“I had heard this is one of the best wineries in Napa Valley, and that turned out to be absolutely true. It’s one of the most visually stunning places I’ve ever visited—rolling hills, beautiful vineyards, and incredible architecture. The tour was absolutely worth it. Nancy was fantastic: extremely entertaining, informative, and clearly very knowledgeable about the winery’s history and its wines. As for the tasting, everything was excellent, and we ended up purchasing several bottles—it was well worth it. The quality is outstanding, and I would absolutely come back again.”

“We have been wanting to go to Bravante Vineyards for some time now as we recently were gifted their 2017 Merlot, which we absolutely loved. Jeff was our host and he was incredibly knowledgeable and such a pleasure to chat with. We felt like we had known him forever. All of Bravante’s wines were delicious and we couldn’t help but purchase a case of their reds to take home. We also joined their wine club. We live locally and are looking forward to our next visit. “My wife and I ate here for dinner and had a fantastic experience. We had a couple different glasses of wine and our waiter was amazing at walking us through different samples of wine before we landed on ones we liked. The choices were great.

We were on our honeymoon and the waiter brought out complimentary glasses of rose sparkling wine which was delicious. We started with the beef tartar, the crudo, and sourdough rolls— each was delicious and a great start. Our main dishes were the pumpkin risotto and short rib, both delicious as well. The short rib was so tender it melted in my mouth. We ended with a toffee cake that was delicious and hit the spot.

The staff was incredible the entire time. Our waiter (I think Laura?) was amazing and even gave us a few recommendations on places to try during our visit, which we did!”

“They really have their service down. The staff was extremely attentive in an unobtrusive way, on top of being personable. Truly no notes on the service. The dining room atmosphere was decent. My only complaint is the bathroom location makes it feel disjointed from the restaurant (totally nitpicking there). I heard they are trying to get a michelin star, given the price point, and that the dishes were for the most part tweaked/elevated versions of classic dishes, I don't think the food was quite consistently excellent enough to get there. I think they are reasonably close. The crab pasta course was overwhemed a bit by the red pepper sauce it was a touch too acidic which competed with the flavor of the crab. the cheese desert seemed a little simplistic, and they weren't interesting enough to make up for the simplicity. The tuna carpaccio, while very tastey and well balance flavorwise, didn't highlight the tuna which was lightly seared, muting the flavor, and making it not feel like a tuna carpaccio dish. The duck was well cooked, but all the seasoning was in the sauce making it you you had to get the ratio of duck to sauce right for the seasoning to work. Ideally it would have been more evenly distributed. I think they could also use a little work on portion size. The carpaccio, and rissoto were a bit too big.
All of these details are very nitpicky, and we had a very nice evening, but if they want to get to that next level, I think these details need more attention.”

“My husband and I brought our family to Napa for what we called The 2025 Napa Valley Great Grape Escape. One of our reservations was with Far Niente’. We were blessed to be there on the morning of first day of harvest. Our host was amazing and super knowledgeable. The grounds were perfection. Our tasting was set up and waiting for us under a private outdoor pavilion. Not only were the wines so incredible…each taste was paired with a cheese, nut and dried fruit combination. The attention to detail and the special way the vineyard made our party of 12 feel was unforgettable! We will be back!”

“Delis usually have to be cheaper. But this place is expensive. The food was good though, but you can share if you eat less, don't have to buy more. This city doesn't have any chain restaurants nearby so I think this place will be cheaper than other fine dines.”

“Rombauer allows you to reserve a table for wine by the glass or bottle, and they even welcome outside food for a picnic-style experience at their garden tables. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and make the whole experience feel extra special.

My partner and I visited on my 30th birthday. We couldn’t sit outside because of the rain, but the team set up a lovely table for me inside, complete with a big birthday balloon. Thank you for making my birthday so special!”

“Our host, Louie was very gracious, knowledgeable, and entertaining. He shared the regions history in a way that was both entertaining and informative. It gave me a greater understanding of what’s happening in the history of the great wineries and what’s happening now.

He was generous with his with his pouring and and sharing details about each of the wines we tasted.

The only suggestion I have Is they should put out a bit of Crackers to improve the qualities of the various tastings. It also would be better to wash the glasses between tasting the whites and going into the reds.”

“Made a reservation here for lunch while visiting Calistoga. We didn’t stay at this property but it was great to check out! Located at the Solage resort by the pool, you can’t sit by the pool (only for resort guests). We started with a round of tequila shots and ordered some drinks, I think I got the green flash. We got items to share for a party of 5. Elote, hearts of romaine salad, ceviches, squid/calamari. So fresh and so good. We did a. Variety of tacos— quesabirria, crispy avocado, and fish tacos. We devoured our meal it was so fresh and delicious! For dessert we got the churros and chocolate, flan, tres leches French toast, and Mangonada. Really good, service was good. Our server was super kind and friendly. It’s also such a relaxing and beautiful area while enjoying lunch by the pool on a nice and hot day. There’s hotel parking and not too far from the Calistoga festivities.”
