“Had amazing mushroom starters followed by paneer tikka and tandoori roti. Unique taste of paneer tikka and roti’s were soft. The ice cream could have been more sweet! The staff was polite and took feedback in great spirit!Overall a good experience!“
“Went for dinner with 2 friends and we were celebrating a birthday, shared 3 dishes. It is a family owned and very intimate dining experience as the place is tiny. The food was delicious and plenty for 3 of us. I would highly recommend red curry, pad Thai and beef broccoli. They surprised the birthday gal with delicious cheese cake!Vegetarian options: They have veg only dishes“
“Located at the top of Burnaby Mountain, I believe they were recently rebranded/renovated. They offer a very reasonably priced $40 for 3 courses or $65 for 5 courses. The website does mention they only take reservations so do be mindful of that! They had a la carte available at the time as well, but the value is way better with the set menus. We tried the 5 courses (Starter + Sushi Roll (4pc) + Soup OR Salad + Entree + Dessert) as a part of Dine Out Vancouver this year but it seems they have extended their offering for the next little while. Inside is dimly lit giving a romantic vibe!We went as a group of 4 and this is what we tried:Starters: Ahi Tuna Tartare, Hamachi CarpaccioSushi Roll: Salmon Roll (sockeye salmon, cucumber, avocado), Crab Roll (fresh crab, avocado, cucumber)Soup: Lobster Bisque (with lobster chunks and garlic toast.. mmm)Entree: Surf & Turf (8oz NY Steak with choice of 3oz lobster tail or 2 scallops), Miso-Glazed Sable FishDessert: Chocolate Souffle with vanilla bean gelato and fresh berriesDrinks: Recommend the Shanghai Fizz (2oz - $15) - gin, lychee liqueur, pineapple juice, ginger ale. They also had a good variety of mocktails as well. The seafood in the starters/sushi rolls were good quality and fresh tasting. Portions were very very generous, and everything was tastier than I expected! The presentation was lovely. Even just the Surf & Turf itself would be charged for much more at similar establishments. I would definitely return for a special occasion/date night!“
“I went here with my partner for my 32nd birthday! Right from the start, we were greeted warmly and I was excited to tell them it was my birthday and they were happy to have us! Our server was very attentive and kept checking on us regularly! We started off with the Avocado Dip which had incredible flavour plus the added lime finished it off and I actually liked the pico de gallo (I don’t like it usually). I had the Taste of The Tri-Cities taster menu for my main with the Zen Roll (which is one of the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had), the Steak Frites (the kale salad was refreshing and steak was cooked perfectly and very well seasoned). My partner had the Grilled Dijon Salmon which was my favourite dish of the night! The soy-Dijon butter sauce was delicious and the cut of steelhead was cooked beautifully (I was tempted to trade the rest of my steak for her salmon). I took the Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch Bar home with me as well as complimentary New York Cheesecake. We love coming here and this visit was a very memorable one. Thank you for making my birthday a very special one.“
“First trying this place. First impressions were it was clean, nice decor. Friendly greeting. I tried the veggie snitzel. It was really tasty. I was pleasantly surprised. The black forest cake was good. I wasn't a fan of the ceasar salad dressing. Service was a bit slow as there was only one server. All around first experience. I would go again.“
“Kolby at Cactus Club is an exceptional waitress! Her friendly demeanor and attentiveness made my dining experience truly enjoyable. She was knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and ensured that everything was perfect throughout my meal.“
“We went there with Kids, and had a nice experience. Servers were friendly (Thanks Isabel), food were fantastic. Especially, the portion of kids menus were so generous. We will be back here definitely.Vegetarian options: ProvidingParking: Spacious parking lot.Kid-friendliness: Perfect place for kids. High chair, booster chair“
“We showed up half hour before close with intentions of just grabbing cocktails to go and leaving. The staff said we could order anything on tap and stay if we wanted. I have never been so welcomed by staff in the service Industry that close to closing. Even though it still felt uncomfortable to stay that late we felt every bit as welcome as we would if the place had just opened. And the cocktails were amazing. It's no wonder that we are seeing nice life available in more and more restaurants. It's a great product and a fantastic business model. As long as they keep it up and don't sell out to a larger corp they will be a staple in the lower mainland for a very long time.“
“Had a really fun experience! The El Diablo was such a well rounded and refreshing drink, the other drinks were also very good. Mushroom caps were the best I have had in a long time. The server was so friendly and so kind! A great spot to go for a fun night out, or for a quick “
