“Great tacos! The buche, carnitas, and cabeza were all really good (and large/meaty). Each one had a different delightful texture but cabeza was my favorite.... so tender! Fresh salsa bar and free chips are a huge plus. Also the free deep fried jalapenos was a nice touch. Next time I've gotta tried that awesome looking giant fried fish plate.“

“Food is fantastic! I usually order a super burrito and it has never disappointed. Meat is cooked to perfection, rice and beans are always delicious, their salsa is very spicy and very good! I'll definitely change it up next time I go, but they have been very consistent every time I go.

Service is okay, not the best, as some of the seem shy or embarrassed to talk. But not rude by any means. They at least offer chips, water, etc.

“I always come here on Mondays when I work in San Carlos. One of the best burritos and quesadillas I ever tried so far. The portions are huge, barely can finish it. “My son and I YELPED for Mexican food.Good Mexican Food, and decided to give this place a try. I had the Spicy Shrimp Plate, and my son had the Steak and Spicy Prawns. They also provide Tortilla Chips and a Salsa Bar. The guy who cooked our food, knows how to cook! My shrimp was absolutely a balance of green/red peppers, onions, in a slightly sweet, savory and mildly spicy sauce. The Rice was done just right(not dried out).The Black Beans, were tender, with just the right amount of salt. The Iceberg lettuce and sliced radish was cold, fresh and crispy— Served with a dollop of sour cream, avocado sauce; a slice of tomato and sprinkle of Mexican cheese top the salad - it did a nice job to balance the heat of the main course. Everything was well executed. The overall indoor atmosphere is very clean, simple and no frills. Love their neon menu signage. And, their prices are reasonable. Thank you for the delicious meal. “Fantastic. We’re here from out of town and chose to eat here based on the reviews for good tacos. As we approached the restaurant my brother stared, “oh it looks like a house. This is going to be good,” and he was right. This is now our 3rd time eating lunch here in 8 days. First 2 trips we enjoyed the street tacos and today we ordered the torta. Can’t go wrong with any of the meet selections but my favorite is the al pastor.

We’ll be back to Palo Alto and that means coming back to Taqueria La Cazuela. Thank you for the great food and wonderful experience.“

Then I drove from Oakley to San Mateo to have them fresh. It was AMAZING! They provide extra stuff to add to the tacos, but it honestly didn’t need them. The meat was so tender & flavorful that I had to close my eyes so I could fully appreciate the taste. Then I added the extras one by one & it tasted like a new taco each time. I know it seems like I’m exaggerating, but it’s really that good! My only wish is that they had seating nearby & a second location closer to Oakley.“

“The restaurant has a really fun vibe, we enjoyed the tacos, drinks and chips and salsa. Service was exceptional. The creamy tomato spaghetti in the kids menu was a surprising option considering it’s a Mexican place but it was really comforting and we enjoyed it as well.

The only disappointing part was Flan which was hard and overcooked and the prices being on the higher side for what we got. But it’s a fun place and we’ll be back for the food we enjoyed!“

“We were visiting friends and decided to eat here. Its a great little gem. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable and the sever was great. The food didnt take long at all. The place was clean and not too loud.
I noticed quite a bit of locals here which is always a good thing.
I dont know about parking as we took a Waymo here.
I had the enchiladas with green sauce with an extra taco. My wife had the really big burrito. I was able to eat all mine, which was the perfect amount and my wife had to take half the burrito home.
Overall well worth a visit of you like no fuss great food.“

“Used to go here basically every Thursday for dinner (I have a class Thursday night and it was easier), and every single time I went there it was incredible. The portions are incredibly generous, the food itself is an 11/10, and authentic too! Staff are incredibly kind, and even got to know me and my parents after a while. I miss going there, I’ll try and support them again.

P.S. They give free chips and salsa with every order if you remember to pick them up! Don’t forget about those!“

And though one doesn't normally expect anything special from counter order service, here the staff is always kind, attentive and generous with servings.

They serve it in tacos or as a stew in a bowl to which you can add the salsa, onion, cilantro and lime. In addition they provide hand made tortillas which is the best way to have it. With great service and ambiance it no wonder people keep coming back for more.“

“I LOVE elote, so when we drove my Maizz I was excited and came back a week later hungry. I didn't know what to order since everything is essentially elote flavored. I went with the traditional corn on the cob (elote stick). It was covered in deliciousness, but it got all over my face as I ate it. Not a date food. My husband got the carne asada smothered elote fries. The fries were a undercooked, but the meat was delicious as we're all the flavorings. We also got to try the deep fried corn ribs, and those were my favorite.“
