“Their onigiri is really good! I’m not always in the mood for spam, but they have plenty of options without spam too, and I haven’t had anything I haven’t liked yet. They partner with several delivery services and their food always is packed well and is ready quickly for the drivers. Definitely recommend!“

“I was hesitant to come back after I had a bad experience a year ago before they rebranded; which a lot of the older reviews reflect. VERY happy to say that they've improved significantly, I got the five spice chicken with an iced coffee and both are fantastic. Meat tastes great and the bread is perfect. Worth giving them another shot if you started avoiding this place like I did before.
Friendly staff too.“

“Very delicious authentic Asian cuisine. The pork and duck combo were magnificent. The owner/operator is super nice. Hong Kong ice milk tea is a great sipper on a hot day. I'm not sure about seating, but I took it to go, so it wasn't an issue. Very reasonable prices.“

“I got the gan-jang beef bowl for $16.53 after tax. I think the beef flavor was good, but the beef texture itself was inconsistent. There were tender/fatty portions, but parts of the beef were quite tough & hard to chew. It came with a soft boiled egg, rice, sesame, and seaweed flakes.
They charge $2.50 extra for kimchi. I feel like if you order the meal without kimchi, it lacks veggies & something to help you finish the rice. If you were to compare that experience to sit-down korean restaurants with free kimchi/banchan, it’s stingier. I would feel better paying this price if it came with kimchi, which seems like a necessary part of the meal.
The owner was nice enough to offer me extra beef/free kimchi as a one-time service, and I took him up on that.“

“Asaka is a friendly neighborhood sushi bar and Japanese restaurant and I enjoyed dinner very much. They were extremely polite and courteous, very good service and food is served quickly.
The restaurant is decorated nicely and has a charming feel to it. Not overly modernized yet a modern feel. Yet also a cozy sushi bar feel. Well done!
Three of us had a couple bento boxes and a nigiri and sashimi combo. Dinner requires three item bento, and the tempura was the star. Nicely battered and fried just right. Chicken teriyaki was chicken teriyaki, if you know what I mean. The California rolls were good… they go the extra mile and mince the imitation crab as opposed to some places that just slice a little chunk. And the spicy tuna roll was not really spicy but tasty enough.
The sashimi and nigiri were very fresh and decently portioned. I prefer smaller and higher quality, which is what they served. They could go a little hotter on the wasabi. Theirs was mild.
And of course miso soup and salad with that sesame dressing I love. Fun meal, great place.“

Vegetarian options: vegetarian options available
Dietary restrictions: vegetarian options available, but it is an asian restaurant so dont expect a whole bunch of options for dietary restrictions like Kosher, vegan, nut free etc
Parking: located on the corner of a street, a couple of parking spots available
Kid-friendliness: kid friendly but a lot of spicy dishes
Wheelchair accessibility: not wheelchair accessible, need to go up stairs“

“Food is great ! Service is so so . They did forget a dish and were a bit slow even after the happy hour rush ended . They brought the bill before asking whether we wanted dessert ( we did ) this time and the last time we came . Still I’d go back as the food is too good!“

“They have great Tso's and had the best pork fried rice a year ago, this visit it had less flavor but whatever seed oil they use to fry has good character. I'll be back, maybe it was just a bad batch. And it wasn't bad, just lacking.“

“This was my first visit, and since it was a rainy day, I decided to try their pho. There’s something comforting about a warm bowl of soup on a cold, wet day. The soup had a rich, deep flavor that was enjoyable, but not remarkable. For comparison, my favorite pho spot is still Pho Vi Hoa in Palo Alto, which I feel has more balanced and complex flavors.
Ordering here was straightforward. You place your order at the counter, and the staff delivers your food to the table. The service was efficient and friendly, which added to the overall experience.
For starters, I ordered A2: Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls. They were fresh, light, and paired well with the accompanying peanut dipping sauce. As for the main dish, I went with the Rare Steak Pho, adding extra noodles for $2. While the broth and rare steak were satisfying, I realized the portion of noodles was already quite generous without the extra. If you’re someone with a hearty appetite, you’ll likely find the regular portion sufficient.
Next time, I’ll skip the extra noodles and focus on the base dish. It’s a solid spot for a comforting bowl of pho, but I’d still rank it below my go-to pho spot in Palo Alto.“

“Amazing. We got the seafood gyoza and the sauce it came with just made it that much better. Get it crispy. So good worth the longer wait. We also got the BBQ pork Bao. We thought those were good, and they were, but the gyoza's were so much better. Try them for yourself.“

“I had Pra Ram with chicken and Chicken Satay. It was absolutely delicious. What I appreciate it most is that they gave plenty of peanut sauce. A lot of Thai restaurants skimp on the sauce, but not this one. I also enjoyed the authentic environment of the restaurant. The restroom left something to be desired in the way of cleanliness, but I didn't let it take away from my enjoyment of this experience.“

“Cute little restaurant. We ordered cucumber salad, bbq chicken set and bbq char siu set. Everything tastes so good. Very very high food quality. A lot of flavors. The spicy and numbing cucumber salad is the BEST I have had in the US. Not exaggerating.
It’s counter service and they have discounts for cash. Staff is very friendly. Great neighborhood restaurant for everyday eats. Would come back again when we are in Berkeley next time.“
