“We visited again from Sask and did not disappoint! Amazing! Well worth the wait in line! I had the tuna on salad! And my husband had the halibut fish and chips with a side of the chowder. The chowder was his favourite. Still taking about it. The staff were also fantastic. Friendly and very efficient! For the amount of people served and the small space we were amazed at how spotless the kitchen was. Highly recommend a visit here!!“

“These people brought free sandwiches to the striking postal workers. The sandwiches were really good and we wanted to patronize them so we went for a Saturday brunch and had the Chorizo skillet. Delicious. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommended.“

“Was looking for caffeine and soup and ended up with an iced Americano and congee? Never expected to see congee but given my dental procedure just prior, I decided to give it a try. Congee was amazing! Not what you’d expect from a Chinese congee and in the best way. Americano was super smooth without the over-roasted bitterness of some better known coffee brands. I was on the island for a visit and will be back at my next opportunity.“

“Really comfortable brewery/distillery to stop in and grab a pint and a bite. The beer selections i had was delicious and refreshing. Although I didn't find the menu of food particularly appealing, your needs are probably different than mine, so have at it. The people working there were friendly and knew about their beers. Definitely stop in. If I find myself there again, I'll be trying the gin and whiskey.“

As we were enjoying the good tasting beer, my husband dropped and lost his wedding band under the terrasse floor. As we’re looking for it, the staff came, they removed a long wooden piece of the floor so we can look for it, and they found it!!! We are blessed to have met those nice people! “Lovely dining experience! We came from the Blackball Ferry and spotted the outdoor seating area while strolling downtown. We came at an off time between lunch / dinner and didn’t need to wait.

Our server was sweet and checked in on us every so often.

My husband and I shared a dozen oysters, the Bard salad, and the spiced honey fried chicken sandwich - all of which were excellent! We enjoyed the drinks as well. The bar inside the main restaurant looked phenomenal and made us want to make a return visit in the future.“

“Tried a pilot mango wheat here, and it was delicious and refreshing, and very smooth with a strong mango flavor. Definitely needs to become part of the permanent summer lineup. I have had other mango wheat beers from different breweries and this was by far the best one. Clearly the brewer knew what they were doing with this one. The rest of the beer is very good too!“

“We had a great lunch here in Boomtown’s lovely garden area. The day was gorgeous, food was delicious and we were thrilled that they had so many gluten free options for my wife to choose from. They even have a dedicated fryer! The totchos are fantastic as is the charred corn salad but do not miss the GF donuts! They were freshly prepared and covered with a decedent salted caramel sauce. Outrageously good! The service was excellent and we will definitely be making Boomtown a regular stop for us.“

“We ordered pizza here last night. First surprise it was 2 for1. Second surprise was how delicious it was. The crust was excellent and the toppings were plentiful. It was the best pizza we have had in a long time. Pricing was very reasonable. We will be ordering from them again.
