“First time having really great tasting food at a cafe (mango wrap). The dirty chai was also spectacular ! Close to Douglas campus and New West skytrain station. It's operated fully by the owner and their partner that tend to lots of customers daily. I'll definitely make sure to come by more often. They were very attentive to customers even during the busiest rush. Small detail, but the groovy music selection also made perceived time waiting in line pass by quickly and comfortably.“

“Best scone I’ve had ever. Americano with honey was fresh hot and delicious. Worker skipped the tip option which is unheard of but I asked her to add a tip. Menu includes salads as well. Wonderful friendly“

“I was in New West for a meeting, so after I was hungry. I had a choice, it was either McDonald's or across the street Jim's Cafe. I decided to give Jim's a try,and I'm sure glad I did. The atmosphere was great, service was wonderful and the food was just great!! To bad I live in North Vancouver, otherwise I would be at Jim's almost everyday. But I'll be there, for sure, next time I'm in New Westminster!! See you then!!!“

“Chaiiwala is my favorite place in Canada. I come here every day and always enjoy my Chaii. The staff are kind and always smiling, and the female employees are elegant and very friendly. The place is very clean and their food is delicious. I love this place and will definitely keep coming back.“

“I live within walking distance but have only been to this 'restaurant' about 4 or 5 times since 2019. The cafeteria is in the basement of city hall. City hall is NOT in a shopping area so it's not a destination generally.

The food is easily the lowest priced in the area, if not the lower mainland!

It's not haute cuisine but regular North American fare, eg, eggs, omelettes, English muffins, soups, sandwiches, etc.
As a coffee lover, I didn't like my coffee, though.
Service was very friendly and I wanted to leave the lady a little something but they said they couldn't accept gratuities.“

“The barista working here was really kind (Nov 6th around 4pm). My friend and I enjoyed a cup of coffee & hot chocolate. Both were good. Few areas of improvements - napkins. Napkins should be out for customers to use without asking. Also, I recommend leaving extra toilet paper in the washroom. Overall it was clean, decent place to have coffee but what would make us come back was the service. She was very kind and welcoming.“

“What a great hidden gem inside an office building near Royal Columbian Area. The Banh MI bun was the best I've had by far also the portion is quite big. I ordered a spicy lemon grass chicken banh mi, chicken was perfectly flavored, veggies are fresh with also the picked mix, the spice is perfect not lingering but achieved by what seemed like a perfectly placed amount of pepper or a spice pepper blend? Also perhaps the owners/staff were really friendly, with fast service. I would definitely recommend people give it a try great bahn mi, would definitely come back again just for it. Vietnamese coffee is good too, just too sweet for my palate.“
