I had the gluten free chicken pesto and my hubby had the gluten free turkey deluxe sandwich.
First things first, we are visiting from the Midwest and we do not have GF focaccia bread!
Their bread was so soft, delicious, and unbelievable. I had to question if my order was prepared GF! My chicken pesto sandwich was absolutely delicious and my hubby enjoyed his as well. You know when it’s so quiet you can hear a pin drop? That’s exactly how our table was as we sat outside and devoured our sandwiches! The young men inside were very kind and provided great customer service as well. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a delicious sandwich and you need GF preparation.“

“Probably the best deli in San Diego. My wife and I have gone here a few times and the sandwiches blow us away every time. The service is top notch. Mr.RayRay is a really nice guy and I've never seen somebody take so much pride in making sandwiches. Each sandwich he makes is a piece of culinary art. 10/10 recommend. Must try.“

“Went in to grab a sandwich and sides for picnic, and found a very well stocked convenience store with a fantastic deli. I had the California club on wheat, my friend got a wrap and we grabbed chips and sodas. The sandwiches were huge! So full of thinly sliced meats and fresh veggies. All tables were taken so wandered down to park bench in the shade. The sandwiches will definitely bring me back! Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend.“

“Easily the best sandwich shop in all of SD!!! While you and I might make sandwiches at home, none of us is making a Peperone Rosso. All their Sicilian sandwiches are made on freshly baked schiacciata bread. My choice, the Peperone Rosso balances unctuous salami with peppery arugula, roasted cherry tomato, creamy stracciatella cheese, Pesto di pistachio, and red pepper cream.
I can't wait to go soon and try their other offerings.“

“FYI…description for Philly cheesesteak reflects turkey sandwich on website site so I mistakenly ordered Philly but wanted the turkey. I normally wouldn’t order the Philly but it was yummy. Definitely recommend and look forward to trying the turkey next time.“

“Ok this place makes a legit Vietnamese banh mi (sandwich). From the outside it looks like a hole in the wall but DAM...they make some bomb ass sandwiches! The bread is crunchy and fresh! The pickled veggies are balanced and the butter mayo is smooth. Peppers are cut kinda thick. The #1 and #8 sandwiches are very well done. Guess I need to try #2-7 next time.
You come here for the yummy sandwich! It's cash only because it's an old school shop. Get you food and go somewhere to enjoy it. Simple shop, best to call your order in if you've got a big order...be patient it's a one man show. Get it before the old guy dies with his secret recipe!“

“I came here because I drove by and seen Subs. The place is clean and has a few seats. The server was kind and took my order right away. I got an Italian sub. It took less than 10 minutes to get my order. I got it cold , it was very delicious. Nice size sub. I should have told them to warm the bread. I forgot. But I will definitely be back.“

“Cifredo and the staff at this location are always welcoming, and this is probably my favorite subway ever. The hours are amazing (as someone who works nights) and I always meet the coolest people here at like 2am. I wish every subway was like this one.

“I lived in Mission Beach yrs ago & in Old Mission was a Jersery Sub Shop & I have looked & looked all over S.D. for one that would be as good & I finally found Jersery Mikes. The first one I went to was in Merritta the other side of Temecula then when I came back to El Cajon I found the one on Broadway. haven't tried the one in Rancho S.D. yet ,I'm sure going to next time I'm over that way. So far they have been the closest to the one in Mission Beach. OK!“

Update: I had the Chipotle Chicken Wrap today & it was bomb. It was more actual chipotle flavor not a chipotle mayo which I loved & I got full so I can't wait to try more on the menu.
Update: I tried the Garibaldi Bagel and it was so delicious, very filling. I was even like skeptical because I wasn't sure how I would like it but for some reason I just knew like when I read the ingredients that maybe it could hit and boy did it! So good, I love the flavors of this place.“

We didn't feel like cooking, and we didn't feel like getting ready for a sit-down meal anywhere, so we agreed to visit Jersey Mike's because the #13 Mike's Way + pepper relish always hits!!! If you know, you know.
There are 3 Jersey Mike's just about evenly spaced distance wise from our house, so I just picked this location because for some reason we had never visited this store. I'm happy we did. It wasn't crowded or busy, it was extremely clean and the gal that helped us was a sweetheart.
She made a perfect #13 with a good ratio of veggies/dressing/spices and asked if we had any loyalty points we would like to use before giving me the total price. Very polite and professional. I wish I had gotten her name so I could give her credit.
This will be our go-to store wherever we decide on Mike's again! Great Job.“
