“Jolly Mac's PubWing Sunday $0.65 per wing min 10 per order. We did 20 Honey Garlic, 12 Sweet and Spicy and 12 Pineapple Curry. The wings have a good batter that is super crunchy on on the heavier batter side but stayed crunchy as they were heavily sauced which normally I'm not a fan or but the sauces were very tasty.Hubby also got the deep fried pickles which were nice and crispy and tasty as well.I will definitely go back!Service was excellent and they were constantly checking in which was appreciated.“
“Wow.Beautiful Irish pub !I lived in Port Moody way too long before I found this place. It's a real hidden gem.Of course I had a Guinness on tap and then a Jameson on the rocks, proper drinks for an Irish pub. It was busy. Very loud, and very busy. Definitely a very lively and popular place.Service did not lack at all despite the full house.Props to the top notch bartender killing behind the counter. Really enjoyed my drinks at this pub.Cheers.“
“I went down on Sunday for the first time for a meat draw that was a lot of fun. They had 4 draws, breakfast specia,l drink specials. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon. The place is quite rustic with a horse ranch out behind. You'll see some pictures of the horses. I liked the rustic feel. Really enjoyed my day.“
“Hidden Treasure to hang out with your friends. We went for a private group hang for over 50 of us.. and still have plenty of room in the main bar area to catch the game.Very clean, parking is plenty.Food is excellent! Atmosphere is great and the service is fabulous.“
“I dined in at Brown's Walnut Grove this evening. Tyler was our server and he was amazing! He gave informative and detailed recommendations of their food and drinks. Everything he recommended that we ordered was delicious. He was attentive, friendly, efficient and enthusiastic. He was a fantastic server and made our evening much more enjoyable! I will definitely be coming back with family/friends and requesting his section.“
“Family and I came to celebrate St.Patricks tonight. The green beers were flowing. The burgers looked picture perfect and were just as delicious as they looked. Best part of tonight was our server Kelsey. Her energy, attentiveness and infectious smile made this a great celebration. ??“
“One of favourite watering holes. The food is always good. But for some unknown reason they took the dynamite salad off the menu. It was original and excellent, a deconstructed California roll salad. Sarah is the best waitress ever and has a memory like a clock.“
“Went in earlier today to grab lunch with my girlfriend, been going to this Browns for couple years now. The food never disappoints. Had a new server that’s never served us before. Cayenne was a great server that was very attentive with a lovely smile. Thank “
“Danielle (Hope I'm spelling it right) was amazing. She recommended a mix of wings and they were amazing. Would definitely recommend trying their wings, Quesadillas could be better but overall we had good time, we enjoyed the food and service was great.“
“First time @ Brown's on a monday for lunch. Loved it!! Prices were high but food was good. Service was outstanding. Our server was super attentive and friendly - which actually added alot to the overall experience. We would go backVegetarian options: Both vegetarian friendly and gluten friendly options available - with notation that celiac gluten free can not be guaranteed. Tofu optionsDietary restrictions: Gluten friendly options“
“Went to watch the Leafs/Canucks and 49ers/Packers. TVs everywhere! Our server Sam, was fantastic. We never had to look or wait for her. Can't really comment on the food as we just had appies but the beer was cold and it's a great place to watch sports.“
“Have frequented this place a lot. Fish & chips is good, wings are good. The prime rip on a kaiser should be on a different bun that's not so soft, like ise the same as the beef dip. It's a typical noisy pub, often busy. The beef burgers are not my favorite taste like frozen cardboard. Fries are decent, they are basically the same as what you get at the costco deli. The fish burger is like a frozen patty not an actual piece of fish as you would expect. Overall we keep coming back.“
“I went to Witchcraft Bistro as my alternative restaurant when Big Feast Bistro was closed. I am glad I did because this was an exceptional restaurant, as far as bars and grills go. When I had taken my seat, I was served with complimentary popcorn, which is a first for any restaurant I went to. I ordered the Cobb Salad with Ranch dressing. The ingredient were fresh and tasted great with each other, both the meat and vegetables. The interior also had a charming antiquated look to it with some memorabilia decor. The service was good as well. The restaurant was not too busy on a Saturday, which was good for a comfortable experience. If I happen to be in Maple Ridge again, I will make sure to come back here.“
“Great food and atmosphere!I got the chance to try their French onion soup which was the BOMB. You’re gonna regret not getting it - it’s so flavourful and the cheese is just right. I also had the Mile High burger with the fries which is enough to feed like 2 people. Didn’t take photos of it because I just devoured it. SO good.“
