“You know what. I love Sushi and I’ve traveled around trying many sushi restaurants trying to find unique quality sushi restaurants that have that flare to make you want to come back again and again. I found that this Sushi restaurant was one of those I would visit again. You know what sets it apart. Is the sushi guys at the sushi bar that welcome you in and make sure to say goodbye on your way out. Not only is there a great greeting, but the service is great too. Even though they are small they pumped out the orders with great speed and finesse. Also, they have very unique sushi rolls that I haven’t seen at most sushi bars. As a sushi enthusiast, it fabulous to find new rolls to try and of course stick with the occasional favorites. Thanks again for the great food and we hope to visit you once again when we are back in town.“

“The server - Jojo - appeared to be less present than the bussers. She seemed irritated when we asked her to remove empy plates from the table. She was engaging with my kiddos, though. We weren't given our sharing plates with our sushi, so that made it a little awkward to start eating. Timing for when food came out was great. Always love the fried rice with anything on the menu“

So I was so excited to have been able to finally go today to celebrate @wakandinh 's birthday and do a date night. This was honestly some of the most prettiest and tastiest food I have had. These were some of my favorites tonight. They honestly were all so well thought out and meticulously prepared. I am so grateful to have experienced this Omakase service. The staff and Chef Gino were very attentive, friendly, and endearing. I’ve tried sushi all over to include Japan, and this restaurant is an amazing find for quality, freshness and value. “First time coming here and sushi is pretty good quality. I opted for the spicy tonkotsu but was not spicy enough, but the pork chashu was pretty charred and tasty. I also ordered the yellowtail lover and tuna with lemon slices roll.

All rolls are 4 pieces which is nice because if you want to try many rolls vs just trying one roll. 4 pieces for under 10 dollars is such a good deal. People recommended me the sashimi salad or 2 other options that are big enough for 4 people with variety of fresh sashimi.“

“Everything is good. Their sushi is superb and the hamachi kama is soooo delicious, we ordered another one because my brother in law Jim devoured it. He don’t really eat fish, but when he tasted the hamachi kama , he said it’s the best tasting grilled fish. We’re from Arizona, but my sister in law and her husband is just 5 miles away from this sushi restaurant. We’re the one who introduced this place to them . “The sushi was amazingly ? fresh. The place was clean and the presentation was on point. I loved the quaint atmosphere. We had an appetizer of blue soft shell crab. The breading was a bit thick and the crab was rather moist. The flavors were good but I'm not sure I would order that if I went back. Only because the balance of bread to fish ratio was so so. I think this combination could have been pronounced better with a sauce. We also ordered some egg rolls but again, their sushi was so good, had I to do over again I would have saved all my stomach space for another roll instead of the appetizer. The sushi was 5 stars +, the egg rolls 3.5*, and the soft shell crab 3.5. The mango tango roll had so many flavors going on I did not even want to use the soy sauce as it may overpowered all of the other delicate flavors happening within the roll. Same with the crazy monkey, loved the cashews and sauces and did not want to overpower the delicate flavors with soy sauce. The service was attentive to all of our needs. We also had Yuki Sake and that was delicious with a slightly sweet taste but not overwhelming. I would go back there in a heartbeat for their sushi and service.Rolls: Mango Tango, Crazy Monkey

Limited seating is available so I recommend getting to food to go. I think I'll give this place another shot next time I am around.“

“I wanted to gatekeep this SO BADLY but I may have just found the BEST quality handrolls in Orange County.

Took my mom to this super chic and modern handroll bar in Brea. The quality of each handroll was UNREAL.

Seriously, so hard to choose favorites, but I loooved the baked blue crab and A5 wagyu.

I also definitely recommend getting their rock shrimp tempura appetizer and fun mocktails that are so tasty.

“KAI Sushi is an amazing restaurant. We love going to family owned businesses and supporting them. We were in Orange County and wanted sushi and found KAI. We live an hour away and will definitely be going back. The place is very clean and looks like they just opened yesterday after 16 years in business.
