“Stopped in on Christmas Eve and had amazing burgers, fried mushrooms, and some great shakes (the mocha was something else). While we wish the mushrooms had been been a larger order, the large fries were definitely large and worth it. It's a classic burger joint, sharing a parking lot with the tire center. When we were there, a flock of turkeys walked past. Friendly crew and we love supporting small businesses like this. We will definitely stop there again. Highly recommended.“

“I had the grill chicken and Cajun fries. I really liked them. Sandwich was Juicy and very flavorful. Since I don't eat beef or pork this was a great option at a burger joint. My daughter had the onion rings and wings and she like them both. The wife had the Spanish beef burger and she loved the flavor and spice. Son had the smash burger, he always eats burgers when we go out. We call him burger boy because he eats them so much. He said it was average. He said Johnny boy smash burger was a bit better. He had that the day before. The girls love that there was boba. I loved that there was beer on tap! I was going to say there's nothing negative to say about this place. But then I thought about it for a second. They charged us $1 for some ranch. Even though we ordered chicken wings, onion rings, garlic fries, french fries, cajun fries. “Mo's serve one of the best burger experience I've had in a long time. The moment I took my first bite, it was clear that they take real pride in their craft. The patty was incredibly juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked perfect medium rate. The bun was soft and well toasted, enough to hold everything together, and the toppings were fresh, crisp, and thoughtfully layered so each bite had the perfect balance of flavor and texture.

I order their volcano burger and it has this great sauce that added a rich, tangy finish to the entire burger. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making it a great spot for a casual meal with friends or a quick bite on the go and the staff were also friendly and quick to offer great recommendations. “Quality and large burgers packed with flavor. I’ve never tried a halal burger but it was delicious. Burgers were grilled fresh and fries were fried fresh and crispy. Well priced burgers with good portion size. I got the 3 M’ini burgers with fries pack ($17) which allows you to try many of their different burger styles.

Shroom burger: packed with juicy and flavorful mushrooms, mozzarella cheese, sweet grilled onions, and a large halal beef patty.

Fries: their spicy garlic sauce is one of the best sauces I’ve ever tasted in my life. A strong garlic flavor with a sweet sauce with a lingering spice after eating it, the sauce complements the fries extremely well.

Service: I have to give a shoutout to the cashier that allowed me to try the spicy garlic sauce for free. She wasn’t supposed to give it to me when I asked because it’s an extra charge but out of the kindness of her heart she let me try it because I mentioned it was my first time at the restaurant. I have been craving a really good burger for a while. My standard places (Five Guys or Habit) just haven’t been doing it for me. I was in the Berkeley/Albany area and decided this would be a good time to try a different burger place. Oh G Burger x Chimmelier was the best rated burger place in the area that I was in. It was also the most out of the way. But I never been to that area so I decided to go for an adventure. I am very happy that I did! 😃
I ordered the standard double smash burger with Oh G sauce and tater tots. The burger was thoroughly greasy in the best way possible! A hamburger is not health food. A good hamburger should be 20% fat and thus greasy. This is an outstanding hamburger! And I’m so glad that other reviews mentioned the tater tots. They were fluffy, crunchy pillows of potato delight. 🥹 I had forgotten how wonderful a tater tot can be!
And the burger and tater tots together were just over $18 before tip. That’s right in line with what I pay at the other places I go, but this is a far superior burger. I will be back again, hopefully soon.
An unexpected plus was the outstanding person working the front of the restaurant , Nivea (pronounced Ni-VAY-ah, NOT like the hand lotion). I’m a very observant person and my work involves increasing productivity (nerd alert!), and I developed as habit of observing how people do their work, especially in service jobs. Sadly, it seems that most people working in customer service jobs today have little to no interest in serving customers. That is not the case with Nivea. I came in at 7 PM on a Sunday night, so it was late in the shift the restaurant was full. She greeted me quickly and with genuine warmth and a smile. When I asked where the restroom was, she gave me clear instructions and also warned me that it might be a little wet in there. I watched her move around rapidly, serving all the different customers. Then she took the opportunity to clean up the restroom, then she was back filling up the water, pitcher moving rapidly to get it done quickly. When a large group that was seated at the counter, asked her what type of ice cream was used in the milkshake because they really liked it, she went to the back and got the information. I think there were only three workers in the restaurant at that time, two in the kitchen and Nivea in the front of the house. That’s a lot of work and responsibility to be on one person and most people in food service would not manage it, but she handled it with grace.
I’ve never met Nivea before, I just think it’s important to recognize outstanding work whenever I see it, as it is becoming increasingly rare. She was totally caught off guard when I told her what I thought about her work. The group seated at the counter agreed with my observation that Nivea is an excellent server and worker.
Nivea, if you happen to read this, there are many jobs in and out of customer service where your positive energy and diligence will take you far. Don’t sell yourself short.
And to other restaurant owners in the Berkeley/Albany area: if you’re looking for a good food server, come by Oh G Burger x Chimmelier, and ask is Nivea is working. If she is, order some food, sit down, and enjoy the food and the service.“

“Sparky's is a great quick lunch option. They've stream lined their systems during there busy times to get their customers in and out quickly. You can expect the same food quality every time. I got the teriyaki plater. I've changed my eating habits and have become sensitive to salt. Unfortunately I'll have to explore their menu to choose more healthier options. I haven't given up on returning.“

“Edit: My recent experiences here have been more mixed than in the past. Employees here are still fairly friendly but prices are no longer so reasonable. I do enjoy the new rewards program, though.

The employees are always super friendly and the food is awesome at a reasonable price (considering the city we're in and how expensive other quality burger places can be). They offer lots of meat options for burgers as well as a vegetable patty, and have seasonal items that rotate (like certain drinks/beers, salads, and certain meats like elk). “If you are interested in old school burgers where you can still order medium rare, and the burgers actually come medium rare, this the place. The burgers are huge and of high quality beef. The price includes fries, but I like the fact that with a very small upcharge I was able to sub 1/2 sweet potato fries and half onion rings, also very good and made to order. Finally, their milkshakes are great. I took one star off for atmosphere, but that’s because there was a basekball game going on and was a bit loud; however the other patrons were watching the game so I can’t really fault them. The guy that runs the place is always so friendly and appreciative of my business.“

Atmosphere is not great -it’s right across from the Coliseum BART station -but it’s the only place in the immediate vicinity. I was running late to a NIN concert so hadn’t had time to grab something beforehand. There are only two sidewalk tables, so I sat on the fire hydrant. Perfectly fine for a quick bite before a show. “My wife and I visited this spot yesterday to enjoy their Happy Hour. The place is small, but perfect. They have outside seating as well. We sat at the bar. We were immediately greeted warmly.

We ordered the Summer drink and the Peach one (Both found on the menu). We ordered the Original burger with fried egg and avocado. It was delicious. The burger was big, flavorful and everything was cooked how I needed it to be (We shared the burger and small fries. It was enough for 2). We ordered more drinks: Chocolate martini (Not on the menu, but ask for it...so delicious), we had tequila shots and my wife had a Mezcal drink prepared by the bartender (Not on the menu, but it was tasty).

The bartender was funny, accomodating and amazing. So amazing that I did not even know he was the owner!! Lol.. his name is Mike. He such a cool down to earth dude. Like very personable.
