“I’ve worked in the Thousand Oaks area for over 20 years and have gone to many different restaurants during those years. This one stands out as one of the very best in terms of service, freshness of menu selections, ability to have a conversation without overwhelming loud music and noise, and ambience. The menu selection is varied so there’s something for everyone. Boroka and Jorge have created something truly special with their gem of a restaurant. I rate it as my favorite.“

“This place is around the corner from me but if I lived on the other side of town it would still be my go to spot! Great food. Healthy & fresh. Prices are surprisingly low. Food comes out quik & they are always happy to see you. Also lots of coffee, tea, smoothies & juices & stuff to pick from.“

“Favorites from the menu=======ARTICHOKE SALAD: bold citrus flavor, our favorite item we triedNEW STYLE SASHIMI: got the salmon, extraordinarily fresh, deliciousHAZELNUT COOKIE dessert: 6 mini ice-cream sandwiches, strong caramel flavor, melts fastKUROZATO dessert: 3 exquisite vanilla puff pastriesThings we tried but were meh=======CRISPY RICE WITH SPICY TUNA: standard, bite sized, Shibuya does it betterTAI SWEET SHISO WITH CRISPY SHIITAKE: this is a sashimi dish with red snapper; it is a bit more "herby" than than the new-style sashimi; pretty goodSEARED TORO WITH TRUFFLE TERIYAKI (2 PC MIN): standard, I like the seared toro at Kushiyu and Shibuya betterBLACK COD WITH MISO: legit tastes like fish sticks, but melts in your mouthKING CRAB TEMPURA AMAZU: we subbed cod, and it again tasted like fish sticksCRISPY OKRA WITH GARLIC PONZU: garlic flavor was weak, overall pretty standardYELLOWTAIL JALAPENO cut roll: nothing special, the sashimi version probably would have been better; the cut rolls here remind me of sugarfishOoo Mami cocktail: okay, but not that tastyOther thoughts=======The ambiance is stellar. The staff is very professional yet personable--not too formal. They are exceptionally careful about allergies.Overall, fish is top quality but it’s not the best tasting sushi I’ve had in LA. Then again, you don’t just come here for the sushi. Total for above: $200 per person.“

“The Conejo Valley is limited when it comes to fine dining. If you've been looking for a higher end dining experience, a place to celebrate a special occasion, or a romantic date spot, this restaurant won't disappoint. I don't want to give away spoilers, but this place is an experience where details and quality are exceptional.“

“Pretty decent portioning for the price point. There isn't a lot of super comfortable sitting space, so I tend to pick up my food and bring it home. They recently got rid of their pre-built bowls for unknown reasons. I love their sweet salmon, and I really appreciate that mango has always been available. Make sure to ask for MILK tea if you want boba...I've made the mistake of buying regular tea with pearls.“

“This place is so legit. All of our dishes were out of this world yum. We had crispy tuna cut roll, spam musubi, chicken pho, chicken larb, and the Mongolian beef noodles. You have to come and try this place. We're definitely coming back.“
“Food was a little bit disappointing. My lomo saltado had barely any sauce, and the rib eye was dry and chewy. The garlic wings on fried rice were good as separate elements, but they didn't have much cohesion as a unified dish. $24 for a meal is steep, even in today's economy; I expect more than dry, chewy meat for that price. The server was very nice, but the owner seemed put out that we wanted to just pick up food and eat outside (what can I say, I came here because yelp told me it was dog-friendly). EDIT: To clarify, I didn't expect to eat indoors with the dog, just mentioning that they seemed nonplussed when I asked to eat outdoors because we had brought a dog. I'm giving 4 stars because their lychee lemonade was the best I've ever had. Sure it was in a small cup filled with a ton of ice, but it was amazing. If I come back, I may not eat there, but I would definitely stop by to grab a lychee lemonade. Hopefully that doesn't upset the owner too much.“

