The highlight, however, was the warm, complimentary service from our friendly servers, Katlynn and Daniel. They made us feel more like friends than customers, engaging in meaningful conversation and making our evening truly special—far beyond ordinary service. “Second time here and it's been fantastic both times. I got the original chicken sandwich, medium. The spicy level was perfect, made my lips and mouth tingle but didn't over power the sandwich, and slaw was cold and fresh. Large portion of fries with seasoning of some sort and they were delicious. You could probably split an order of fries because the sandwich is so big, you'll end up stuffed at the end if you finish both. I was kind of annoyed that they charge a $1 for a cup of sauce, but it didn't take away from everything else. House music type vibe inside, on the louder side but you can still have conversations at the tables. Overall I really enjoyed this place and would recommend it 👌”

“I went for take out. I had a $100 gift card a client gave me. I ordered the FAMILY STYLE Chicken Picatta. It said it feeds (4). I got garlic mashed potatoes and a green side salad. It came w/(2) squaw bread loaves and butter. While it states Feeds (4), I SAY it’ll feed (8) EASILY!! Just add a bag of salad to the portion they gave you and you have a full meal for under $100 that feeds (8)!! The portions are so big and I had a ton of leftovers because I only fed (3). We ate on it all week!! Good choice and soooo delicious!”

“Stopped here while I'm visiting the town. I sampled their English Toffee ice cream. That's a winner if you can have nuts. Big chunks of toffee. Got a pint of that. They only sell pints in their special plastic containers so it's a bit pricey but you only live once. If I was going to eat it right away I would have just purchased a cone which seemed like the best deal. I also bought one of each flavor of chews they make. They do sell them individually. 8 in total. Though they do have 3 Sugar free ones too. I loved the Caramel and the Peanut Butter the best. Peppermint a close 3rd. Then, in their freezer section they do carry containers of half gallon ice cream but those do not fit in my RV freezer unfortunately, As well as, frozen bananas covered in chocolate and some in nuts and have Dubai Chocolate bars filled with Pistachio ice cream. Those sounded better than they were. The pistachio ice cream wasn't very flavorful. It's one of my favorite flavors of ice cream too so I had high expectations. And for $10.25. Just not worth it at all. So, that was a bummer. So all and all would recommend coming here for a cone or sundae and some chews if you're into that.”

Surprisingly, the quality of the food is authentically Thai and Chinese. Kee, the owner is a Chinese from Thailand and owns 3 branches in Las Vegas and other cities too. The service is excellent! and the facilities are very clean.”

Good size steak medallions in a super fresh bed of lettuce and assorted veggies including tomatoes and beets with home made blue cheese dressing. Our daughter who almost never finishes any of her meals consumed most of her taco salad which was a generous serving. She couldn’t stop telling us how good it was! Papa had the very flavorful ground beef tacos with a side of perfectly seasoned potato salad. We ordered a side of carne asada tacos which were a little on the dry and salty side. Although the place was very busy our server was very attentive and recommended their Ribeye special on Thursdays…so, we made it out again tonight to celebrate our anniversary. We both had the amazing ribeye special and boy was it special! Salad was once again so fresh and tasty. The baked potato and sweet potato fries were melt in your mouth yum. The rolls were toasted yet so tender. The steaks were seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection. No need for any condiments on these steaks. We thought it would be good but not that good! Salute to the outstanding chefs! Our server Jasmine was also very attentive and made us feel at home. We ate in the newly extended covered patio which was very inviting but could use better lighting on the outskirts of the patio. We are looking forward to trying the fish Friday specials including shrimp tacos next! Thank you Ethel’s for the outstanding service and for serving up heartwarming meals!”

