“I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, this is the best cafe in town. The home made baked goods are top tier, and the service is always excellent. If you haven’t gone here and you’re craving something sweet, you have to try this place!!“

“Stopped by based on a recommendation from a friend after lamenting that very few bakers in the lower mainland know how to properly bake and… I was really impressed!

Their puff pastries, and in particular their croissants, were exemplary! Perfectly laminated with even and fluffy flake, just the right amount of chew, and uniformly caramelized. Probably the best in and around Vancouver.

Service was super friendly. Went early on a Saturday, so can’t speak to how orderly they are during rush, but I would happily wait in line for their treats.

“My partner and I arranged to have high tea today and the experience was just PERFECT 👌. They had a table setup for us in the corner where there was lots of natural light from outside and the table just looked so cutely prepared for us. The staff were very friendly and quick to assist us. We chose the Strawberry Sundae tea which was infused with so many flavours making it very delightful to sip on. And when the bakery items were brought over there was a good assortment of yummy foods. The top of the tier was all of the desserts and the bottom was all of the pastries. Both of us did get a bit of a sugar rush, to be expected of a bakery haha. We both highly recommend Cassandra Cake Co. for high tea as well as any custom bakery requests.“

“Chef Hollie rocks!! She did a corporate event for me and it was so fun and well-received. She even accommodated gluten-free. I loved it so much that I will go back to her store to do a class. The cookies were so delicious as well as looked fantastic. Love getting to support a local company and boss-lady, a two-time Food Network winner to boot!

“After finishing my hearing test a few doors down I wanted to grab a coffee for my trip back to Maple Ridge. I went into a name brand store, was ignored and left. Then I spotted this gem. I ordered my usual black coffee and watched as someone actually ground the fresh beans and then made my coffee in a French press. I joked with them that that's how I make my coffee at home. I added a blueberry lemon scone and had a nice drive home. All 3 staff were a pleasure to deal with, and my snack was delicious.“

“My daughter had ordered the delicious dacarons from Earthling Foods in December, and then received a notice for a class there in February. We both attended and had such fun. We had hands-on instruction about making small dacarons and a mini-cake, and the experience was so enjoyable, both in instruction and atmosphere. “Let's be real, their cube breads and some of the signature stuff are actually legit. We tried the sweet potato cube and it was next-level good.
But here's the tea: it can be a bit hit or miss. Got the famous mori roll cake and... where's the filling? The description promised all this flavour, but it was kinda subtle. Like, really subtle. The cake itself was moist and the cream was fresh, but you're left wondering what the whole point was.
It's not your typical super-sweet North American bakery, which is cool, but sometimes you just wish they'd amp up the flavours a tiny bit.
Still, it's a unique spot. I'd go back for the breads, but I'm keeping my expectations in check for the cakes.“
