“We started off Remembrance Day 2025 at our favourite brunch spot, IHOP in South Surrey. We reached around 10:30 a.m. and had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, which was totally understandable since it was a stat holiday. Once seated, we began with some tea and coffee, and the service was friendly and quick.
The Tres Leches Pancakes were absolutely mind-blowing. Soft, sweet, and so satisfying.
We also tried the Country Fried Steak, which came smothered in sauce with buttered broccoli and two fluffy buttermilk pancakes on the side.
The Crispy Chicken Sandwich and Classic Chicken Sandwich with avocado and bacon were both excellent, crispy, juicy, and full of flavour.
The Jalapeño Kick Steak Burger was another hit with its spicy mix of sautéed jalapeños, serrano peppers, onions, and crispy bacon.
Overall, it was the perfect way to start the day. Great food, warm service, and the cozy IHOP atmosphere we always enjoy.“

“My wife and I don't often go out to eat because we are pretty frugal and she is an excellent chef anyway. We're often disappointed by dishes or prices or both. However the food at Great Blue Heron Grill was absolutely delicious, the staff was just the right level of attentive, and the atmosphere was just what we were looking for on our night out. And the prices were quite reasonable!“

“Always good, I pretty consistently get food doordashed to me from this specific Denny's. Arrives nice and warm, never burnt or underdone, always as I ordered. Consistent in their quality which is a big plus, some restaurants are fantastic one moment and then suddenly it's like the cook had a terrible terrible morning. Not here though.
Today I just got a build my own slam. Eggs perfect, sausages juicy, turkey bacon nicely cooked, potatoes are cheesy.
I love the berry stuffed french toast and country fried steaks. I get those from time to time, I'd highly recommend the berry French toast.“

“We came back to Earls the past weekend and had an absolutely incredible experience! Charlotte was our server and she was phenomenal—attentive, warm, and truly on point the entire night The food was amazing, the drinks were perfect, and the service blew us away.
Huge shoutout to the management as well—they clearly run a tight, welcoming, and well-organized team. You can feel the positive energy from the moment you walk in.

I just tried the new Grilled Chicken Bowl at Denny’s, and it honestly exceeded my expectations. The chicken was perfectly grilled—juicy, tender, and seasoned just right. The veggies tasted fresh and added a great crunch, and the whole bowl came together with a balanced mix of flavors that felt both satisfying and light.
Portion size was generous without being overwhelming, and it’s exactly the kind of meal you can enjoy without feeling weighed down afterward. For something new on the menu, Denny’s really nailed this one. I’d definitely order it again!“

“Ordered catering trays for a celebration and it was our first time trying Ken’s Cafe. We will only be ordering from Ken’s from now on for our family events!
Food tasted fresh, perfectly seasoned, and healthy - even the fried wontons and squid were light and crispy without being greasy. Everyone at our party commented on how good the food was - even my hard-to-please parents and picky children loved the food. We had plenty of leftovers and were excited to eat it again the next day.
Service was great from start to finish. We ordered on the phone a couples weeks before our event, I was able to conveniently pay by phone. We also got a phone call 1-hour before pickup confirming our order, which was very helpful! At pickup, the owners helped us load the food and even gave our kids free handmade chocolates to enjoy.
Highly recommended for large orders. Thanks a lot. 🙌“

“Oh the food was amazing. Service was delightful and very professionally respectful and the atmosphere was just chill. I mean it was 11:00 in the morning so it can't be too pumped, but it's right there by the beach. It's an awesome environment. I hear they have good alcoholic drinks. She enjoyed her bloody Mary or Caesar. Whatever it was, I would very much recommend this for anything small date or romantic evening on a budget and you're downtown Birch Bay. You will not be disappointed“

“Celebrated our 11th anniversary with dinner and drinks at The Vault. It was a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly, so courteous and attentive. We had the watermelon feta salad, black cod and mushroom pasta. The watermelon feta was really good. The mushrooms in the two mains were a little overpowering with their char but beyond that the entrees were so delicious. The drinks were on point and just plain heaven in glass. We will absolutely be coming back again.“

the summer weekends! The drink prices have gotten way to expensive. A whiskey drink is $20, It's not Vegas it's birch bay!“

“We've been coming to this IHOP for years now. We used to come with our mom and since she passed away it's a place for my sister and I to go for good memories. The ladies have always been wonderful and make our visit fun. We've never gone to another restaurant that has made us feel this way! You all deserve the highest rating for all you do...and let's not forget the great food!“

“It was my daughters 19th bday party on Saturday Oct 1 st / 22 and we had over 65 people! We reserved the top area. We had so much fun. It was amazing. The service was amazing. The waitresses were so good. Thank you so much ladies!! We would recommend to our friends and family. 😊“

“Overall, a very good place. I have been to other OJ's before and quite like them. The service and food were both great. The only bad thing was the place was loaded with flies! They were constantly buzzing around and landing on us or the table.
Update: Went back and there was not a fly to be seen! Lunch was excellent as always.“

“Today I came in Denny’s and our experience was so fantastic as usual. Our server Vanshika was so nice with us always. Her service is so good and very professional. “Typically I do not leave reviews, however I thought I would for this occasion. I never really caught on the name of my waitress, however she had a slim build, blonde hair, caucasian descent and may I add smile on her face at all times! I come here almost every Sunday mornings, and she was my waitress for the first time as I typically get served by a different one and boy did she not disappoint. The small acts of asking if I like hot sauce or a dip with my meal and even recommending her favourites was something my previous server did not do. She was very attentive, checked up on us and coffee was filled! I absolutely loved her character; cheery and bubbly. Would absolutely recommend!!!“

“My wife and I had breakfast recently. Absolutely terrific! Had 2 poached eggs,sausages, fried potatoes, toast and endless coffee. The fried potatoes were the best - not the little frozen McCains fried jobbies. My previous regular breakfast haunt, under new management, made the classic new owners mistake of changing the offering - namely the fried potatoes - game changer.“
