“I worked t Pioneer Chicken #1 on Echo Park as a cook, prep, and last as a manager for 13 years . I never got tired of eating Pioneer Chicken. I always go to Soto and Whittier location“

“It was hard to find the restaurant because it was in the back corner of a business complex. It's very easy to miss, but there's plenty of parking at least. Me and 2 friends ordered from the kiosk and waited about 15m for 3 sandwiches and fries. Inside it's quite small with only a table and bar with 4 seats each.

I got the Signature Sandwich with LVL 2 sauce. The sandwich was massive, and the chicken was so thick, incredibly juicy, and perfectly cooked. The breading and cabbage were crunchy too. The mayo was a creamy complement to the chicken without being overpowering. The spicy sauce was served on the side, and it was so deliviously flavorful and not only spicy. My only complaint here is that I wish there was more spicy sauce and that it was spread inside the sandwich, because I kept forgetting to drizzle sauce on between bites and still ran out.

The salt and vinegar fries tasted exactly like the Lay's flavor but with more potato from the fries, of course. Honestly the fries were nothing special but they gave so much that the box was overflowing.

I tried my friend's Kimchi Egg Sandwich too. The ham was pretty forgettable or missable, but the egg was delicious. The egg was incredibly moist, sweet, and delicately salty, and it paired well with the mild acidity of the kimchi.

We chatted with the owner a bit when we picked up our food and she was very sweet and kind. She made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. I hope more people check this place out, because it's unfortunately very missable in its current location. I'm going to come back but will definitely share a sandwich next time.“

“Had the $80 fish sandwich with caviar. It was so good. A bit spicy I'm not one for spicy stuff but it was very tasty. I said I was leaving tomorrow and was really excited to try it out it had been on my list for over a year. The chef was really nice he let me try one of the chicken tenders on the house and it was a little spicier bit still really good amd extremely juicy. It's a refreshing pace from some of the other restaurants in the area that don't have good customer service. I really appreciate yall amd the great food you topped off a great trip to LA.“

“Went to this spot because I use to go to the one in Cypress that closed, this spots in a strip mall with various other places, the location was outdated and looks like it was some kind of eatery before they had a big display case that was unused there was no seating in the location so dining in is out of the question. I ordered the 4 pease chicken meal 2 breasts and 2 thighs, the chicken could have been cleaner there was extra skin just left in the peases when they were cooked, I don't mind the ribs being on a chicken breast but not removing it from the carcass isn't good enough for me. My sister ordered some fish and shrimp and some gizzards no problem there nicely done overall the food was good, with a few changes this place would be amazing

“I first visited Dave's Hot Chicken three years ago when I worked at Ontario Airport and quickly became a regular customer. Since then, I changed airport locations and was thrilled to hear they were building one outside Lakewood Mall. My wife had never tried it, so I took her there for lunch. I ordered Dave's #1 meal for her, which included two tenders with fries, a slice of bread, pickles, and Dave's sauce. I chose the Hot heat level for her and a regular drink. The total amount came to $19.64, including a $2 tip. It may seem a little pricey, but the tenders are a decent size, and the flavor is fantastic. The ambiance on a Monday afternoon was calm and relaxing, making it an excellent spot for lunch. The employees provided superb customer service, and my order was ready within 10 minutes. The restaurant also has a patio section if you wish to eat outside. My wife enjoyed her meal but thinks she will order it at a medium spice level next time. We will be back soon.“

“Nice little place for Hainin Chicken and Rice and many other dishes like Black Pepper Beef and Fried Chicken. The service and very good the staff are very friendly. There are a few table for seating inside and outside.

“Wow, this place is beyond amazing. You can tell the make the food with love. My team from work decided to order the family pack for someones birthday- with 5 chicken rotisserie/ all cut up and grilled to perfection. The sides such as beans, nopale salad, pico de gallo, hot sauce( green/red), macaroni. Everyone enjoyed this place and they have the best customer service. I had to leave a tip because of how great the service and food was. It really exceeded my expectations. Come here for some delicious Mexican food, its worth every penny!“

They do not do the Unlimited Mimosa drinks with brunch at this location which is not a problem because they have the kit for $30 and you can just be pouring up without having to ask for a refill. Wait time was nonexistent when I came.

Chicken was moist and the spice level (medium) was good.

Customer service and ambience were great.

Nashville chicken snobs will dismiss this place and claim Howlin rays is soooo much better. But, I’ll counter with the wait times and just the overall hype factor. It’s not all that.

Weigh your options, and availability. Don’t just follow the hype train.

“This place is delicious but being a fatass I like everything. The quality of their chicken is great, moist, flavorful with the option of hotness. But the toast may end up burnt unfortunately. The wait time is usually 5-6 minutes but worth it since it’s being prepared fresh. The prices can be a tad pricey for a family of 5 but worth it for the quality and convenience. The cons is the wait time if you’re in a hurry 9.1/10 get the tenders you won’t be disappointed“

“I should have taken a picture of the food, and I usually do, but we dug right in. The salsa with the pillos is super fire. There is a hint of spice to it, but the flavor is amazing. The next day, I took the leftover to work in my heated lunch pale and mixed the salsa and beans in it, and made a dish that was smackin.“

Parking: There’s plenty of parking when you can’t find street parking go to the back of steel craft there’s parking lot there and also plenty of parking by City Library of course a little walk but it’s worth it! There’s also parking across the street behind the business there too there’s another parking lot ?️ like I said just a little walk but definitely worth enjoying what Bellflower has to offer with all it’s restaurants so close by.
