“We visited again from Sask and did not disappoint! Amazing! Well worth the wait in line! I had the tuna on salad! And my husband had the halibut fish and chips with a side of the chowder. The chowder was his favourite. Still taking about it. The staff were also fantastic. Friendly and very efficient! For the amount of people served and the small space we were amazed at how spotless the kitchen was. Highly recommend a visit here!!“

During my visit in June 2025, I desperately wanted to try their famous salmon candy — and they *made it happen* in the most unforgettable way. Not only did they go out of their way to accommodate my request, they took it a step further with out-of-the-box thinking to make sure I got what I needed. Their passion, attention to detail, and willingness to go above and beyond turned a simple craving into a core memory. Oh — and the food? Absolutely out of this world. The salmon candy lived up to every bit of the hype and then some. Took some to Stanley Park and had a picnic with crackers and dip! Highly recommend. “Was looking for caffeine and soup and ended up with an iced Americano and congee? Never expected to see congee but given my dental procedure just prior, I decided to give it a try. Congee was amazing! Not what you’d expect from a Chinese congee and in the best way. Americano was super smooth without the over-roasted bitterness of some better known coffee brands. I was on the island for a visit and will be back at my next opportunity.“

“Really enjoyed our visit to the brewery on our trip to Victoria. Good selection of beers from lagers to IPA. The raspberry wheat ale had juicy raspberry flavour. They printed the beers in the flight as part of the order which was quite cool.“

Although I didn't find the menu of food particularly appealing, your needs are probably different than mine, so have at it. The people working there were friendly and knew about their beers. Definitely stop in. If I find myself there again, I'll be trying the gin and whiskey.“

“Had a lovely time from the moment we entered. The hostess (June 20, 2025 around 530pm) on duty was friendly and welcoming. We were led to our table, a tall and decidedly we'd prefer a table instead. There was a lovely spot next to a fireplace; which would be perfect on a winters's day'. It was a great location! Freda, our server was excellent, pleasant, happy and helpful! She answered our questions. Food arrived and it was plentiful. Our order was the Bangers ‘n Mash (hubby) and the Butter Chicken (me). Delicious!! Huge portions!! All in all a super nice experience!!!“

“Tried a pilot mango wheat here, and it was delicious and refreshing, and very smooth with a strong mango flavor. Definitely needs to become part of the permanent summer lineup. I have had other mango wheat beers from different breweries and this was by far the best one. Clearly the brewer knew what they were doing with this one. The rest of the beer is very good too!“

“We ordered pizza here last night. First surprise it was 2 for1. Second surprise was how delicious it was. The crust was excellent and the toppings were plentiful. It was the best pizza we have had in a long time. Pricing was very reasonable. We will be ordering from them again.

Pro tip: Sit outside among the array of flowers, even if there's a wait. Do it and soak in the city.“

“We were looking for a contemporary restaurant that served seafood dishes that matched our tastes. We chose Fire + Water because of the dishes offered. We were so happy about this choice as our food was so good and fulfilled our cravings for fresh seafood since we are from the Prairies. For our appetizer we ordered calamari which was on happy hour special. They were not oily and did not have too much breading. My boyfriend ordered the salmon and scallops which was delicious and cooked perfectly. I ordered the Fire and Water seafood salad and it had prawns, candied salmon and smoked salmon. It was a huge portion of salad with lots of protein. I will dream of that salad forever. 😍 Our server was super nice and the food came out quickly. Next time we are visiting Victoria, we would totally come again.“
