“Haven’t been here in years, the quality had gone down for so long. They’re under new management now so I thought I would give it a chance - what a difference. The warm welcome, the very nice interior and atmosphere and the absolutely amazing quality of food is all top tier. I went to Japan in 2023, and it’s been a long time since I’ve felt happy eating sushi, despite it being on of my favourite things to eat. This is easily the most satisfied I’ve been since going there. Couldn’t recommend it higher.“

“Visited SUSHIWA this evening for the first time in 5 years since living in Abbotsford, and it was absolutely amazing! This was honestly the best sushi I’ve ever had. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Dynamite Dinner Box, and everything was so fresh and full of flavor.

The tempura was light, crispy, and you could tell the oil was clean. Every single thing on my plate was perfect — not one complaint. The quality and freshness of the food were top-notch. This was by far the best dining experience I’ve had in a long time. Can’t believe it took me this long to try it, but I’ll definitely be back soon!“

“Went here today for lunch with friends, three of whom selected the box combinations. I selected my usual BC roll and tuna sashimi. The tuna was fresh and the BC roll was one of the better ones that I’ve had. Very pleasant and polite service and nice atmosphere with the big cherry blossom in the middle of the store. Clean restaurant and nice atmosphere. Plenty of parking around although it appears to be a busy strip mall. Easily accessible for anyone with physical mobility challenges. Would recommend and return.“

“We were recommended to eat here from a friend. We were not disappointed. The ambiance was great, the food was awesome and the service was superb. There was a bit of a mix up with some of the orders but the food we were served was still amazing. And then because they felt bad for the mix up they gave us the original order as a bonus meal. The miso soup and sunomono I had to ask for even though it was part of what I ordered. You call out to them as they walk past and they just ignore you. “This has been our go-to place for sushi for years. The food is excellent and the servers are the best. One of them just asks us if we want the usual (always yes).

I've brought family and friends here many times before, so I know their other dishes are good as well. It's become an expectation from my mom that we go here at least once when she comes to visit, and I'm always happy to oblige.“

“I LOVE Hiko Sushi. It's been my regular sushi place since 2020, and I've never been disappointed or gotten sick. The food is absolutely amazing, my favourites are their spicy tuna roll and chicken udon. They have good portions and reasonable prices, and the staff are always very sweet. I don't bother with other sushi places most of the time because I just love Hiko Sushi! I cannot recommend enough.“

“Nikko is an excellent sushi Japanese restaurant. I received a table right away when I arrived. I ordered the Beef Donburi with the Oriental Sushi Roll. Before receiving my order, I was given some complimentary deep-fried sushi pieces. The donburi was exemplary; the marinated beef was very flavourful, and the rice was savoury, even on its own. The sushi was very good and fresh with its distinguishing ingredients.

The restaurant has a nice traditional Japanese aesthetic to it, like scroll portraits and a ramen stand roof. Despite the small dining area, it was never too busy nor did it become crowded when I was there. The restaurant played smooth western European jazz for those that enjoy this music. The service was very pleasant and allowed me to use the washroom through their kitchen.

I would really like to come back to Nikko again to enjoy their other menu options.“

“What a gem!!! To think I've been driving past this little slice of heaven all these years. The sushi is so so fresh, the tempura crispy and light tasting. Their dynamite roll is awesome. Portions are generous.

“Love the food here, I used to go during covid, however, I was very sad to see not long ago how much the food went up in price. There is an all you can sushi option, but during covid it was $18-$22, now it's around $35, I understand that with the terrible economy and inflation and such prices everywhere went up, but at this rate there is less incentive to come here. Non-buffet options did not go up quite as substantially. I will say though that the sushi is pretty good though, just be prepared to be spending well over $40 per person if not perhaps a bit more. It still is potentially a good place to go for special occasions however. Prices aside though the food is pretty good.“

“Drove all the way from Vancouver to eat there. Found the place by accident but food is generous. Taste is very very tasteful. The chicken teriyaki remains crispy on the outside toward the end of the meal.

Decently priced.“

“We usually go to Sushi Nara as a family — my wife, my son, and I — and it has become one of our regular spots.

I always order the Yaki Udon (it’s consistently flavorful and satisfying), Maryam goes for the California Roll, and our son loves to randomly try a bit of everything on the table. It’s honestly the perfect place for that because the menu has so many good options.

There’s also an Asian server there who is unbelievably fast — she moves around like a jet, always attentive, always on top of everything. The service is efficient but still friendly, which makes the whole experience even better.

Great food, quick service, and a comfortable family vibe. We’ll definitely keep coming back.“
