“We had such an incredibly positive experience with Social Paella. We ordered our catering with delivery and set-up for a party. The delivery was prompt and all supplies for set up were assembled quickly. The paellas were beautiful and delicious! We also thoroughly enjoyed the Tortillas which we had to accompany the meal. A couple of helpful tips: Be sure to have Tupperware or containers on hand for leftovers, as Nana's Kitchen does not provide these. Also, you’ll need to supply your own plates, napkins, and utensils, which we were aware of in advance. With a little preparation, everything runs smoothly—and the food is more than worth it!“

“I've lived in the. neighborhood and always knew Baked It Myself was here but because of work and just being plain forgetful, i never had the chance to try it until a few weeks ago. I've been there once a week since and i'll continue to be a regular. Some of the best food in the area for a great price. I've stuck to their sandwiches so far: hanger steak panini, brie prosciutto and pear and the fried chicken and fries special. all three HIT. and the delicious free cookie with them is icing on the cake.
it's a side street on van nuys, no frills cozy inside with outdoor seating that's actually on one of the nicer feeling streets in this area.

“I recently visited SunCafe Organic in Los Angeles for breakfast and ordered the French toast with cinnamon apples. The dish was delightful! The French toast was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside—and the cinnamon apples added a warm, comforting touch. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into the food here, and the quality was top-notch.
I arrived right when the cafe opened on a Saturday morning and was the only customer during the first hour. While this made for a quiet and peaceful experience, I was surprised that the service wasn’t more attentive given how slow it was. The server never checked on me after I received my food, which was a bit disappointing. A quick check-in to see if I needed anything would have elevated the experience.
That said, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the menu offers a wide variety of creative, organic options. I’d definitely recommend this spot for anyone seeking delicious plant-based dishes. With just a little improvement in service, this place could easily be a five-star experience!

“We booked El Churro Man for our wedding reception. They have a person making freshly fried churro & serving to our guests right outside the truck. Their churro were so light & crispy with plenty dipping sauce choices. Our guests raved over this late night treat. “This bakery is ok. Read the reviews and they were all falling over how greta the place is. While the food I ordered was very good I would not say it was amazing. The tahini bread, however, was very good. It is very cheap so I can see why the quality compared to the price gives this place high ratings.“

Haute Chefs are always the first on my list when I have to cater a dinner or event.
Their prices are incredibly reasonable for everything you get, but lets be honest, we're here to talk about their food. Their food is always delicious and portions VERY generous. Their presentation is also something you can't forget about, we eat with our eyes first.
They have also become very conscientious of people's dietary needs over the years that I never have trouble finding gluten-free or vegan options on their menu for those with dietary restrictions.
I was going to list some of my personal favorites, but then the list got very long. However, you can't go wrong with their roasted cauliflower, steak & shrimp. Their charcuterie & cheese board is also very beautiful and delicious with the freshest in-season fruits. Their menu has something for everyone, and they are willing to take any other adjustment should you need them for one reason or another.
Definitely worth having them cater your next event/dinner, etc.“

“I had been craving Efo Riro (vegetable soup), pounded yam, and Jollof for a while now and was told to try The Peppered Goat. I ordered Jollof and chicken and it did not disappoint!! That rice was so good and the chicken was cooked to perfection falling off the bone. I do like my rice a little spicier as I am accustomed to about 3 habaneros but it was still good! The man that greeted me was super nice as well. I can't wait to go back for the pounded yam and vegetable!“

“Food is great! Even though in LA there are a lot of luxury hibachi restaurants, even high end omakase, but in terms of cost-effectiveness, this restaurant is phenomenal. This restaurant cost you little but delivers high-end Omakase level service and awesome food. The key part is the hibachi scallops and fillet mignon, nice flavor and juicy, a real gem!“

“Contemporary Catering is incredible. Period. Hire them. It will be the best decision you make. It certainly was ours. My (now) wife and I spent over a year planning our wedding weekend and Rob, Rachel, and, of course, Chef Nate, were there for us every step of the way. First, the food: It is 5-stars, no joke. I am a “foodie” and a bit of a self-admitted food snob. Honestly, I would drive an hour daily to Encino to eat in their test kitchen 7 days a week if they would let me. Even now, three weeks after our wedding, our guests continue to rave to me about the food (pro tip: you NEED to serve the mini chicken and waffles appetizer). Trust me when I tell you that their execution was flawless and the quality was exquisite. Second, the people: You will not find a more invested, passionate, and sincere team of individuals who love what they do and are so good at it. They are unbelievably responsive, overly generous with their time, extremely attentive to detail and endlessly patient. Without a doubt, we can say that thanks to Contemporary our wedding day was perfect and we are so grateful to everyone on the team. Rob and his team provided so much more value than I ever thought possible. “So happy to have tried Sugo! I only dipped my toes into the flavor pool ordering only the French Fries and the Meatballs and sauce! Having had an Italian Chef for a Father, I grew up being able to tell good Italian flavors from a simple dish like Meatballs and Sauce (gravy)! Both were excellent from Sugo! Hot from heat, great texture and fine flavors and plenty of food! I'm looking forward to delving deeply into the menu next time! The rest of the family dinner was a hit with everyone too! Great food for the price! I highly recommend Sugo!“

“Awesome tortas, I'm a chilango and these tortas are legit. I came with a party of three and we ordered different tortas. My favorite was the torta chilanga. The order took a few minutes but everything came out fresh. The ingredients looked high quality. These tortas also have the good cheese (quesillo or queso Oaxaca) so that's a plus. The gentleman who took out orders did a great job of walking us through the different menu items and told us which were the most popular. I did ask for a more custom torta and he basically said, no problem we can do that. Aguas were good too. I live in scv but I will be coming out here to get these tasty tortas.“
