“Cactus Club’s are pretty generic but this location has a different vibe. All the servers are very attentive and really care about the customers experience. I can see where the culture of this particular restaurant comes from when I met the manager, I think his name is Jack. He was engaging and really cared about the products and service. He knew a lot of details about the desserts and the ingredients which shows he was also knowledgeable about the products he selling. Highly recommend!“

“Amazing experience, I tried their new cocktail menu they have feautured and it was lovely and they have a great selection of BC wines on as well! They have also have a wide selection of dishes on their menu, I tried the California spring salad, Koreans short ribs, sweet chili bites, blackened chicken tagliarini and they were delicious. “I ordered the lemon grass noodle salad with chicken & minus the serrano peppers. It was still a bit too spicy for me, maybe because of the thai basil? In general it is a good salad, the chicken was really good a d i'd order again but ask all hot spice ingredients be removed. Family member ordered the Green goddess salad with chicken,minus feta & tomatoes and they were enjoyed their salad.“

“The hostesses at the front are vibrant and charming. They offer a complimentary glass of champagne to sip while you’re waiting. If you don’t imbibe, they will accommodate your soft drink request. We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.“

“We recently celebrated my husbands 40th birthday with an amazing dinner at Nightingale! There were 12 of us and had a family style dinner, which every plate that came out was amazing. I wish I lived in Vancouver because I would frequent Nightingale weekly. Service was prompt and they were consistently keeping the drinks flowing.“

Nothing on a plate that didn't serve a purpose in making the dish the best it could be. I will stare longingly out a window reminiscing on Chicken of the Sea and Cool Hand Cuke. Ignore the neighbourhood grit, you will be transported as soon as you cross the threshold. Do yourself a favour, book it and go. We were so eager to tuck in, I had to borrow two photos from the restaurant's instagram.“

“Went for Easter Monday lunch. Food was awesome, I had the roasted turkey sandwich and my friend had the Cajun chicken sandwich (she was able to get it dairy free). Both were really tasty and great portions for the price. Workers were also very kind. Good seating options and bathrooms. Def would come back :)“

“We went to Cactus Club Cafe for dinner and had a really good time. I ordered the butternut squash and mascarpone ravioli with prawns and it was delicious, super creamy and flavorful. We also had the blackened creole chicken which was juicy with a nice bit of spice. To drink we had non alcoholic margaritas which were tasty and refreshing.

Our server was great and very friendly which made the whole experience even better. We got a table on the patio and it was perfect, nice vibe with good music and a relaxed atmosphere.

If you go I would recommend the ravioli for something rich and the creole chicken if you want more spice. The patio is definitely worth asking for and the non alcoholic margarita was a nice option too. Overall a really enjoyable dinner.“

“We took our two grandsons' for dinner and it was not DQ or Mickey Ds'. There experience was fantastic as they both said to us the best chicken strips they had and as you are aware, kids are chicken strip experts. When we arrived there were crayons, colouring sheets and toys to entertain them. This is all thanks to Kayla as she made sure we had a positive experience as we did. Like always she looked after us.“

Also, use the front door entrance of the club, it also leads to the restaurant, don’t need to go around for the stairs entrance.“

“We just had the most welcoming experience at Browns Socialhouse in Lower Lonsdale! The Widowmaker beer, the burgers, and all the flavors were amazing. Our server, Abby, was absolutely wonderful and made us feel right at home.
