“Kun is one of the best sushi places we’ve been to in the lower mainland! It’s a hidden gem that’s tucked away.

. We had the salmon oshi, spicy tuna roll, Sunset roll and spicy chopped scallop roll. Everything was great, including the matcha (green) tea!

. The waitress was friendly, attentive and had great knowledge of the menu.

Atmosphere: it was full when we went on a Friday night. Reservations are recommended for Friday nights and weekends but we were lucky to get a table while walking in.“

“Always go for the sushi set, it’s the best way to enjoy a variety, from rich tuna to buttery hamachi to delicate shima aji. The cold freshness of the fish meets the gentle warmth of the rice, and every piece is spot-on. The miso soup is also a standout, layered with deep fish umami and savory miso. Highly recommend! Please don’t expect hotel service here considering it’s a family owned business with a couple working, some items might take time but it’s worth the wait.“

Price is on the higher side for the portion but in line with most other Japanese restaurants. You’d also have to order and pay first at the counter before the food is delivered to your table. “I’d give a 4.5. We didn’t realize this was a $50-60 per person type of place 😅 but the food is reliably good. Other than pricing, the other negative is the hand rolls had smaller and lower quality pieces of fish than the nigiri. They were also out of uni yet charge the same price for all uni dishes“

“I did my research around the area ahead and locked this sushi restaurant as it has good options and prices.
After visiting the fisherman wharf and the Cannery, we came here for lunch.
The Chirashi Don was nicely packed with dishes. Chicken teriyaki has great portion. I ordered the Mega Sashimi which was nicely presented and good quality fish. I may got more fish for the same price with two Sashimi bento, but those would be more average fish.

“We arrived just before 4 so we were able to order from the lunch menu. E everyone ordered bento box. It was a lot of food so come hungry. They served us toasted rice tea, very nice. With the bento boxes you had a choice of salad or edamame. Service was fast and courteous. Food was delicious. Great location for a lunch or dinner before dropping someone off at the airport.“

“I was surprised they did not have a lot of food items for “pick and go” like their store in Vancouver. This was my first time there so maybe this location just operates differently? We were there to pick up some rolls and sushi for lunch. Much smaller store than the one in Vancouver and staff were very nice and they did offer many other shelf-stable food items.“

“M Sushi was able to accommodate our party of 15. Which included relatives from out of town. The food was fresh and tasty. The service was patient and attentive with our group. The only complaint was that the miso soup was too salty. It was served in the middle of our meal and not the start of it. All in all everyone left happy and full. Outside of the food, they had a claw machine that kept the kids/teens preoccupied. We would be back again. Thank you to the staff of M Sushi for your food and service!“

“The other day I tried their House Roll and Maki Combo A. The house roll was amazing, and the price of it was reasonable, considering that a House Roll in restaurants in Vancouver could be the same price if not even higher, and the House Roll of BanZai has definitely been one of the biggest (in terms of size) I've ever had for now. Regarding the Maki Combo A, the price was also reasonable. The service was nice, fast, although keep in mind that at BanZai as well as other restaurants in Richmond you'll need to bring cash to pay at the restaurant.“