“What a wonderful little restaraunt. The star of the show is the quality food. It's definitely Fusion, it's not 100% authentic Thai but that's what makes it great. This is a regular once a month visit for me. My favorite menu item by far is the Garlic Filet and Green beans but all the Filet menu items are delicious. Their red curry dishes are also quite wonderful. Everything tastes fresh, is cooked to order. Some menu items are priced reasonably, others are a bit high but I've never left unhappy with the food.It is a small restaurant, usually quiet, service is like a family restaurant, They are polite, fast, and attenuative. If you're looking at the location and wondering if you should try it, definitely give it a shot. The only real negative about the place is the shared parking lot is really tight, often busy. I've always found a spot, but it is close quarters driving.Vegetarian options: They have many veggie only dishes and they'll make any meat based dish without the meat.“

“I was at a brunch for a political organization. The buffet they offered was outstanding and delicious. After our meeting was over, I noticed the place was jumping with lots of locals coming in for lunch. The view of the lake is breathtaking, and it was just an overall terrific experience.“

“I was here for a private event which the owners were kind enough to open for a friends private birthday party. We got to enjoy their very interesting mix of different foods and they were all amazingly good. I don't throw out the 5's too often but the ribs and lamb lollipops were a big surprise and tasty our group devoured them. The sushi and rolls were fresh and very good and the mexican shrimp tacos were very good Overall great friendly owners who appear to be like family in the neighborhood.“

“It looks like this is a new place now... the outside name still says Thousand Wok but the menu is completely different... it says Ling Long it has no lunch specials and is pretty high up in price. I was looking forward to some pho but that does not exist here. Too bad The food was very good though“
“We tried lots of different dishes and all were excellent! Rice chicharron, chicken karaage, vegetable gyoza, were great starters. All of the nigiri was fresh and delicious. We also had the sakura and chokoreeto desserts with peppermint tea and they were both fantastic as well!“
“The restaurant is always so clean and the patio area is beautiful. Can't expect anything less from Calabasas. The food is always made fresh to order and the staff is always so kind. They know who I am once I walk into the store and have my order ready for me to pick up. Great Service!“

“The true star of Sushi Nishi is, of course, the food. The sushi here is a work of art. The fish was incredibly fresh and the rice was perfectly seasoned, striking a harmonious balance that showcased the chef's expertise. Each piece of sushi melted in my mouth, leaving me craving for more. The menu also offered a variety of traditional and innovative rolls, which catered to both sushi purists and those looking for a unique twist on classic flavors.I also had the opportunity to try the sashimi, which was as equally outstanding as the sushi. The slices of raw fish were expertly cut and the presentation was simply exquisite. Additionally, the miso soup and seaweed salad were flavorful complements to the main course.“

“Sushi is ok. Since Covid, it's a different quality. Was there for in-person dining today and they added a 15% service charge on the bill. When I inquired about what it was for the waitress said, "it's your tip for us". I was like, "last I knew I decided in the tip for you". Saw a sign on way out referencing 10% but they added 15. I don't mind tipping for great service...Ever but I expectto get it. Diners beware.“

“Located in a nondescript shopping center of Agoura Hills, CA (Hwy 101 & Kanan Rd), is a Chinese restaurant: Mandarin Lotus. They've been here since 1988! The food was delightful, the owners were welcoming, and we are already looking forward to our next visit! Dinner hours only. First visit? This is what our party of two tried and we didn't leave a morsel behind: -Mango Tango Rolls -Kelsey Grammer's Orange Chicken -Vegetable Fried Rice -Red Bean Sesame Balls (dessert) The plating of each dish was thoughtful and lovely. The combination of fresh ingredients, sweet & savory flavors, and non-greasy entrees, piqued our tastebuds and had our appetites yearning to try more. For our next visit, we have our eyes set on ordering a tofu dish, wonton soup, and the spicy tequila shrimp. I would consider this a gourmet Chinese fusion restaurant which should appeal to a diverse set of tastebuds. The menu is pretty extensive, which also includes a full page of vegan options and unique spice combinations we are not familiar with, but open to try. The average price per entree is ~$25. Customer service was wonderful! Thank you to the most welcoming host and owner, Kim, and to Chef Chang, for the delightful dinner!“
