“After my first order, Ichthus sushi became one of my favorites. I’ve ordered hope combo B, Ebi \\u0026 avo inari and, Hamachi sashimi. All of them were so fresh. The price of the food and the portion size were reasonable and generous. I highly recommend their Ebi \\u0026 avo inari! The combination of shrimps and inari was fantastic. “I have been going to the restaurant for the past 10 years now. The food here feels very nostalgic to me. The service is always great. The manager and the workers always greet with a friendly smile. It really feels like home here.

My favourite menu is definitely the 만두 칼국수 (dumpling noodle soup) or the 순대국 (soondae soup). Sometimes our family gets the pre made soondae soup or gamjatang to make it at home. Their broth is smooth, hearty, nostalgic, and rich in flavour. You can really tell that love has been poured in the the recipe and the flavour hasn't changed since the first time I've been here. They make their noodles and dumplings in house so the texture and the bouncy ness is unmatched.

This is my go to restaurant when I want something familiar, nostalgic, hearty, and good. I think I might have an emotional attachment with the mandu kalguksu because it just feels like a warm hug after a rainy day. Please try it 🥰💝

Oh and their side dish is really good (i love their gamja jorim in particular) so you know this restaurant is legit!!“

“I used to order BBQ and i LOVED BBQ chicken but since Hens Up i stopped. Taste is different but on the same level as BBQ even better depending on the chicken recipe you choose.
Service is always on point 15/10.

She doubled checked if there's reso at 715pm. And they didn't, so we got lucky and got a big table for us. Nova was awesome from leading us to the table and gave us some time b4 placing an order. The tablet was informative and easy to place an order. We ordered the 2 person $97 combo and added $5 lettuce. (Which we find that it was not worth it for 4 piece of lettuce) PLUS, we had to order the DUCK... new on the menu. We ordered a lot of food for 2; but we know that we will save this for our lunch next day. The second the order was submitted our sides came out and BBQ dishes, Soy Bean Soup, Rice, and Duck arrived. Nova and staff was always on it and made sure if we had everything. Honestly, we didn't have to wait for anything. As you all know, there's many Korean BBQ restaurants in Coquitlam. We've tried a few, and tbh this is one we would come back to. Good reason for us to go to coquitlam to eat at ToeDam and grocery shop at HMart. “Service is really good. Highly recommended. The meat in barbecue combo is nice- tender and tasty, especially the marinated pork and beef, though the portion can be more.

Tofu kimchi soup and the vegetable salad that came along with the barbecue combo were really good!

The portion of small Gamjatang is generous, though I feel the taste is average.

“I had one of the best mool naeng myun I have ever had in the Vancouver area at Cafe SoBahn. It did not have a meat slice, but who cares. The broth was close to perfection. Usually I drown the broth in vinegar and mustard, but not here.

The sign for the restaurant has a very hard to read font, very thin on a white background so it's easy to miss. I missed it. It is definitely more of a cafe than a restaurant, but boy that naeng myun was unbelievable“

I was in the area for a ride when I saw this restaurant was open, and decided to pop by for some food. The portions were great for the price and everything tasted amazing!

I ordered their signature clam bibimbap and their deep fried squid and fries. I wasn't too sure how I'd like the bibimbap (because honestly clams are overrated), but I really enjoyed the flavours here. It was even more elevated if you wrap it in seaweed with some side dishes. The squid was perfect as well, and the fries were crispy without being overcooked.

If you have a chance to visit and are craving some Korean cuisine, I would definitely stop by here.“

Weekend craving for fried chicken hits, and the reviews looked good, 10 minute drive, so decided to try it out.

In short: SO good.

The pork belly bao was unnnnnnnreal, the soy garlic chicken was super tasty and the spicy chicken was solid.

Small location, seems like a family business (maybe mother and daughter?) who were both very friendly when I picked up the food and the food was ready in 10 minutes like they said.

“This post is long overdue. Over the last 20 years, I have tried many pork bone soups, but Arirang has always been the one that hit home. Although I'm not Korean, seeing a tour bus full of Korean tourists enjoying their meals with happy faces speaks volumes about the authenticity and flavour of their soup. I’ve been ordering the same soup for many years, and the level of umami is indescribable. Their ribs are just meh; on par with food court quality, ok to skip. But their backbone soup is truly one of a kind. Oh the black cod is finger licking good too 🤤“

Came on a Saturday night and the place filled up quickly and the K-pop music made the space lively (our 2.5y/o daughter kept dancing the whole night). Food wait was around 30 minutes, but when it came, everything came! The spicy beef intestine hot pot was awesome if you like organs, very well-seasoned. Everyone loved the seafood pancake, which was very crispy and had a loads of filling. Japchae portion was huge and very tasty. My favorite was the bossom and jokbal (braised pork hock) dish! Super tender, gelatinous and flavorful, highly recommend. The kettle Vanmak makgeoli helped us wash down all that food, which we had to pack half of it to go. I ordered the soft tofu stew but got it without meat since I'm recovering from a surgery which they were able to accommodate me. They even came back to ask if I was okay with the egg and I said I am. Everyone in our group was happy with their food.“
