“My granddaughter loved it! It's our favorite neighborhood place. Only negative is, give the teens looking for summer jobs grace! My granddaughter applied for a job, went fir tge interview, arrived with exactly 8 min before interview, stood in the line to let personnel know she was there for interview & was told that while she was in line waiting to let them know she was there for an interview the manager left because she consider it being late! Really??“

“We love Criterion Coffee! The coffee is arguably the best coffee we’ve had!
The coffee shop looks really nice inside and has been very well decorated aesthetically!
It looks like it’s got a nice place to stay and work on the second floor, too
Wish we had more time here, but it’s a coffee shop that we’ll be returning to!“

“Came out because of an Eater article, stayed for the mochi pastries. Got an espresso cloud, a black sesame mochi cake bar, and a hojicha mochi muffin. Espresso cloud was tasty, black sesame cake had a great flavor, and the consistency of the hojicha muffin was spot on. Came on a Sunday morning so it was a bit packed and hard to hear orders get called out (hence the 4 star atmosphere), but would absolutely come back again.“

“I can't say enough nice things about Belles. The staff is great and the bagels are the bomb! I love their new full service restaurant as I used to order from them through door dash or postmates during covid. Super friendly and wonderful space!! Go!“

“First time trying and will say it was delicious. I got the Iced Spiced Mocha 🔥 .. doesn't come sweetened so just an FYI I know some people like sweet drinks I loved it😋. Actually got to speak with the owner for a bit. It's a Salvadorian family owned & operated business and they own their own coffee fields in El Salvador. Glad I got to try them out definitely going back“

“Stopped by on this gloomy morning, zero wait in line despite it being quite busy. I was greeted upon arrival and the girl at the front took my order. She was super sweet. I was given a beeper for order, and both my food and coffee didn’t take too long. I tried their signature Laveta latte with sweet foam and their french toast. Both were 10/10. Definitely worth a try!“

“Super glad I found a new exciting spot with GREAT coffee. My tastebuds were very happy with my iced sugarfree vanilla latte and banana cold foam! The coffee was bold and smooth and they did not over power the coffee with sugar! The staff was so friendly and sweet! I’ll be back again and again 🤍🤍🤍“

“For me, this is a top 5 LA coffee shop because it’s solid and straightforward. Great latte, cold brew, and drip coffee. Laidback ambiance and no pretentious energy. Delicious pastries and cute trinkets for purchase. Staff have always been friendly. Parking isn’t necessary hard to find but I rarely get a spot right in front…just gotta do a lap or two.“

“This is the best coffee shop around, no question about it. Their roasts are awesome and in this time of quarantine, is THE place to get your beans if you want quality coffee at home. You can order them on their website.“

“I loved both coffees I've had. The cold brew had very pleasant bitter-to-sweet transition. The jamon and manchego on a baguette was well seasoned and balanced by red onion and mayo. The breakfast burrito with mushrooms was also tasty. I will go back if I'm in the area again.“

“Mas Cafecito has delicious unique coffee flavored drinks. The only thing I was surprised about is that they don't sell regular unsweetened black coffee! How does a coffee place not sell regular black coffee?“

“Kumquat Coffee is one of the best specialty coffee spots in LA. The quality is genuinely next level — you can tell they really care about sourcing and how every drink is made.
The space is minimal and aesthetic, but pretty small, so it’s more of a quick stop than somewhere to stay for hours. There’s usually a line, but it moves fast.
Drinks are the highlight — especially their pour-overs and unique lattes. Prices are on the higher side, but it feels justified for the quality.
Downsides: limited seating if you want to sit and work.
Overall, a must-visit if you’re into proper coffee, not just cute cafés. Great coffee!“

“Was super excited to try this place!
And they did not disappoint.
Matcha is high quality and it looks like they make their syrups in house and they are delicious. I had a cream top matcha with lavender it was so good! Did not have their coffee but it looked amazing.
Baristas super nice as well!“

“Tilt Coffee Bar is one of the best parts of living in the area. It is, in my opinion, the best lattes and coffee you can find in DTLA, and somehow they are so underrated. The peanut cloudy latte is one of my favorite lattes I’ve ever had, and it’s what I always order. The peanut pairs SO perfectly with the rich espresso. Their quiches and baked goods are also amazing, but that’s about all I’ve tried.
It’s also very pleasant to order my drink and wait for it in the grassy area in the sun. Overall, especially for such a troubled area so close to Skid Row. This is one of the most pleasant parts of the neighborhood. I hope they never go out of business. They deserve all the best.“

“I think this might be the best matcha spot in little tokyo. I've had their regular oat milk matcha latte and their strawberry matcha latte and both had a rich flabor and a great foamy texture since it's made right in front of you. Atmosphere of the cafe is peaceful and well maintained. Staff is also very kind!“

