“Its been 13 years since Nando’s birds eye chili infused peri-creations graced the crystal blue shores of West Vancouver. From humble beginnings on Park Royal’s akward and slightly spooky Northwest side, this under the radar but beloved location was the model of consistency and impeccable service with a smile. The Rotisseries were spinning seemingly 24/7 and their Chef had the type of handle on his marinade few culinary personnel could ever hope to achieve. Then came the relocation. To most pundits, the move to the South East end of the mall was a home run in the making. More foot traffic, and easier access for West Van Dads popping into Tommy Bahama to catch the latest breezy wailea approved styles. The grand reopening however was a harbinger of what would become a rocky few years for the spicy red rooster. Uneven saucing, stale breads, and an unreliable fountain pop dispenser. But in true thoroughbred fashion however, The last several months have proved to be a stunning return to form. Perhaps churning out the finest birds of his career, Chef has regained his impeccable burner awareness, and the addition of perinaise and fresh baby arugula on artisan ciabatta has added the gourmet flair we never knew we needed. This proverbial Stella, has most certainly got her groove back. Seriously Commendable.“

“Honestly… what is there to say?
Bourbon chicken? Sweet, sticky, and smoky.
Cajun butter chicken? Spicy, rich, that melt in your mouth vibe.
Pepper beef? Tender with that sharp, punchy kick.
The meat is tender, the portions are enooooormous, and after our second visit, we can confidently say this spot is creeping its way onto our favorites list. Definitely one to revisit (or officially mark as loved).“

“We went here and brought the original and garlic soy chicken to bring to the Kits beach. The lady who took our order was accommodating. Our order was prepared so fast even if there were a lot of guests at that time. I tried a number Korean chicken in Vancouver but CM’s chicken is the best!!! It’s favorful and freshly cooked. We haven’t eaten it right away after ordering but it was still crispy! 10/5 ♥“

The chicken was cooked to perfection, with a crunchy exterior and a juicy, flavorful interior. The combination of spicy, sweet, and umami flavors left me craving more. Although the portion size was modest, it was sufficient, and I look forward to indulging in a larger portion on my next visit. While the atmosphere, typical of a fast-food takeout establishment, left something to be desired, the premises were clean and well-maintained.“

“We tried Nando's our first night in vancouver after checking in to our hotel downtown. Absolutely incredible. Inessa was so welcoming, kind, and accommodating. I ordered the the thighs and two sides, and ordered the spicy level hot. The PERi mac and Brussels were soooo good!! The chicken was even better.

I LOVE spice, and I thought the flavor of the hot was incredible, but i asked Inessa if I could try the extra hot, because I wanted just a little more!!! She was really looking out for me by warning me that it was quite a bit spicier than hot - she was absolutely right, and I loved it!!! Thank you so much for the awesome experience!

A bottle of the extra hot PERi-PERi sauce was officially my first souvenir on our vacation.

Plenty of Korean fried chicken brands have opened up across Vancouver, and I’ve tried almost all of them, but this place is by far the best.

“While walking along Robson Street during the holidays, I stopped for lunch at Chicko Chicken. I ordered the Chicko meal with boneless chicken, fries, and a drink. Everything is prepared fresh, so there is a short wait, but it’s worth it. The chicken was juicy inside and crispy outside, and the fries were hot and crisp. Jiyhe provided attentive, welcoming service.“

“Got a half-and-half chicken for takeout for a picnic! It was ready just 10 minutes after ordering. We chose the original and soy garlic boneless options. The original was juicy and quite good, while the soy garlic also had good flavor, though the surface was a bit overly sticky—almost like candy. The half-and-half was just about enough for two people, and overall, I enjoyed the takeout experience here. Not sure if I’d dine in though—the space looked a bit cramped.“

“Unfortunately, the customer service has been consistently disappointing. The lady at the cashier is never friendly to my husband and me. During our last visit, I noticed she was very nice to the customer in front of us, but when it was our turn, she was rude again. I'm not sure if this is only toward non-Asian customers, but it has happened to us repeatedly.

That said, the food is excellent. We always order the fried chicken from here, and it has been amazing every single time. The quality and taste are consistently great, which is the only reason we've kept coming back.

“Visited after an appointment. Ordered 10 pieces chicken, a deluxe chicken sandwich and family size pasta. The chicken was fantastic, super crunchy and some were mild spicy. Deluxe chicken sandwich was crispy, lettuce and tomato were fresh. The family size pasta was only ok and kinda small. It definitely would not feed 3-5ppl.
