“Some of the best food I have ever had. Clam chowder was creamy and good. Da bomb shrimp had great flavor and was cooked perfect. My wife commented that the sea bass was some of the best fish she had ever had. Our server was very personable and welcoming. Talked a bit and shared his recommendations for each dish to make it the best possible. This play is way better for quality and price than many of the other options on the island!“

“Let's start with this is a ca$h only establishment. Not a problem as I had cash while visiting Catalina Island. And while talking $$$ it was price affordable, price right and fairer that some other local restaurants. It's tucked away and seems like a local favorite. It's away from the tourist attractions on the main strip.. Menu options Korean and Mexican but trust me don't let that stop you if you wanted something American ish.

“Five of us went to dinner and everyone ordered a different pasta entree. Without exception, each person enjoyed every bite!! My pesto and scallops dish was creamy and perfectly seasoned. We will definitely return on our next visit to Catalina Island.“

I do agree with other reviewers that the cost to portion size is on the smaller side. What I did have was very good though. “We visited here for dinner though. It's very popular breakfast place. We were very happy to be escorted to a nice table. Esmeralda took the orders and helped guide us through the availability of Italian dishes. I took the salad and the minestron soup. They were excellent. Noodles with meatballs and well cooked. Rub yeoli dish with spinach. Everything tasted, yummy drinks were available. We went in for simple Coke and water. The service was very good and being a birthday. They gave a complimentary tiramisu, which was icing on the cake. Excellent place. We enjoyed all the hospitality and great service. Very reasonable prices and made evelyn, even more memorable“

“The gelato here is exceptional. It is very good, and they have a fairly diverse selection which also includes ice cream. Unfortunately, they have a penchant for running out of ice cream cones, so sometimes only bowls are available. The wait can also be long. When we went, the line was out the door and across another storefront. You may also notice this place as the line will either go across storefronts, or people will queue directly into the street and block the flow of traffic. Either way, the selection of gelato and ice cream is great, and the flavors are fantastic. If you're looking for gelato, this was the only place we found that offered it. If you're looking for ice cream, this place or Sailor's Delight are your go-to depending on the line and your desired wait time.“