“There are some really good things to share with you and unfortunately, quite a bit of bad. Starting with an awkward arrival process, service went downhill fast and stayed there - earning a 10% tip. Upon arrival, the hostess seemed flustered and instead of leading us to our table, she pointed where to go and said she would be there to bring "um, uh, umm" and I completed the sentence with - MENUS. "Yes, menus". They were brought promptly. Putting a drink order in......well, that wasn't so prompt. We both ordered iced tea, one regular and one raspberry. They were served to us reversed. Both of us got a surprise drink before swapping glasses. From time of order to food delivery was good and eggs were nice, hot and freshly cooked. Once the food was dropped off, we would never see our server again. There would be no checking to see if we needed anything or ask how the food tasted so far. We had to flag down another server for refills and to ask for butter. A third person handled the transaction with her iPad. She was walking by and noticed us sitting there with empty plates and glasses. Very disappointing service - start to finish. The Food: The chili verde omelette was fantastic and better than some of our other breakfast faves. The fruit was also very fresh. The chicken fried steak premade and fried - not dredged and breaded on premise. The hash browns are not made with fresh potatoes grated on premise like most top breakfast spots. These potatoes are rehydrated and fried. In an oddity, I chose a biscuit as my bread choice and that usually includes gravy. This was served as - just a biscuit. No jelly, no butter, no gravy. The food was good enough that we'll return and try again.”

“extremely poor service. my boys were at a birthday party and it took an hour just to get drinks, at that they warm bottled drinks. then it took another hour or longer to get food. no one ever walked up to them for 45 min. and was not even a busy night not very many other customers their. never came back to refill. the drinks. extremely unacceptable service. it is sad when you can get better service and food from a food truck than an actual restaurant. not sure where to leave star rating but it would be -⭐”

“This is my favorite coffee shop. They also sell at the weekend farmer's markets at Centennial high school and Haggin Oaks/Ming Ave. The staff are very friendly and the coffee is the best. Different flavors and holiday inspired recipes. Sometimes, in store, they sell homemade pastries!”

“The food is delicious, the service is phenomenal, and the atmosphere is nice.

My favorite is the spicy chicken bowl with fried rice and veggies. It's got a nice kick without being too spicy. I usually get the regular sized bowl and it is a great value. I haven't tried the sides yet but I'm looking forward to trying the egg rolls and pot stickers.

The cashiers/servers are always friendly and seem to be in a good mood. Props to management for keeping their employees happy. One of the cashiers even remembers my favorite order and my name. It makes ordering faster. The employees always seem to keep busy: if they're not at the register or running food out to a table they're busy with cleaning.

The atmosphere is nice, but my only complaint would be how small the dining room is. There are only a few tables and they're pretty close together so it's kinda hard to navigate. It's always very nice and clean in there though. I haven't had to use the restroom yet but I assume they keep it clean also. I'll update after my next visit (probably tonight, yum). It's usually not that busy so you can usually find a table available. There's a free parking lot right out front and I've never had an issue looking for a spot.

Overall I highly recommend this place. Delicious, friendly, clean, and convenient. You can't beat that!”

“Beat pizza place in Bakersfield I’ve been to. Noteworthy: nice counter girl, fantastic crispy pizza with even portioned toppings and not greasy, clean fun atmosphere, punching bag game. Will definitely go back and highly recommend the Mckinley Combo pizza and Mountain Fries (potato wedges). I like how they leave the boxes by the counter where u can grab one if needed.”

“If you LOVE chilaquiles then this place is for you! It’s a small food truck.

My husband ordered the chilaquiles plate w/ chipotle sauce, asada meat, 2 sunny side eggs & the toppings they offer minus cilantro & he really loved it he said it was the right amount of spice without over doing it.

Now they do offer tacos & tortas as well but I would stay clear of ordered just a torta as it doesn't have any spread nor the bread to meat ratio is way off. I felt like I was eating more bread than anything else. My mom got 2 tacos & she also said they were okay for the most part. So that's why I would just recommend the chilaquiles since my husband seem to enjoy his meal the most.

Besides the food, they do have a little shop where you can sit and eat, it's small but it will do. When we went it wasn't busy so there was room for us to sit & also it felt nice inside not hot at all. The food did take some time to get to us but they had the tv going and our conversation with each other flowing we didn't notice how long it took.

Anyways if we're back would be just for the chilaquiles but might be awhile until we're back as we're not usually on that side of town.”

“Just moved in the neighborhood and love that I have this sweet donut shop for these early foggy morning! Love the ham, cheese, jalapeño croissant and the donuts were light, fluffy but the maple bars are definitely hubs favorite! Every neighborhood needs a good donut shop - this one is it!!”

“Food is great! Homemade corn tortillas and fresh meats. We had a carnitas, a pollo and 2 asada tacos. Their street taco size is about double the size of others, so the $3.99 per taco is ok. Good salsas but watch out for the bright red one 🔥.”
