I looked to Yelp as I always do to find a cake shop to rescue me. And I am glad that I came upon cake sisters. The whole experience from ordering to the final cake was amazing. I was able to explain over the phone what I wanted and followed up with an email. They executed my order flawlessly. The cake was stunning, and the flavor was delicious. I ordered vanilla cake with buttercream frosting and a Bavarian cream and pineapple filling. I described the cake that I wanted and it looked and tasted as if I had made it for myself. They were so spot on. It was soooo pretty. Especially the little edible shoes that they made. The chocolate flourless cupcake is probably my favorite, it is like biting into a chocolate pillow.Today we tried the candy cane cake, champagne cupcake and mimosa cupcake. The candy cane cake is chock full of candy cane pieces. The mimosa had a light orange flavor and the champagne cupcake had a very light flavor in the frosting.“

“New ownership since the last time I stopped by a few years ago, but happy to see someone move into the spot. More of a classic panederia now vs the modern Mexican that was there before, but still very good. The new owners are definitely “mom and pop”, very hard working and very friendly. They didn’t have what I was looking for, which were the mini churros with dipping sauce for my office mates, so I tried a few other options and everyone seemed to love what I brought in. They gave me a card and said I can pre-order anything I wanted, including the mini churros sans dipping sauce as well as other mini versions of their regular pastries. Will definitely be back!“

The people took my order and I got the can't the next day with a $5 discount to boot! Tastes wonderful and my friends loved it too. If you're parking be careful though. “This little bake shop is awesome!! It's small and I loved the decorations. Went in to inquire about ordering cupcakes for my office. I was greeted instantly with a big smile and hello. Customer service is great and the cupcakes...OMG...so good. Hard to choose a favorite. The one that caught my eye was the Boston Cream cupcake. I love Boston Cream anything so of course had to give that one a try along with a few others including red velvet, cookies & cream, chocolate and vanilla. I did not try it, but they also have a vegan cupcake which I'm now intrigued about. Highly recommend. Stop by if you are in the area.“
“We are very happy with our two-tier 8" + 10" Pink Pearls And Roses wedding cake. We had purchased a cake for $80 from Sweet Oak because the baker didn't offer samples. We tried to work with her to make modifications but that didn't work out, so we tried Lark Cake Shop because they offered free samples. John allowed us to sample as many flavors as we liked in the form of cupcakes which we picked up in their Silver Lake location. We learned that it truly pays to go with a baker that offers free samples. He said the bottom tier could be different from the top tier so we chose mocha as the bottom tier and berry shortcake as the top tier. The only frosting available was Italian buttercream, which luckily was our favorite. The cake was moist and the frosting was not too sweet; it was delicious and memorable.“
“I'm actually shocked at Sprinkles like.... Did I just come on a lucky day because the cupcake was actually .... Good!? Now, I would NEVER actually go to a Sprinkes and pay over $5 for a cupcake. It was good but not $5+ good. On this day I had a free birthday reward and I was at the Americana so I figured why not grab one. I went with the Sprinkle cupcake and at first I didn't realize I could only redeem my cupcake online so I had to place a pick-up order that apparently wasn't going to be ready for an hour. I told the worker at the pick up window and he was kind enough to just pack it up for me right away! Win service. The cupcake itself was actually moist and had good flavor not too sweet either while the frosting wasn't overly sugared and it was just the right amount for me to make a cupcake sandwich out of it.“
“Great ice cream! Cold stone never fails on providing great service, however staff here is very very low. Probably just one or two people are serving, so expect longer wait times than usual if there’s a lot of people. Other than that, staff is friendly and do their best to be efficient and quick. I notified that they support local business, if you buy a pizza nearby (business on flyer) you’ll get a discount there at cold stone upon showing receipt.“

“I read about this place a few weeks ago when looking for tamales. I finally tried it. I bought a pork, chicken and cheese tamale. The tamales were very tasty and there was an ample amount of filling. I wish there was a little more sauce infiltrating the masa but it wasn't super dry. While waiting I couldn't resist the concha and had to buy one. This was the best one I've had in a long time. Yummy!“
“What an absolute gem this shop is. We had our wedding cake made by Pastries by Nancy & oh boy it did not disappoint. When we had to go try cakes from different vendors, all we could talk about was the cakes from this shop. The owner was also very helpful & knowledgeable about the cakes & what could & wouldn’t work. I remember being most excited to have cake at the wedding more than the other parts of the wedding! We love their cake so much we are going to come back for a slice every year on our anniversary.“