“Ginger's Corner Market is an absolute gem in Pasadena! Its incredible location, unique charm, stellar customer service and fire menu to match its definitely a must stop when in town!
It doesn't matter what you select you wont be disappointed! Trust me, I've almost had EVERYTHING ON THE MENU!! The wedge is a delight with caramelized bacon to drool for, or the classic Cobb you can never go wrong with. My personal favorite is the ham n brie sandwich which is an incredible palate pleaser with both sweet and savory in one!
Stop in! You won't be disappointed“

“Constellation is a jewel in both La Canada and Silver Lake. It’s one of a handful of really good coffee shops in LA. Their espresso is smooth but flavorful, perfect for that early AM wake up call. Best of all, they are very community oriented and the leadership here really dedicates itself to helping the community in more ways than one. Great place, great owners, and they go the distance!“

“Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Minced Pork (Lu-Rou) Rice, fully loaded delicious stewed pork with egg. Meats are juicy and tender, kinda on the sweet side. Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!“

“Whenever I find myself in Pasadena, I make it a point to stop by. As I step through the front door, the aromas are welcoming, the setting comforting, and with it a slew of memories rushes back. I discovered Jones in the early 2000’s during business trips to Pasadena. Through the years it became a must have visit, even during family trips. Leading the way is Rafael. He’s calm and welcoming and his presence is felt every where. In fact, during a 2021 visit he spotted my family and me, came over to greet us, and fondly recalled my children who he hadn’t seen in close to 8 years. It’s that type of personal attention , and good product, that has kept me coming back. Enjoy!“

“Located at the City National Plaza, about 2 blocks away from the Westin Bonaventure Hotel.
Long line, expensive, and not so great service, but they make some amazing coffee. $6.00 for a vegan donut, $4.25 for an iced americano, and $2.50 to add cloud foam.
Parking is difficult around this area.“

“Love their chai! Dirty chai latte's are my go-to at any shop that offers it, and Tierra Mia serves a chai with the perfect blend of bitter & spice. If you're used to sweetened chai concentrates then it may not be for you, but if you're a true enjoyer of real spiced chai, then you're gonna love it. The baristas were also very sweet and welcoming.
It's really close to K & K Donuts too, which is a nice bonus for me because I've really missed the donuts California has to offer. NYC needs to step it up in that department.
Next time I'm visiting Echo Park, I'll definitely swing by.“

“Dulce Cielo in Monrovia is something special. This is my wife’s absolute favorite chai...and trust me, that means something. She drinks only chai and has sampled pretty much every chai in Monrovia and beyond. This is 'the one'
I walk a mile round trip every single day just to get it for her. That alone should tell you a lot.
So what makes Dulce Cielo different? Everything. Their chai isn’t some powdered mix scooped from a container and drowned in hot milk. It’s completely handmade by the owners themselves. This is a carefully tested work of art. The flavors are deliberate, balanced, and thoughtful. You can taste the care, time, and intention in every sip.
Beyond the chai, the creativity here is incredible. I’ve tried several of their other drinks and every one has been amazing...especially the horchata and coffee blend, which is next-level good. A friend of ours once mentioned a specific chocolate she loved, and the owners literally went out and sourced it just for her. That’s the kind of place this is.
And don’t even get me started on the cupcakes and pastries. Inventive, beautiful, and mind-blowingly creative. Nothing feels mass-produced. Everything feels loved.
Dulce Cielo isn’t just a coffee or tea spot...it’s a place where craft, creativity, and genuine care for customers come together. Once you go, you get it.“
“I decided to take a detour and stop by at around 9 am from the A line train since the shop is right next to the station. The service was a tad slow due to the amount of people in the cafe chatting and on their laptops but believe you me, what they serve is the real deal. I ordered a Reserve Matcha Latte with some maple flavoring. It was delicious. I also ordered a pastry that looked like a sweet roll from Skyrim, it was 7 bucks but tasted like it was hand-made and actually had flavor. It had a nutty sweet taste with cinnamon. All in all I paid around 20 bucks for a drink and a pastry ladies and gentlemen but the food really was good. Was it 20 dollars good? You'll have to be the judge of that if you decide to stop by. The interior design is very modern with an industrial feel with wood highlights.“

“Needed a quick coffee run after the last place flaked on me—honestly had no clue where to go next. Stumbled upon this spot and gave them a shot. They actually answered the phone when I called, and the order was ready when I arrived. It’s nice to find a place that follows through like that... plus, their coffee hits just right.“
“I never saw any part of a theater. I was there on a Saturday morning while waiting to get my truck serviced down the block. The young lady behind the counter was nice and helpful. The outdoor area was quiet and nice. I think the decor and seating could use an update, but all-in- all it was a nice experience.“

“What a fun spot to take your pup! Dog friendly outdoor patio where you can sit with your leashed pup, plus a mini “dog park”, which is really better suited as a place you can hang with your dog off leash! I love how Muddy Paw supports local animal charities 💕
Menu-wise, there are some pastries and tasty empanadas, in addition to coffee and tea. What a great fun spot!“
