“My wife and I go here 2-4 times a month. She is vegetarian and I'm the fish lover. We love our food, service, and freshness, quality overall. Plus reasonable prices. I'm always amazed at how many families eat here. The kids all seem to love their sushi.....“

“Lovely little Japanese place hidden away. Kind and friendly staff. Quick service. Clean kitchen and sesting area.
Hubby and I ordered 2 Asahi, 1 spicy salmon roll, and salmon oshi.
One negative would be the washrooms. They were clean but they looked very old. No hook to hang a jacket.“

“Good food, although a little high priced. The atmosphere is warm but the restaurant seating area is extremely restricted and very small. It was not too busy so it was not a problem. But something to be aware of. They would not be able to accommodate a large group.“

“The background music was too loud so we asked to sit outside under the covered patio. Much better. We ordered edamame, prawn tempura both excellent. I ordered the soft shell crab California roll. It was nice but nothing spectacular… I just wanted to sample the crab. The salmon sashimi and teriyaki chicken bento box looked quite appetizing. The pear dessert was ice cream shaped like a pear then dipped in chocolate.“

“The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, the prices are reasonable, and it's easy to find a parking spot. The restaurant is not very large, and the serving speed is a bit slow. The tip setting is reasonable.
Parking: Shared parking lot for businesses in the commercial area“

“Parents frequent here more than a few times per month, but mostly because they like the bit oily stir fry items on the menu.
The Korean spin on the recipes of certain sushi combos are interesting, but nowadays they come so heavily sauced to a point where I have trouble distinguishing the ingredients.
The sushi and sashimi isn't altogether too fresh, sometimes they come still with bits not thawed out. A few times my entire tray of tuna sashimi combo was served frozen.
Since 2022, you'd start to notice that the portions are alot smaller, and the cost cutting have become really visible. Especially more noticeable on takeaway items, based on more than 20 times taking out in recent years, just don't do takeout.“

“This takeout sushi place is truly impressive. Besides the visually appealing and delicate presentation, the freshness of the ingredients reflects their commitment to quality. The fish roe adds a burst of flavor and a pleasant texture, enhancing the overall tasting experience. The balance of the sweet and salty sauce is just right, making each bite irresistible. The fillings are thoughtfully chosen, from the crispy tempura and the smooth, tender eel to the creamy avocado, creating layers of flavor in every bite. The pickled ginger and wasabi as side accompaniments elevate the overall taste experience, making it even more satisfying. Even when brought home as takeout, the food still retains its deliciousness, which is one of the reasons for their high ratings. If you enjoy Japanese cuisine, this place is definitely worth a try. Don’t forget to make a reservation in advance, especially during the busy weekend hours, to avoid a long wait.“

“They were nice enough to cater to my dairy allergy. I got the Salmon Oshi, which I must say, is the best I ever had. I like uncomplicated, simple sushi. This one had 3-4 ingredients tops, rice included. The sauce on this salmon oshi was exceptional, and dairy free. The cone was a dymamite cone without sauce. Delicious, and enjoyed in many bites. Thanks ladies.“

“We love this Japanese restaurant for the high food quality, high staff quality, reasonable prices in today's market & location! Today, I tried the Nigiri Lunch and loved it! My husband had the double meat chicken teriyaki and some of mine cause it looked so tasty, and it truly was scrumptious ! We started with the Crae crae roll (shared). In my Nigiri lunch, I upgraded the salmon to sockeye, one dollar more, but worth it! The miso soup was perfect for us as we watch our sodium and they only use low sodium soya sauce! The combination of food, service & cost is why they get 5 stars! Any staff we saw were very friendly & said hello & goodbye. Customer service is top notch! Aside note, their green tea is one of the best we've enjoyed, too!“

“I had the honor of eating at this restaurant during my short stay in Ladner. I loved it so much that I went back a second time. We were well received, the person who served us, probably the owner, was beautiful, kind, funny and attentive. I literally fell in love with the restaurant's charm and atmosphere so much that I hope to keep in touch to open a franchise in Quebec!!! Thank you for the welcome, the exceptional service and the high quality of your food. I can't thank you enough that I'm almost considering moving to the area.“

“Taste of the sushi was excellent however they are quite limited on what they had available that wasn’t sold out - we arrived around 12 and a large selection of the menu was already sold out. It is a small restaurant with around 6 tables. Overall their fish seemed really fresh - the madai was excellent. The adegashi tofu along with the shrimp tempura also tasted incredible.“

“Since hubby misses Japan (the food especially) immensely, I decided to bring Japan to him for his birthday! It was more than we could've hoped for from the gracious hosts, Chef Ray and wife Christine, to the gorgeous presentation of each course, the preparations of each item, the texture, the taste and the cosy atmosphere. We savoured each bite, while enjoying the friendly banter between the hosts and a couple of their regulars at the bar seating. Highly recommend! side note: I was impressed by just how meticulous and thoughtful they are when I saw they even put a little decor under the washroom sink.“

“**UPDATE
Ordered again last night, I avoided the karaage so it wouldn't sway my opinion. The rolls (both special and regular), tempura, ebi mayo and yakitori were fresh, and delicious! My partner ordered the beef teriyaki and said it was great as well! Just don't order the karaage.
Original post:
Volcano roll was good (very good!), yakitori was ok, a bit over cooked with very little sauce. Chicken karaage was absolutely horrible. Bland, over breaded and just really gross flavour and texture. A chicken McNugget (which I hate), would have been better.“

Staff are friendly.
I love the Udon. The taste was good.
Kid's menu portion was generous when compared to my udon. 😆
The salmon sushi was great, too!
This is a Janpanese restaurant runned by, I believe, Korean.“

“I went to Tsawwassen Mills and stopped by while looking for a nearby sushi place. It was more delicious and fresh than I expected, so I had a good time! My daughter told me that she’d like to come on her birthday again! May be…I could come again even thoght it takes 50mintutes to come. 😅😊😊
I have only this picture since we were busy to eat after this…“

“first time here for AYCE lunch, I find the place very clean, and staff friendly. Food is overall very good, I like the sushi, sashimi, BC rolls, salad, chicken teriyaki, futomaki, tempura, and ice cream. The miss are sunomono too sweet lack vinegar, goma salad too salty, and that thirsty feeling from MSG (which I have no idea from which items). Yes I will go back again :)“

“The Best Sushi Spot!
Everything was exceptional, from tempura to sashimi and rolls—nothing fell short.
Dining at the large wooden table with the artwork on the walls made the experience even more enjoyable.
I especially recommend trying the Volcano Roll; it’s a must!
I think I’ll come back every time I visit Vancouver. Absolutely amazing!“
