“Better Buzz never misses! This location in particular is super busy but the staff does their best to get you in and out of there as quickly as possible. They are always super friendly and helpful, especially with drink recommendations. The food and drinks are ALWAYS delicious. My fave is the Iced Chai with oat milk and two shots of espresso! My go-to breakfast order is the Better Breakfast Sandwich. Chef’s kiss! 😘 Shoutout, Anthony! You da best!“

“The best apple fritters in the area. I actually weigh them with my digital scale and they stay consistent with the weight. Compared to other places that use more sugar the ratio of dough to glaze is good here at least for my taste. The cashiers have always been friendly.“

“Im here almost every day due to the proximity, however, the service has slowed down a little since the push to using the app, the inside order screens, and I'm thinking less employees per shift. I even see the managers having to pitch in to help more. I'm estimating I've been idling in this drive thru for over 20 minutes even though there were only a handful of cars ahead of me.“

“In a city where coffee is mediocre and the shops are performative, Saigon Coffee stands among the few offering truly delicious selections. I ordered their original and was delighted and how bold and rich the flavor is. As someone who suffers from phlegm coughs, the drink gave me no such issue.“

“Oh my goodness- the food at this coffee house is so good. We ordered the “Signature Breakfast Sandwich” , the 2 Scone w/ flight of 6 Butter Sampler and a Vanilla Latte. The total bill came to $31 (not bad for the quality of food and drink). The breakfast sandwich was flavorful (bacon, egg, cheese and sauce). The bread was toasted to perfection and the house chipotle aioli sauce added an excellent touch. The butter for the scones were out of this world delicious; scones were baked perfectly. A+ is the score I’d give to this establishment.“

“AMAZING!! My husband and I went to San Diego for a quick getaway and wanted to try Chiefy Cafe based on the reviews. We were so glad we did as the coffee and food is Amazing! We ordered the Open Mind Fat Burner, Mexicano Latte, Acai Bowl, and Turkey Bacon Avocado Croissant. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious - we wanted to savor every bite!! The staff is so friendly and Camile customized the Turkey Bacon Avo without the bread for me, as I am gluten free. We only had 2 days left in SD and went back to Chiefy Cafe and ordered the same thing each day. Camile & Larissa assisted us and were awesome! HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHIEFY CAFE!!“

Ordered an espresso and a cortado of their Anaerobic Natural Costa Rica Black Diamond this morning, and the whole order was absolutely delicious it hit all the flavor notes! Torque Coffee is the place to go if you’re looking for a specialty espresso or pour-over. Shoutout to Michelle & Taylor, who show such care and attention to detail that’s rare to find it truly comes through in both the taste and presentation (they even preheat the SPRO cup if you’re ordering in-house!). It’s easy to see why Torque is a neighborhood favorite — I always look forward to my next visit!“

“If you are looking for quality coffee, service and atmosphere this is your place.
I waited outside with a group of friends for 15/20 minutes before they opened the door for us. Once seated, not only did they make it clear but encouraged us to take our time, enjoy the space and the drinks. We spent 3hrs spending quality, undistracted time with each other. The coffee, matcha and avo toasts we ordered were exceptional.

The atmosphere made the experience feel intentional. Not once did I wonder “where is my coffee or server…” or felt like we were being rushed out.

This was THE BEST San Diego coffee AND restaurant experience I’ve had in years.

“I went to this cafe restaurant as part of a Meetup with an international group. There were 13 of us and the owner, Jordan, is also the chef so I am impressed with how she was able to serve our group efficiently on her own! Her daughter was the waitress and patient with all of us. I ordered the fish sandwich, that was so delicious! The tilapia fish and potato slices were both warm, the bread was toasted, and the veggies fresh. Portion is generous and price is decent. Was lovely to meet the owner when she introduced herself to our group, and you can tell she works hard living her dream of opening this East African cuisine restaurant.“

We absolutely LOVE their bagels (they are heavenly and actually give you a good amount of cream cheese!)I love the look of their merch, my only complaint is that we visit yearly, every single year I try to get merch and they are always “sold out” 😔 I dunno how everything is always sold out every-time I ask the last 8 years. Online they tend to be sold out as well the few times I have looked. It is such a dang bummer. I’d love to support with wearing merch.
