“I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, this is the best cafe in town. The home made baked goods are top tier, and the service is always excellent. If you haven’t gone here and you’re craving something sweet, you have to try this place!!“

“My close friend recommended this place, and we decided to try it out together. It was my first time having fluffy soufflés, and they were so good—super light, airy, not overly sweet, and packed with flavor. I absolutely loved them.

We also ordered two drinks. I can’t remember the exact names, but I believe one was the Hiel signature latte and the other was an Einspänner. Both were very yummy and not overly strong, which made them easy to enjoy.

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and I also live very close by, so it’s definitely convenient for me. One small thing to note is that the tables were a bit dirty when we sat down. I think it would be great if staff could check and wipe tables more often after each customer leaves.

Overall, it’s a lovely spot and I’d still recommend giving it a try—especially for the soufflés. Yummy!“

“This place surprised me in the best way. The sandwich was excellent. Fresh ingredients, crisp lettuce, thick cut bacon, and a perfectly toasted bagel with a generous layer of cream cheese. Everything tasted balanced, simple, and satisfying.

The vibe is cozy and relaxed. You can tell they care about the details. The sandwich is pinned so it holds together, the plates look inviting, and the menu is creative without being fussy. Seasonal bagel sandwiches are a great idea.

The staff is super friendly too. It feels genuine, like they are happy you came in.

“Came in and was immediately greeted by friendly woman at the front. She provided great details about food items and made recommendations about food.
I felt like she took the time to ensure I was making a choice that was suited for me. She gave me recommendations for future visits as well.

I received the AUTHENTIC Chai and Mango Chicken wrap. Both were absolutely delicious and filling. The Chai was seasoned well with appropriate spices, as a South Indian, this chai earned title as an Authentic Chai.

The wrap was filled with flavour and seasonings that blended well together. It’s a big sized wrap that I split into two. She served it grilled and provided reheating instructions as well.“

“Best scone I’ve had ever. Americano with honey was fresh hot and delicious. Worker skipped the tip option which is unheard of but I asked her to add a tip. Menu includes salads as well. Wonderful friendly“

“I was in New West for a meeting, so after I was hungry. I had a choice, it was either McDonald's or across the street Jim's Cafe. I decided to give Jim's a try,and I'm sure glad I did. The atmosphere was great, service was wonderful and the food was just great!! To bad I live in North Vancouver, otherwise I would be at Jim's almost everyday. “This is my second time coming to sweet talk, the previous time I had a mini egg donut, this time I had their egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I must say they were both amazing, and the prices are very affordable! All of their products are homemade. The atmosphere was very bright, cozy and inviting. The bathrooms were very clean and nice smelling( including the hand soap). when I walked in, I was greeted by Kate who not only told me about all the products but we ended up having a full on conversation! It was very pleasant talking with her, Kate brang my food to me plus asked if I wanted anything else. This is the true meaning of customer service; these days it’s hard to find! “Recently I moved to Cloverdale and I can’t believe I didn’t find this café sooner! The coffee is absolutely AMAZING truly the best I’ve had. And the staff is just as incredible. “I really like a cafe that feels family owned, and I really appreciate the care you receive from a business like this. I was greeted so warmly, the woman running the shop made me a bubble waffle with whipped cream and a honey lemon tea, and I enjoyed both immensely. I sat at a little table and peacefully studied for an hour, and I enjoyed the ambiance. It's not a modern, Western interior. It's the same sort of vibe you would get at Happy Day Cafe. “I went in today to grab an oatmeal jammer cookie for my son but when I got there they were sold out! The Barista who helped me out was kind enough to make me a fresh batch while I worked. And it just goes to show what exceptional customer service you can always count on when you go to JJ Bean. I was so appreciative of him going out of his way to make a fresh batch cookies for me and the usual barista also told me he was able to bake some for me while she was on her break. I've never had JJ Bean before, and I came in looking for a quick snack to enjoy by the beach.

The maple pecan cookie was scrumptious.

Soft cookie with hints of smoky maple and the crunch from the pecan in every bite are stunning. I would come here for the cookie alone.

Service was quick and friendly.

Again, I liked the atmosphere because of its natural feeling.

I was working recently from September till November on yacht.

It was pleasure for me every morning enjoy fresh coffee and few minutes ago baked apple pies.

“Little Beans has been an absolute lifesaver for our family. We’ve been coming here for years and use it both as a drop-in daycare and a play cafe, and honestly, I can’t imagine a better setup for parents who work remotely.

If you have a child who’s a bit hesitant about traditional daycare, and you have the flexibility to work nearby, this place is unbeatable. The space is warm, calm, and genuinely welcoming. The coffee and food are great, and it’s incredibly easy to set up a comfortable remote work station while knowing your child is happy and well cared for just steps away.

What really sets Little Beans apart, though, is the staff. The daycare is run by an amazing group of gentle, caring young women who are clearly passionate about children. They’re fun, patient, and incredibly tuned in, meeting each child exactly where they’re at. They follow modern early childhood education best practices, but in a way that feels natural, warm, and human, not rigid or institutional.

We couldn’t be happier bringing our daughter here, and we genuinely feel lucky to have access to something this special. It’s rare to find a place that supports both kids and parents so thoughtfully. “Coffee was great. Lots of seating in and outside. They need to hire more help. There was only one girl working. And the gal that came in before me ordered about 10 coffees. The gal making the coffee did very good job just kept on working until it was done. People coming and going it was so busy. Whoever the manager is they really should think of hiring two people per shift. Because you did lose a couple of customers today they walked out after waiting too long. I was there around 11 AM.“
