“Great coffee, great pastries, and an easy vibe. Street parking can be a little tricky depending on the time of day, but it’s worth it once you’re inside. There’s outdoor seating if you want some fresh air, and it’s right by the LA River bike path which makes it a perfect stop before or after a ride. Consistently solid spot.“

“Excellent Americano and a very nice spacious place. Love the ambience of this coffee shop, and love that they have a Slayer espresso machine, too!
You can tell it's different Americano because of the more modern, foward-tasting notes that's more typical of Slayer. Slightly more woodsy, and layered than your heavier, rounded espresso drinks from a La Marzocco.
The ham and cheese croissant is light, crispy, and very delicious. It's a great case of less is more when you don't need a heavy sandwich but expect delicious clean flavor.
I ended up buying their Espresso Blend, and I can't wait to try it on my Profitec Go espresso machine at home.“

“Whenever I find myself in Pasadena, I make it a point to stop by. As I step through the front door, the aromas are welcoming, the setting comforting, and with it a slew of memories rushes back. I discovered Jones in the early 2000’s during business trips to Pasadena. Through the years it became a must have visit, even during family trips. Leading the way is Rafael. He’s calm and welcoming and his presence is felt every where. In fact, during a 2021 visit he spotted my family and me, came over to greet us, and fondly recalled my children who he hadn’t seen in close to 8 years. It’s that type of personal attention , and good product, that has kept me coming back. Enjoy!“

“Our morning ritual used to involve bludgeoning ourselves into a semblance of consciousness with the heavy-hand of a generic dark roast. It was an effective if inelegant solution to parenthood. Aqaurela's beans provide a different experience. We are by no means coffee experts, but my wife and I were surprised by the nuances in smell and taste when we tried their Deus Me Livre for our morning espresso. It's a lighter feel; almost refreshing. The morning cup feels a bit indulgent, yet not so rich as to make your mouth feel overwhelmed. We could see this pairing very well as an after-dinner treat with any manner of desserts. The best part is that this is simply a fantastic company to work with. Quick, fast delivery. Prompt follow-up to make sure we were completely satisfied. And all questions answered - when we noted that we typically prefer darker roasts, one of the owners explained that their goal was to make a medium-roast whose flavors would still hold up to a coordination with cream and sugar. It's a throwback to days where customer service and the personal touch were still important. This is a small business whose goal of promoting independent farmers is admirable and worthy of our support. Thank you!“

“We were staying across the street for a night, and the hotel coffee was terrible, so we walked over to Silverback. The gentleman running the shop had a great, welcoming attitude and the oat cappuccino and oat lattes we got were beyond amazing - next level quality. The croissant was fresh and good sized. Overall 10/10, highly recommended.“

“I had a Spanish latte here that was delicious, the cashier was very sweet but I dont know if it was just a busy day and their system of bringing coffees to each person made it seem chaotic but it is a tiny place that was super crowded. If I order ahead of time and happen to find a parking spot I would absolutely love to pick up a coffee here on the go but the atmosphere was just not for me. Don't let that keep you away because the coffee IS good.“

“TB & TB is exactly our coffeehouse vibe - the coffee is incredible! I’d work here, meet friends or just chill on my own. The sweet treats were delicious and I can’t wait to get back! “I was helped by David!!! He is excellent! Professional! I feel Nespresso is the Chanel of coffee world and he certainly provided such service! He suggested flavors that was not in the menu. He provided sample of a limited addition coffee! I truly felt the service was as good as Nespresso in Zurich or Cannon! Maybe even better! Thank you very much David! I truly hope you get recognized for the great job you do! He signed me up for auto replenish and gave me the options to change my order online!“