“Second time here at the “new” location at George Preston. Considering it was Monday at 2:30 the pub had a few tables taken up. Our server Natasha was a total professional and nailed a Burnt Martini for my hubby. Shared steak bites that were tasty and the price was fair. Calamari was very nice and not greasy. FYI… Hockey and CFL is on the multiple screens during the seasons so they have no problem catering to local favourites. Only complaint is that we would have like to see what is offered for brunch but no menu available yet. Indoor and outdoor dining available. Looking forward to brunch.“
“Awesome food and atmosphere. Love the short black dresses that the server's wear ?Parking: Main parking is usually full but there has always been space in the overflow parking lot across the street.Wheelchair accessibility: My wife is in a wheelchair and we had no issues entering the building.“
“Gillnetter Pub is a nice cozy restaurant and pub that is the perfect place to have a drink, late night snacks, and chat with friends. Even in the winter, the patio is heated and cozy to sit at. At Gillnetters, there are daily specials. My favorite day to go is Thursday, which in particular are wing nights (the whole night), where wings are 50 cents each. Over the few times I have visited Gillnetters, I have got the opportunity to try the dry ribs, the honey garlic, Thai, buffalo, Cajun, and teriyaki, and barbeque chicken wings, the apple crumble, and the prosecco wine. Of the things I have tried, I would highly recommend the Cajun, honey garlic, and Thai wings and the apple crumble. Overall, the wings have the perfect ratio of crust to meat and are crispy on the outside while meaty on the inside. The apple crumble, on the other hand, is quite big, so it would be a nice dessert to share between 2 to 4 people, depending on how hungry people are. On the other hand, I am not so much a fan of the barbeque and buffalo wings. The barbeque wings are smothered in strong prepackaged barbeque sauce and the buffalo wings use the basic Frank’s Red hot sauce. Overall, although there are things on the menu that I like and others that I dislike, Gillnetters is cheap comfort food that I would go back for, and every time I revisit, I order the dry Cajun wings along with a wet wing flavor of my choice.“
“Employees all attentive and polite. Location clean and comfortable.Covered patio available but very hot.Food hot and delicious! But not enough food in the Dragon Bowl for $25. I am a 140 pound female body builder and I left the table hungry. Regular drinks are $4.50 (pop) The decor is in dark colors and it was quiet until noon, when it got busy.I still recommend.“
“Lots of good varieties of French fry appies, and almost a meal in themselves. Very old rustic building. There's a West Coast Express train station between the pub and the Fraser River, so it has a bit of a 'back street commercial' vibe to it. Funky place for a beer and a burger.“
“Attended the Molten Blues band show this past February and what a great show. Need more live entertainment like that. We were able to reserve a table and our waitress was one of the best servers we've ever had. Rock star! I'm generally not big on pub food. But full credit to the chef. Our meals were spot on and brought to us in a very timely manner. Especially considering how busy the establishment was. I would recommend the shows , the service and the food to anyone who is looking to get out and enjoy a great evening. Well done...!Cheers.“
“Every visit to Chances in Maple Ridge is always enjoyable. This restaurant and pub truly offers the most incredible food in town. Whether dining in or ordering takeout, the staff here is truly remarkable. I can never find anything to complain about here. The live music is fire ? and the games are always fresh and up-to-date. Bingo is a regular event, so make sure to visit and see for yourself. Rest assured, you will not be disappointed ?“
“My daughter & I had one of the bowls, no yogurt placed on top. My daughter said the chicken was burnt, Waitress was very pleasant. I was pleased that the music wasn't blaring like before.Vegetarian options: I had the tofu vegie dish. Very good.“
“This is my go to pub for beer and wings - they have a great selection and usually there is some wing special each night. Service is always top notch with attentive servers. Wednesdays you might want to plan to be there earlier as it can get busy, especially if the weather is nice to sit outside on their multiple patios. We go an play darts there as well sometimes as its the only place in town for that.“
“This is a nice family pub and I've been there often. Atmosphere is comfortable with mixed tables and levels. Service is always good as well as the food. Easy parking in the parking lot or on the street. Beer and wine store included in the “
“Just had our small work Christmas party here, we couldn’t have asked for better service or food! Thank you so much taking care of us so efficiently and promptly. I didn’t realize there was live music on Thursday nights, unfortunately it made it a little loud for conversation but all good anyway. Thanks again from Hersheys!“
“Far away my favorite place for Korean style fried chicken. The corn chicken is always a must and the portion sizes are appropriate for what you’re paying.I’ve never had a bad experience with any of the wait staff, despite what some reviews here are saying. I recommend coming here yourself and trying it out. The only downside is it may take a while for your food to get out, but it’s a long process to get the stuff together. Really great tasting chicken!“
