“I love Atost’s aperitifs and I love their customer service. Every holiday season I buy some bottles for coworkers and friends. They are always a hit. This season I purchased 5 bottles but unfortunately FedEx messed up my delivery. Emily, Atost’s event manager, and Kyle, Atost’s founder, were so quick to respond to my email and resolve the shipping/delivery issue. The company goes above and beyond with both their products and their service. I will continue to be a regular Atost customer.“

“Food and service are both top shelf. Ahistorical peppers are a great starter. Branzino was also perfect and was served with delightful complement of sides. Convenient location with plenty of parking. Great for nice, casual dinner or business meal.“

“We came from out of town and had a wonderful time here. We ordered the half dozen oysters, the sea bass, the hamachi crudo, shrimp cocktail and the rockfish. Everything was delicious. We especially enjoyed our server Mario. Mario is so talented, he should be training all the service staff.“

What impressed us most was the restraint and precision—every element served a purpose, creating dishes that were both sophisticated and approachable.
The pacing was flawless. As we savored the final bite of each course, we could hear the gentle sizzle from the kitchen as our next dish began its journey to the table. Every plate arrived at the perfect temperature, seasoned with remarkable finesse. Nothing competed for attention; instead, each flavor complemented the others in beautiful harmony.
Having dined at numerous Michelin-starred establishments, we were genuinely surprised this gem isn’t booked solid every evening. The quality rivals the finest restaurants we’ve experienced, yet maintains an intimate, unpretentious atmosphere that makes the experience feel personal and special.
After reading the glowing reviews that led us here, we arrived with high expectations—and CharcoalNiku exceeded every one of them. This is precisely the kind of restaurant that deserves community support and recognition.

“Went to this place for a late business lunch. I was surprised at how cool the vibe was. I thought the waitress was very friendly and accommodating. I really like the Lobster Roll and Caesar salad.
It was also nice that they don’t close and shoo you out, as my meeting ran a little long and the staff was very friendly about it.“

“This place is ten minutes from my house but the Angeleno along us is the one who found it and invited us there! Nice outdoor seating if you don’t want to be indoors; the cute menu includes vegetarian options and nice cocktails (though not poured deep); we lived our options. I got the impossible taco salad (Impossible crumbles replaced regular hamburger taco meat); my son had a Pepperoni flatbread; he pointed out to us that (per the menu)a dollar from every sale of that pizza goes to children’s charities. Gotta like a place that gives back! 💙 The Reuben was phenomenal. The wait staff was pleasant, courteous, and cheerful. We will be back!“

“The crispy tacos are great. So is the carnitas. It is super quiet at lunch during the week, but busy on Sunday. The bar is a nice place to watch sports and eat, as well. I will say some days the beans seem homemade, but others like they came from a can. I really enjoy the place, though. Great iced tea“

“Sitting outside is nice. Drinks are good. Beer is good. The food is good but not great. The portion size has decreased especially on the happy hour menu which is usually shared. When its slow service is good. When its busier service is very slow and hard to get the servers attention because they do not have enough servers on. They think they are saving money this way, but people end up leaving or not coming back because of the slow service.“

“Located inside of Nordstrom at The Oaks Mall (on the 2nd floor), this restaurant is a nice little hideaway from all typical dining choices available when I work in TO. It's familar, and also nice, but not pretentious. The food and drinks are consistently good and on par with the other locations, and the service is great ( service may be even better than some other locations). “I was very impressed by the friendliness and service with Ollo for a recent catering delivery. I called around to several places and with very slow response times and abruptness directing me back to the website for Uber delivery. The host and manager Spencer followed up on the order and went out of the way to make sure it was a great experience for the group and the stressed out person (me:) trying to coordinate for the group. Highly recommend!!“

“I absolutely loved my experience at this Mexican restaurant! The food was bursting with authentic flavor, and the service was so friendly and attentive. What really made it special was the vibrant atmosphere – the black lights gave such a cool, almost otherworldly glow to the incredible calavera artwork throughout the space. It was festive, unique, and added such a fun energy to the whole dining experience. Definitely a must-visit!“

“My daughter and I shared a lovely dinner here during a weekend away. We loved the Le Bowl and the Vegan Falafel Bowl and shared a delicious Beef Carpaccio before our meal. Our server was so kind, offered great wine recommendations for me and a virgin Mojito for my daughter. We will definitely be back.“

“Beach side restaurant with a great view. You can choose to sit inside away from windy and heat. Or get seating outside and dip your toes in sand while you eat. You can watch surfer and enjoy a meal by the ocean.
Be warned to walk slowly inside the restaurant as the floor is sandy.
Food is a bit pricy. A glass of orange juice for $7.95.“

“The location is very pretty. Little water fountain outside the doors. 10/10 ambiance. I was so surprised at how affordable the food was for the area. Most dishes were around 20-30. Not bad per person. Sides were around 12-20. Highly recommend the Tablita. Piece of carne asada on top of a nopal with cheese on it. Delicious and filling. We also tried the cordero. Pretty close in flavor to birria but definitely preferred the Tablita.“
