“We LOVED their fried rice it was so good! Solid amount of chicken in it too. We ordered the chicken garlic noodles as well that was also tasty. The woman who took our order was so sweet she brought out all of our items to us very gingerly and also put a nice big bottle of siracha out. We wished we lived closer so we could come more often!“

​From the moment I stepped into Akai Asian, I knew I was in for a treat. The warm, inviting ambiance and the sight of happy, cordial diners immediately set a fantastic mood. I felt genuinely welcomed by the staff, who guided me through their extensive menu—and wow, was I blown away by the selection!
​For my first visit, I ordered the Chicken Bento Box, and it was easily a 5-star dish. It was a well-balanced masterpiece!
​The box featured a delightful salad with corn, which was perfectly topped with a nice sesame seed oil dressing—it was incredibly savory and very tasty. It also included four delicious California rolls. Alongside these were some fried veggies and fried shrimp. They were very pleasant; not overwhelmingly greasy or heavy, but perfectly fried right to the bite. Lastly, the star was the delicious chicken served on top of fresh veggies and rice. Everything was perfectly prepared, showcasing the high quality and fresh flavors of Asian cuisine.

“Great date spot, sure to impress! The katsu has a rich flavor and superior texture, melt in your mouth with a layer of crunch. The Matcha Yuzu Ade was so good my partner and I started making our own at home. Kind staff as well, we sat at the booth and it was fun watching the kitchen. I live far away from this place but otherwise would be a regular.“

“Very good customer service and vibes I love the decorations and how clean it is. The ramen and potstickers were very filling and definitely worth trying. I keep coming back for the spicy tonkatsu ramen but the sushi was not very good especially for the price...

Another complaint I have is the chopsticks feel very cheap and hard to work with plus $2.50 for a can of coke isn't really something to look forward to with your meal

“Nicely flavored wings. I ordered the fish sauce glazed wings, original garlic wings, and shrimp garlic noodles. The garlic wings and garlic noodles were great.

The fish sauce wings are exceptional. Nice umami flavor, cripsy, good size. Haven't had any wings like them before, very addicting. Will definitely order again.“

“We just had our mandatory Hmart food court date this weekend and tried out KZ Mori. For $19 we got the Mix Katsu Combo with Curry served on the side. The tray came with miso soup, cabbage salad and katsu sauce! Pickled radishes were at the counter for self service as well! We were there late afternoon so the wait for food was quick, about 10 minutes before our order was done. Portions are huge, we ended up sharing the entree between the two of us! Light batter on the katsu slices, with such a good crunch to each bite! The chicken tasted a tad juicier than the pork but overall each bite was a great compliment to the curry! Definitely a great stop for a good deal and a great lunch!“

“Favori is one of my favorite restaurant. The restaurant is spacious, nice decor, clean, great service. Came after lunch hour, restaurant was not too busy, we ordered quite a bit, foods came out fast, most dishes were delicious. BBQ pork was tendered, moist, tumeric fish little overcooked, love the shrimp paste on sugar cane, it was excellent, i dont eat rare beef but their rare beef salad was very good. I would recommend to everyone.“

“The spot is located on the premises of the Garden Grove Home Depot. They have three tables set up right by their spot with a total of seven chairs.

The staff, which included a man and a woman were nice.

I had the beef teriyaki bowl and I was surprised it was so delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection, the teriyaki sauce was not too rich in consistency or watery, and not overwhelmingly sweet, it was perfect. The rice had the perfect texture too. 5/5

I also had a corn dog and it was the first thing I ate. Hehe he, I was pretty hungry. It was indeed better than other corn dogs I've had.

I also witnessed a belligerent woman who was being so rude and disrespectful to the staff and the staff remained calm and very respectful after the woman was making all sorts of rude comments. Props to them for handling the situation with the utmost professionalism and respect despite the way they were being mistreated.

Overall, I had a positive experience with some delicious beef teriyaki and I'll be going for more. If you have not visited them I highly recommend you do.“

“It's one of my top choices for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. They are famous with "Nui Xào Bò". But my favorite food here is "Banh My Xiu Mai + Fried egg". This place is better than the original one that is next to it as it's a non-smoking area so it's easier to breathe here.“

“The bill was $168 for 4 dishes+2 beers+ 1 hot tea pot + 1 hot water pot. We had 4 people for dinner. The ripped off is $20 for the 1 hot tea + 1 water pot(charge $5 per person). The manager credited back only 1 time favor(not second time in the future) of $10 for hot water pot after i complained that we ordered 2 beers for drink. It was ridiculous since a bottle of beer only $3. We will not go back to this place again. New customers please stay away from this restaurant. “Wow, so incredibly clean inside. Really nice presentation, better than I anticipated. I went in for the first time and the customer service was great! She was happy to explain and walk me through what they serve and offer with a positive attitude. She even explained the points system as I was paying. That kind of customer service is special when employees are attentive. The gals were cheerful and respectfully welcoming to customers and were happy to help. Good communication 👍🏼 thank you. 😊

“Friday 4th of July Lunch at Chao Nieu 35 with my sister. Ordered 2 dozen oysters Vietnamese style sauces and escargot butter garlic sauce and filet mignon with glass noodles. Delicious and great price for $1 oyster.

Service staffs were nice and friendly however very limited in English. Be sure to bring your own translator.

“My wife really enjoyed the curry chicken plate and the sides that came with it. She had the mild curry and said it was one of the better ones she's had in quite a while.
I had the pork katsu sandwich and it was a mess! Needed a ton of napkins. It was a little tough and had too much of a kick for me. The waffle fries were okay, for me, not as good as Chick-fil-A.
Service was just okay. They have a self-serve kiosk for ordering. Works okay but I prefer the option of using a cashier.
Self-serve fountain drinks are a specialty brand, not Coke or Pepsi.
Parking lot is very busy. But we found a spot fairly quickly and not to far from the restaurant.
Worth a try for the curry chicken katsu but I'd avoid the sandwich.

“Plenty of seats. Extra like fifty cent charge for cards. Lady barely seem to speak english. Food taste a lil cheap. Got the mixed veg and fried rice. It was ok. Steam table food. The thing with these type of places is that the veggies taste clear/fake or something lol paid 15 with extra side of broccoli. Try it out if u will. Id go back last. “Best pho I’ve tasted in garden grove, the broth alone has so much flavor! I get the beef pho it’s about 13 dollars, the serving size is pretty big. “The older Asian man who took our order was not friendly at all. (The first thought that entered my mind was that he was a racist) Upon entering the restaurant my friend and I greeted him twice he never did open his mouth and speak. It was our first time there so I had questions about what I wanted to order. He was very pushy and impolite rushing us even though we were the only customers in the restaurant. We should have turned around and walked out but we were tired so we ignored his rudeness. The rice was good but I wondered how it could be cooked to order when we got it right away.“

“Sometimes I have a craving for duck braised in Chinese Herbs Noodles soup. This one is a special duck leg marinated in like Chinese Medicine Herbs, with the darker soup and darker skin. The best place would have a very tender duck leg, not hard and the meat you can taste with the special chinese herbs and the soup and noodles are different from all other soup.
Last time I was in OC, my friend introduced me this place and it's the best one I've tasted so far. It was so good that I came twice. My sister like the bbq duck noodles soup which is good too.
Since I'm always hungry, I have to ask for the extra noodles for $2.
The prices and the services are great, very inexpensive and the service is attentive and quick.
My wife also love this duck soup, I'll bring her here next time when we go together.“