“Earl's Brentwood is our favorite and we go there regularly. The ambience is lovely and staff are friendly. This time however the service was very disappointing and the food was not fresh and tasty. I hope they go back in providing a good service...“
“I came in for brunch with my daughter and the food was fantastic! We got The Chorizo hash and Earls breakfast, eggs were cooked perfectly and the service was outstanding with our server Sofia and Jenna. It was the perfect meal to kick off our weekend. 10/10 would recommend!“
“I went there with my cousin and his wife for lunch. They came from Toronto. We found that the decoration, lighting and ambiance were sweet and lovely. I drank three pints of beer. We also dined in there. The food was delicious. The price was quite reasonable. Last but not least, the service was friendly and great. For sure I will come back soon.“
“I love the lounge! The adjoining restaurant offers a food service till 8pm… but if you don’t want to order from them you can simply order take out or delivery while you drink some beverages. Complimentary snacks at your request and great crew of regulars“
“Claudio’s is a great local find. The food is outstanding. Best Caesar salad ever!!! We keep coming back for it. Staff very attentive, great service and HUGE portions. You can order a salad each and a main to share. But we always have desert !! Servers, chefs & Bartender anre exceptional, as well! So welcoming and good at what they do!“
“You won't believe how amazing our experience was celebrating my hubby's birthday! We chose this place and it turned out to be the best decision ever! The food was absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend the quesabirrias here! And the service from Diego, our server, was out of this world! He went above and beyond to make sure our food was spot on and even recommended the most delicious drinks that perfectly complemented our meals. It was truly an unforgettable experience! We’ll definitely be coming back.“
“My mom and I came out for earls happy hour and we had the best time at this location! Jojo who’s a shift leader sat us and we had a great little conversation with him, super sweet guy :). He recommended my mom try watermelon slush in the red sangria and she is now obsessed with it, 10/10 rec. Harrison was our server and he was also great!! Super attentive and kind and made us feel super welcome. Shift leader dan also stopped by to say hi #legend. Thanks station square ?????“
“This location has been the default for meeting up with friends because of convenient it is to get to. We had an amazing server tonight, her name is Destinee and what was incredibly personable. She took care of us exactly as much as we needed! Not overbearing but checked in at the right times. Was super friendly and definitely one of the best servers we’ve ever had, at any restaurant. Don’t have enough good words for her! Food was consistent and what we expected/wanted when going to a Cactus Club.“
“This is a nice play to watch sports at lunch or after work. Happy Hour then trivia was a cool option. The Pub Food is elevated here. Then the Happy Hour was cut from 3-5 p.m. which makes no sense. How many people get off work before 5:00? It's a bit disappointing. Persona has the best bar patio in Burnaby. This is attractive to the after work crowd in the area when the weather is warmer. Now the good times at Persona will become distant memories at Happy Hour as many people will now go to other options in the area.“
“Came to Cactus Club to celebrate 2 birthdays my friend and my own, the food was great, but the highlight of our visit was our server Mareem, her positive attitude and customer service was 10/10, she had great enthusiasm and energy. And made our visit quite “
“I visited Milestones Guildford twice this week. Service was great both times, atmosphere was quite lively this evening, quieter during the day, as would be expected. I ordered the chicken parmesan, which turned out to be a chopped, pressed, formed, prepackaged, likely frozen product. I didn't enjoy the texture of the chicken but it was nice and crispy on the outside at least. The pasta tasted,/felt like it had some weird shortening or lard or some kind of not tasty fat all over it. My stomach has been a little upset since eating it 2 hours ago. Would return but would order something else. The burgers and chicken wings looked good.Clean, plenty of parking, pleasant staff. Okay prices.“
“Everything was good, food and service wise. Brunch happy hour has great prices too. Covid-19 prepared, hand sanitizer available. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't the wait when we arrived, no one seem to notice we arrived and we were waiting quite a bit, to be seated, and there was no lineup. Otherwise, great place overall.“
“Great local pizza! Ended up going with the pepperoni king & caged heat.Great tasting oven made pizza that comes in either 14’ or 16’, all pizzas are just 6 slices the slices are just slightly bigger depending on the size. Went with 2 hot honey and 2 chipotle garlic sauces. The chipotle garlic actually ended up being the spicer sauce out of the 2 which caught us by surprise but was good nonethelessOverall pizza and sauces were great but I found the prices to be a bit steep paying $75 for 2 pizzas 4 dips and the tip.Would recommend :)“
