“The tacos are delicious. I didn’t prefer the chicharron taco; my assumption was the pork fat would be crispy, but it was blubbery. I didn’t eat it. This was probably a mistake on my end.

The pork tamale was delicious as was the steak taco. The tamale wasn’t dry at all (I’ve seen other reviews saying it was dry). The service was so friendly and kind. I loved the artwork, but I did want a salsa bar. I’ll be back absolutely, and recommend the cantaloupe agua fresca.“

“Sol 626 is truly special. The menu offers a good variety of dishes, and our server was very knowledgeable about the ingredients and the origins of the recipes. Ambiance and service were exemplary, but the food was the real star of our evening. We tried the salmon, carne asada, and enchiladas with both red and green mole sauces. Each of these plates was perfectly prepared. Such amazing flavors! I also ordered the jamaica agua fresca, and it was delicious and not too sweet. I highly recommend Sol 626.

“Grabbed a quick dinner and drinks here. You just walk in, open seating. Scan a QR code to see the menu and then order at the bar. You’ll get your drinks at the bar and then dinner is brought out to you. Then to close your tab you have to go back to the bar which can be a bit of a wait unfortunately. But not too bad. The tacos were great. We went right before happy hour was ending and got $5 tacos. They were really good.“

“Great fish tacos. Note that these soft taco shells are the larger kind where they're put on the grill for a minute to get slightly crispy and crunchy, not the tiny cold ones out of a bag that everyone else uses for their fish tacos and has to double because they fall apart the instant the salsa touches them. The tacos have generous portions of fish and you can get extra salsa at no charge (again, unlike a lot of other stingy places).

“Located at the Level 8 of the Moxy hotel in DTLA, Que Barbaro has a fancy art Deco and modern style. You can sit at the tables or at the bar for a chef experience, watching the chef grilling in front of you. It offers South American flavors. Chimichurri, plantains, alioli.. paired with great wooden-grilled seafood or meat. The meat is tender, cooked medium-rare at it should be served, accompanied by salt flakes, bread grains and chimichurri obviously! The prawns are tasteful, spicy and sweet. The empanadas are made with a delicious, crunchy and sweet dough and the leche the tigre is an explosion of taste and heat. The chimichurri is very sour and has a pungent flavour, it could easily overpower the other flavors. There is an excessive amount of garlic in the dishes which leaves a bit too much of aftertaste. Overall is a good experience. The staff is staff, doesn't leave a mark. The prices are definitely excessive compared to similar spots.
