“I hadn't been in 4 months until this weekend and it looks like they recently had some staff turnover, but it's all good. I look forward to meeting the new staff. Weekend brunch was decent for bar food. It's a good idea. I'll be going back for that. I thought everything was pretty pricey, but then I had to remind myself that Canadian prices are not like US prices. The liquor tax here is bonkers. So, I guess their prices are on point for the area. Fleetwood is my favorite area in Surrey. I like this place as being my local hang out that me and my chums can walk to. It's also a good first date place because it's pretty low key. I.E., not loud, it has an upbeat ambiance (especially cozy on a rainy day), and you can actually have a conversation and hear each other. Another positive is that they cater to a wide demographic. All ages, all races, and so there are lots of regulars. I have found that the patrons are generally easy going and so a conversation can started pretty easily.“

“Overall a great place, however they allow smoking on the patio right next to a door and sitting at the bar you get the horrible stench of tobacco every time the door to the patio opens. Really should not allow smoking on the premises.“

“Food at Jolly Mac's is consistently very good. service is always friendly. One issue is that I have been shopping at the Liquor Store for 17 years. They always had tax and deposit included in the prices. Suddenly their prices have been changed to not have tax and deposit. I am not sure why this was done. It was always better to know the price you see is the price you pay. I think this was a poorly thought out decision.“

“It is just… not chill. The food is great… I’ve worked in restaurants, and the vibe of the place seems hostile. The staff seems almost nervous to screw up. There’s a tension, I’m never really comfortable just spending time in there. “I had I hope I get the spelling right but candy the waitress we had upon open was normally a night waitress on for short hand staff she went above and way beyond any expectation of the guildford street pub as a regular place to eat a decent meal for a very decent price this is definitely the kind of quality service and staff and her service has made a regular out of me.“

“I was at the Horse and Ryder pub for dinner and a live show. It happened to be Darren Lee and Mario the entertainers. This was the best entertainment our group has seen in 2 years. They interacted with the audience and made us all part of the show. It was amazing. Last but not least was the amazing staff on. Our server Samantha was one if the best we have seen in ages. “This branch is always really good.. there’s never been a time when I had anything wrong with my order and I’ve been here so many times, it’s basically my go to now because of the good experience I get everytime I visit. We’re here Friday night at 10:40 pm but the food still came out fresh. And the food is always tasty and good. Customer service is one of the best in Surrey too.“

“We love dining at Brown's Maple Ridge for family outings, or date nights. The atmosphere is a good time for all, feels more like downtown vibes, which is hard to find in our area. The crafted cocktails are delicious and the appies are great for sharing.

“This place literally came to our rescue.

We wanted to go for a little road trip.
So, we decided to head from West Vancouver all the way to Port Moody for lunch.

The original Brewery we wanted to go to was in an area that had been hi-jacked and overtaken by local folks, strollers, bikes and what seemed an endless amount of people on foot.
.......The Parade. Roads closed, traffic lights confused, and the so ever awesome bumper to bumper standstill of angry vehicles.
On this particularly hot day.

Keep in mind we had already been in traffic coming from the North Shore.
It was now 2pm.
We circled about 5 times and not a single parking space in sight, there might have been one available in Chilliwack.....moving on....

So, we decided....let's go someplace familiar, reliable, quality that will most likely deliver.
That's exactly what we got.

Little place called New Port Village.
Free parking right in front of Browns. Beautiful comfy inside and cozy sunny patio with great service.
The only thing I wanted was a cold beer and Dry Ribs I had been craving all day.

2 Stellas on tap.
Dry Ribs and The Traditional Burger.....and they all rocked.
I love Brown's Dry Ribs. I'm used to the ones from Cactus but Brown's is slightly meatier and juicier.
The Burger was perfectly cooked. Super Fresh. Stellar put together.
Cozy little booth away from the heat, cold beer, juicy burger and a feisty irresistible Dry Ribs.
....and all of this served to us graciously by our awesome server Grace.

“This Brown’s on Glen has incredible service, Incredibly compassionate staff, and their food, especially the blackened chicken cowboy salad is like it used to be and back to phenomenal….yum… the chicken was so so tasty and tender …yummy! We were there the last week in May and while the service was slow it was still great!! The manager came by and apologized and also insisted he pay for a couple of drinks for us. Even though we insisted on paying as we simply appreciated him apologizing for the slow service. We had a great discussion about how hard it is to staff restaurants. I can’t recommend this Brown’s enough. Great place to go with two people, a small group or a large group.“

“Very quiet local conveniently located near the river. Beautiful scenery just outside the door. There is outdoor seating and it is family friendly. We had a couple of appies and a couple of drinks.
