“I recently dined at a Rutts and it was a delightful experience. The friendly staff added to the overall positive atmosphere. The menu featured a variety of Hawaiian dishes. I highly recommend trying their Hawaiian Royals and Short Rib Tacos. The portions were generous, and the presentation was visually appealing. Overall, a great spot for those craving something delicious.“

“The food is amazing for a very reasonable price, but I think the service differs depending on who's working. The first time I came with my Latina friend and the staff person also appeared to be Latina (she was speaking Spanish to some other customers while we were there); she noticeably treated my friend preferentially and was short with me when I asked questions about the menu and how to order since it was my first time, which ended up making me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Then when I tried to pay, my payment failed the first time so she told me to insert my card again, but she "helped" by tapping on the screen for me and selecting the highest tip for herself without giving me a choice. I told her that wasn't the tip option I wanted to select but she gave me a dirty look and told me I couldn't go back, so I just had to pay the amount she selected or risk making a big fuss. Then she didn't offer me a receipt, which I think is just bad service considering she overcharged me, but maybe it's because she didn't want me to find out her name (since the server name is usually printed on your receipt). When our food came out, my friend's meal was neatly packaged so that she could take it to go, but my poke bowl didn't have a lid on it even though I was also taking it to go, and I had to ask for one, which she also treated like I was being an inconvenience. It was a really off-putting experience.My second time here, I came back with a different friend and ordered the exact same thing because the food quality was great, it was just the service that sucked, so I figured I'd give the place a second chance. Thankfully my second time was a lot better. The server (Michelle, based on my receipt) was very sweet and I didn't experience any problems. So I will probably keep eating here in the future, but I would not like to encounter the rude staff person from my first time again.“

“This is the best Poke I've ever had, and I've tried alot of Poke places. Their prices are very good compared to all the other ones. The owner is such a nice, friendly lady!! I will not go anywhere else. This place is soooo good and also very clean. I've been to Poke places where their seafood has tasted either spoiled, or dirty. But this place, literally everything tastes so on point!! Thank you to the owner for always treating me right when I go.“

“Just a little hole in the wall , with really good food, older decor, nothing special for dining in, but really good food and fast with a friendly staff, definitely more of a lunch or dinner take out place, but really good food, did I mention the really good food?“

“A hidden gem within the Puente Hills Mall..The customer service was immaculate! If your on a time budget and trying to grab something quick and comforting..THIS IS IT!! We ordered the Katsu Chicken Plate..please note this is a huge plate!! It accompanied steam rice, Mac Salad and veggies. I also ordered the BBQ chicken bowl w/rice and veggies. Food was definitely a hit!! Although the ambience was a bit dark and wish they were seen more!!“

“What can I say, the food there is excellent. All the plates are affordable and you get a lot of food (tastes so yummy). The staff are polite, and respectful and the chefs are excellent. If you want some delicious Chinese Food or Hawaiian Grill, I highly recommend this establishment to everybody.“

“Been her multiple times now and the food is great. I am an order online and pick up customer and the service is great and always prompt. My go to order is the spicy chicken plate or shrimp plate. Both are great. Definitely recommend. Also the dole ice cream cone is an awesome little treat.“

“I don't normally do reviews at all. Saw this place awhile back and stumbled upon it again while driving today. First time experience, the price is extremely reasonable however the proportions?!? The proportions were beyond amazing. The food and the service here was just impeccable, cooked right in front of you. Quiet area too if you wanna get away from everything.“

The service is fast and the employees are very friendly and accommodating. Since I am regular customers in this place, so by now I have my favorite dishes that I ordered frequently which are;- BBQ Mix Combo Plate; for meat lovers. It’s a small family-run counter serve operation with great Hawaiian inspired plate lunch comfort food, especially for meat lovers.The place is tucked in a corner of the Vons mall at the southwest corner of Myrtle and Foothill, so plenty of free parking. The chef and manager Ken took my order and was very friendly and helpful to recommend certain specialties on their menu.I ordered the Chicken Combo (BBQ Chicken and the crispy Katsu Chicken) and the Hawaiian BBQ Mix (BBQ Chicken, BBQ Beef, and substituted Teriyaki Chicken in place of Kalbi Beef). Both plates come with two scoops of white rice and a scoop of Mac Salad. “Solid place to get some Hawaiian food for yourself or for the fam. I ordered their mini meal which was $9.99 plus tax. Solid choice-- comes w your choice of meat, some cabbage, Mac salad, and rice. Not a bad price point for what you get. What I wish it came with is a drink. That would definitely make the mini meal a great mini meal imo. All in all good place“

“Love Poke and this place has fresh fish and vegetables and I've been multiple times and it hasn't disappointed which says consistency - hard to find these days. It's the usual line up of choose your base: salad, brown or white rice or half/half and then proteins and add on's. Highly recommend coming out here to have a delicious poke on rice and salad.“

“I ordered the House special mixed plate as it came with macaroni salad, white rice, bbq chicken on top, bbq beef on the bottom, and Katsu chicken too. Two cups of sauces: teriyaki sauce and katsu sauce. Delicious meal. Four tables outside in the front and parking in the back.“

“I really like the “Loco Moco”, I eat there about once or twice a week, always good, never had a bad experience. The gentleman behind the counter always greets me with a “hello sir” the prices are reasonable and the food is always hot….Parking: Plenty of parking“

I got a small poke bowl and it was filling but light enough to watch my calories since I was able to get half greens. Everything was fresh and the gentleman who helped me was very nice. Will be stopping by here from now on to get my poke bowls.“

“This is becoming a regular spot for me. Combos are a little pricey but the food is so good. Portions are big just wish they included more Mac salad. A combo and sushi roll cost about $28 but is shareable. This is what we usually do for 2 people. Great chicken and beef!“

“Amazing place. Even thought they gave us salmon instead of chicken it was delicious. We had to pay for the salmon but they were really nice because they gave us a discount and gave us free drinks. “Why this place has 3 stars and not 5 is beyond me. Food is excellent, BBQ Chicken is fantastic, so is their Katsu Chicken. Portions are generous and price is more then fair for what you get. My family and I love this place and are so glad we decided to try it about a year or so ago. Always have to get a few Spam Musubi, they are great. The Loco Moco plate is also very good. We have tried most menu items and Haven't had a bad dish, everything has always been very good. The service has always been good too, the restaurant is clean. Can't ask for more. Definitely a favorite!“
