“It's one of my favorite places! My Hubby's too! We've been going for years. This time, my Double Bacon Cheeseburger was a little dry. By that, I mean the patties. It was also a bit hard to eat the next day. The bottom bun kept sliding off, as well as the lettuce, tomato, and onion. But still DELICIOUS.
I also got a Mocha Milkshake. Wow! Maybe the best shake I've ever had.
Plus, I got the fried mushrooms, which were quite good as always. You MUST try this place!“

“After walking the ever so steep San Francisco Hills in this area on the way to China Town, I stumbled upon a quaint little food shop with a tiny little woman by the name of Jasmin.

Entering you are greeted so warmly and kindly.

Her restaurant is not so big. The menu is big and obvious with all the ingredients posted. She serves beer and the theme of the place is very nice.

After taking the order, she quickly hopped over to her cooking area and whipped out the order as quickly and efficiently as it could be. When I got there, a few people trailed right after me and she served them just as well she had her system down.

“It was a drive thru, so take the atmosphere rating w a grain of salt. As a vegetarian, I don't come here often, but I drive through the tunnel several times a day and there is only so long one can resist the scrumptious smell of fried onions and all of the animal style goodness.
So, I joined the long line and grabbed a grilled cheese animal style, along with some fries and a drink.
The guy taking my order was patient, friendly, and thorough. The person taking my money was cheerful and smiling. The person giving me the food double checked to make sure I was being given the correct order and was friendly and kind.
The grilled cheese and all of the toppings is hit the spot. The fries were on the salty side, and the drink had the perfect balance of beverage and ice.
If you eat meat, your experience will likely be better, since there are so many additional options.
Go on the earlier side or risk getting in line directly out of the tunnel (stay in the farthest right lane).

“My Prized Pearl burger was cooked to perfection but was disappointed with the lack of flavor of the burger. Not seasoned whatsoever which left me tasting the overbearing blue cheese. The garlic fries were good and my peanut butter milkshake was delicious. Presentation was good and the service was great but lacks the space for seating comfortably.“

“We come here fairly often and really enjoy the food (steak frites, burger, burrata and salads are amazing) and cocktails. Unfortunately every time the thing we lament is the wine selection - neither of us have ever had a wine here we enjoyed, and we’re fairly easy to please with middle of the road options. The dessert menu always seems to focus on a lot of tarts, which isn’t our jam so we never have tried dessert despite many trips here. If they updated their wine menu this place would easily be five stars and my favorite restaurant on the island.“

“So amazing! This place always brings back my great memory. When I came first time to Oakland 25 years ago, this place was my first time to have a real hamburger in my life. And after many years, the taste never changes. Actually better every time I come again. I love this place so much!“

“Last Saturday we ordered a lot of food from the melt. The whole crew was working overtime and we all ordered multiple items and the crew absolutely killed it. Lady working the cashier was absolutely amazing. Sweetest lady ever. The cooks were amazing and they have a very good crew working. “Always so conflicted when I like something this much and it's in the Marina. This place was terrific and the true measure of its value was in the taste of my burger. After much deliberation, I went with the Heritage Bison burger with applewood smoked bacon, fontina cheese, and caramelized onions. It was superb. The bison always has such amazing flavor, rich but not greasy or fatty, just mouth-watering goodness with each bite.

Just go and have it. Now. It's really, really good.

“I have heard about this restaurant from friends so I went to try it, it is a sit-eat-and-go place I have tried the Persian burger and it taste good it looks like a kafta kabab taste. As a Lebanese and food lover I was impressed with the hummus the taste was good but the Tabboule didn’t meet my expectations because you shouldn’t have cucumber and lettuce as also it needs more lemon juice.
It was a nice experience, and I would go again if got the chance.“

“Whiz always has the most friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. They offer alternatives if they are out of something and recommendations based on what other people get. For example, a Sprite float with Mitchell's mango ice cream is a game changer! Their food is tasty, greasy (in the way you expect a good burger to be, not overly), and well seasoned. I highly recommend getting their ranch as well to pair with your fries or burger. Overall, when I want a burger or some comfort food, Whiz is high on my list!
