“Best Unagi Rice Combo ever. I wrote a long explanation for this review, but I finally deleted it. Just check the photo, u can smell and taste it even from there. Not too salty or sweet, just feel the true happiness gifted by the god of eel.“

“Kun is one of the best sushi places we’ve been to in the lower mainland! It’s a hidden gem that’s tucked away.

. We had the salmon oshi, spicy tuna roll, Sunset roll and spicy chopped scallop roll. Everything was great, including the matcha (green) tea!

. The waitress was friendly, attentive and had great knowledge of the menu.

Atmosphere: it was full when we went on a Friday night. Reservations are recommended for Friday nights and weekends but we were lucky to get a table while walking in.“

“Always go for the sushi set, it’s the best way to enjoy a variety, from rich tuna to buttery hamachi to delicate shima aji. The cold freshness of the fish meets the gentle warmth of the rice, and every piece is spot-on. The miso soup is also a standout, layered with deep fish umami and savory miso. Highly recommend! Please don’t expect hotel service here considering it’s a family owned business with a couple working, some items might take time but it’s worth the wait.“

Other than pricing, the other negative is the hand rolls had smaller and lower quality pieces of fish than the nigiri. They were also out of uni yet charge the same price for all uni dishes“

“I did my research around the area ahead and locked this sushi restaurant as it has good options and prices.
After visiting the fisherman wharf and the Cannery, we came here for lunch.
The Chirashi Don was nicely packed with dishes. Chicken teriyaki has great portion. I ordered the Mega Sashimi which was nicely presented and good quality fish. I may got more fish for the same price with two Sashimi bento, but those would be more average fish.

“We arrived just before 4 so we were able to order from the lunch menu. E everyone ordered bento box. It was a lot of food so come hungry. They served us toasted rice tea, very nice. With the bento boxes you had a choice of salad or edamame. Service was fast and courteous. Food was delicious. Great location for a lunch or dinner before dropping someone off at the airport.“

The quality is equally good in comparison to the other locations. In all that time, the quality has never wavered or changed and they always make sure to remember all the customizations you make which is so important for a picky eater like myself. Whenever I stop by the food is always served quickly (and deliciously 😋) and the location itself is always clean and tidy.

All the staff are also amazing! I used to come to the location regularly when I worked nearby and the staff made an effort to remember me, my order, as well as always asking about my day.

Even recently, when I made an error in my delivery order and reached out, Togo was super understanding and helpful!

Overall I highly recommend this location if you're looking for good fresh sushi with exceptional service to go with it!“

“The other day I tried their House Roll and Maki Combo A. The house roll was amazing, and the price of it was reasonable, considering that a House Roll in restaurants in Vancouver could be the same price if not even higher, and the House Roll of BanZai has definitely been one of the biggest (in terms of size) I've ever had for now. Regarding the Maki Combo A, the price was also reasonable. The service was nice, fast, although keep in mind that at BanZai as well as other restaurants in Richmond you'll need to bring cash to pay at the restaurant.“

“M Sushi was able to accommodate our party of 15. Which included relatives from out of town. The food was fresh and tasty. The service was patient and attentive with our group. The only complaint was that the miso soup was too salty. It was served in the middle of our meal and not the start of it. All in all everyone left happy and full. Outside of the food, they had a claw machine that kept the kids/teens preoccupied. We would be back again. Thank you to the staff of M Sushi for your food and service!“

“Ordered seafood salad and my gf loved it. Ordered a chicken teriyaki box for myself and the chicken came as fried. Weird. Never had teriyaki chicken this style before but I guess this might be a fusion attempt or something g. Just not used to it.“

“Loved everything about this place! We stopped by late night and had a bunch of their robata as well as some sashimi and tartare.

The robata was top notch. The charcoal grilling was done skillfully, adding smoky flavour to the skewers while the meat was cooked perfectly. My favourite was the chicken yakitori, but we also very much enjoyed the beef tongue, beef short ribs, ton toro, gizzard, and chicken skin. The shishamo was a bit on the salty side, but the grilling was done very well.

We also ordered the salmon belly sashimi and the toro tartare. The salmon belly was very fresh and presented nicely on ice. I also really enjoyed the toro tartare. The presentation was on point and the combination of textures and flavours was just right for me. The raw dishes were a great contrast to the robata!“

“Had lunch omakase yesterday, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh. The chef and staff were very friendly and talkative! I was delighted to try a new sake. I can confidently say this is the highest quality omakase I’ve had in Vancouver—better than the two Michelin-starred Japanese restaurants I’ve tried before. The only thing I think could be improved is that the flavors were a bit on the salty side. If they were a touch milder, it would better highlight the freshness of the ingredients. Food is overall very good, I like the sushi, sashimi, BC rolls, salad, chicken teriyaki, futomaki, tempura, and ice cream. The miss are sunomono too sweet lack vinegar, goma salad too salty, and that thirsty feeling from MSG (which I have no idea from which items). Yes I will go back again :)“

“Food was FANTASTIC. I honestly expected nothing less of the place and it met my every expectation food-wise.

The service was alright, they do a device ordering style. Which can be confusing for some people so watch out for that, my family personally found it easy to navigate so we didn't have much trouble with it.

The only big complaint I had was the wait time. It was a weekend, however we were told that we'd be seated after 15 minutes, when reality was that we waited for A NEAR HOUR.

“My first time at Toku was excellent. We were seated quickly and the staff were very friendly. The famous roll set, available 11 am to 3 pm, includes a full uramaki roll, a side dish, and miso soup. I tried the flamed sushi as a side dish and the salmon was very tender. The sea urchin was also fresh.“