“After having had our first date here, we returned a year later to celebrate our first anniversary. We were absolutely blown away by the care and generosity of the staff, especially Jen the assistant manager. They went above and beyond to make our night special and we strongly recommend everyone give them a try!“
“This place is a hidden gem. They have a burger and beer deal for 11$ that can't be beat. Great food great service. Sue was our waitress, super nice lady very friendly, and just made our experience so much better. We will definitely be going back.“
“Service was great and server was accommodating. Atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. Came for brunch and whereas every other restaurant was busy, browns was not. Got a seat right away. They didn't have a few ingredients on the menu which was a little odd but we made due. They had to swap out potatoes for french fries and didn't have a few drinks that were listed on the menu which was disappointing.“
“I love this pub. I've been going here for YEARS! The staff are great, the food is always good and the prices are on point! One of the best pubs in the Fraser Valley. They also have fun nights like trivia, comedy, etc, and sometimes they have a DJ on weekends! I highly recommend checking it out. ALSO, the nail salon beside the pub is amazing. It's called Lunaria Beauty Studio and Aria is the best!!!Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options.Parking: You can usually get a spot in the parking lot beside the pub and there's also a little stretch of street parking on 56th.“
“First and perhaps most importantly... The Reach has plastic straws, this point alone deserves six or seven stars... but there is much more that this great pub has to offer. The food is good too and the service is also great. It is LOUD, but this is to be expected in a pub. I'll be back for sure. I highly recommend that you try them out, too. It's probably one of the better pubs in Maple Ridge!“
“Don't let the harsh exterior fool you! The interior is lovely, and this is by far THE BEST tasting brunch I have had in perhaps a decade, maybe more. Service is efficient & friendly, atmosphere is impeccable with live music at the perfect volume. And the view over the river can't be beat. I just found my new favourite spot!!!!“
“I enjoy the vibe here. It's relaxed and has bar service like a proper bar should. Drinks, whilst limited in selection, are good value too. Some of the people leaving 1* reviews having expected a waitress and full silver spoon service are hilarious. Go to Cactus Club if you want to pay $12 for a beer and give an extra 25% tip to a waitress you never asked for.“
“Samz in Poco used to be a regular spot for me, however we had moved away. Recently returning to the area, we hit Samz again and found it is still a great time. The new $10/$5 menu is a HUGE WIN as no other pub in the Tri Cities is offering a menu like this all day every day. This makes it a very affordable visit with cheaper drink and food options that don't suck. More of the Tri Cities pubs should offer this type of "wallet friendly" menu as these same items can cost upwards of $15-$20 elsewhere. They still have their daily specials as well, so there is something for everyone! The room is great with lots of windows and natural light, tons of TVs for sports and staff that gets you what you need when you need it. Some long time staffers as well so you know they treat their team well. WELL DONE SAMZ!“
“Located inside Chances casino (don't forget to bring your ID as you can't get into the casino or the restaurant without it). This place seems to be the de facto gathering spot in the area with a number of celebrations being held. They had live entertainment on the night we visited (think it was Annika & the Earthlings and they performed an array of different cover songs). Can get loud during the performances but the music and vibe was good.Had the peach sunset (peach puree, pineapple juice, soda, grenadine) which didn't really taste very peachy. Also the veal schnitzel (panko crusted veal cutlet topped with a bearnaise sauce and served with house vegetables and potatoes. The veal was pretty good. I've never had it before with a bearnaise sauce so I was a bit skeptical at first but it turned out fine.“
“First time here, wow! Highly recommend. Had Belinda for a server. She made the experience so much better. Super attentive and pleasant. We had the appy platter and it was a great variety.Kids are welcome and they had a blast talking to the staff. There is lots of things I would try on the menu and it was all around a good visit.Very decent prices. We went at happy hour and it was cozy and warm.“
“We're been going here for 20+ years. It's evolved from a small town bar to a lively pub as the Fort has grown into a hot tourist spot. Decor hasn't changed much though so rather dated, but that's part of its charm. Food's standard pub fare, nothing remarkable. Good selection of local and import beer. Service is friendly, but it's often hard to flag down a server.“
“Honestly, the Jolly Coachman is a classic neighborhood pub with its reasonably prices, cozy atmosphere, authentic and personalized layout, and its friendly staff. Places like this are a dying breed. The food here is fresh, tasty, and best of all, as fairly priced as it comes in this economy. Not cheap cheap, mind you, but the days of the nine dollar burger are regrettably behind us.If you live in spitting distance of this sleepy hidden gem, I'd make the most of it. They also serve brunch, which is delightful.“
