“This most positive, heart warming experience I ever had at a restaurant! Super kind and personable! All people and businesses owners should take note on how to treat their customers! With great customer service came fantastic sandwiches! Without a doubt, we will be costumers for life! Looking forward to trying more sandwiches! Deena (sp) thank you for treating us like “family”!“
“Large portions. Friendly staff. Food is pretty dang good. Prices APPEAR to be a bit high due to the neighborhood, but portion easily gave me 2 meals. Well worth it. Huge portions!I came there with 2 hungry coworkers. We all left with extra in boxes for later. I happily recommend this place, straight up.Owner was part of the staff during our lunch. Great guy, very much "on it".Complaints: parking is a hot commodity in this neighborhood. Not their fault! Lol!! (Or is it? Hard to deny how many people like this place!)In short? This place has become a "go to" for many in a very short time. This "up and comer" is getting VERY popular for good reason!Dietary restrictions: Keto friendly in a heartbeat. Diabetic friendly same. I had multiple options, and I'm surprised at the options available.“
“Was craving a true deli sandwich and this didn't disappoint. Went for The Gaslamp (minus tomato) and it's massive, delicious and hit the spot. Slightly drippy/messy so grab extra napkins. I think I accidentally got extra meat as the ~$13 sandwich ended up being ~$15.50 after taxes and a 'surcharge' which I guess was for using a credit card? Not very busy on a Thursday before noon, one woman making the sandwiches. She was helpful, pleasant and put a smile on my face. The market sells some groceries, snacks, alcohol...“
“This place was very unassuming but the sandwiches were great! Literally a hole in the wall with great food which are our favorite places to stop for lunch. As I was standing there I noticed the smell of freshly cooked bacon which made me more hungry. They had creative choices and a lot of them. The deli meats and toppings tasted fresh and the sandwiches were nicely crafted. All our sandwiches were spot on. To top it all off the service was very friendly. If you are looking for a quick lunch for the family check this place out!“
“This place is a GEM! Fantastic selection of domestic and imported cheeses, drinks, snacks. They have a lot of locally made gourmet foods available. Great craft beer and wine (local and imported) selection. It's located close to Pure Project and I recommend getting food here first. They have a fantastic and reasonably price deli inside with tons of food options all prepared fresh. You can tell this place is a neighborhood staple.“
“My favorite bahn mi place in the Chula Vista/National City area. Run by a sweet family and their bahn mi always hit the spot especially for the price. You can even see them make your sandwich as the kitchen is easily seen from the front. My favorites are the crispy pork belly (heo quay) and the grilled pork (thit nuong). Much love to this place and I hope they continue to serve our community with fresh bahn mi :)))“
“Ordered a hot Pastrami, no lettuce, add mayo, and easy on the peppercinis. It was fabulous. I absolutely love their fresh toasted bread and they don't skimp on the pastrami. We've also had the Italian and the Po'Boy. Both were good, but we're definitely addicted to the Hot Pastrami.“
“Really tasty banh mi! I got the dac biet and boy do they pack in the meat. My wife got the vegetarian (chay) banh mi which comes with a juicy vegetarian meat loaf which she said was delicious. Not much to say about the store front but the quality is in the sandwich.“
“This place has great subs, especially the hot pastrami. The pizza is great too! The dough is so good, the sauce tastes great, fresh ingredients and they always use A LOT of cheese. Definitely one of my go-to spots for comfort food. I went for breakfast once and it was very good with big portions, Im just not a morning person. I typically call ahead and pick up, they get me in and out quick.“
“My favorite sandwiches in town. Great food and great service. Very friendly!Vegetarian options: Lots of options to make a vegetarian sandwich without meats. Great options. Got one for my dad wh0 is vegetarian.Parking: Many many spots available, though you may have to walk a bit.Kid-friendliness: Kids options and very friendly.“
“There is this story of Leonardo da Vinci where he drew a perfect circle freehand to demonstrate his mastery. That's how I feel about this spot. The sandwiches don't try to distract you with gimmickry. They are timeless perfection. A harmonious blend of flavors; just pure excellence. I never get tired of turning people on to one of my favorite hidden gems in San Diego. The owners are lovely, service is great and the patio is the perfect spot to take a break on a perfect San Diego day.“
“As fast food sandwich shops go this one clearly stands out from the rest. The crew that made my sandwich was extremely fast and they didn't skim on the meat that went in it. They got through 15 or so people in under 5 minutes I was actually amazed. The sandwiches are top quality and the bread is always extremely fresh. This Jersey Mike's is a definite go to.“
“So good! Reminds me of old family owned delis back home. You can’t beat the service and atmosphere here. The food is great, people are nice and the rootbeer selection is pretty fun! Always enjoy grabbing a sandwich on a busy day.Dietary restrictions: Pretty easy to customize your sandwich to accommodate anything. It’s all made to order.Parking: Street parking and an adjacent lot. I’ve never had an issue getting a spot close by.“
“Gaglione's cheesesteaks are (obviously) the best in San Diego. My mom's from Philly and I've been many times, and I still think Gaglione's makes the best cheesesteak I've ever had. It's a fairly small shop but the vibes are great, you're greeted with smiles and hellos when you walk in and the staff is just awesome. I wish I could remember the name of the gal who took our order (Feb 29 around 1pm?), she was just so sweet and helpful. She even came outside to bring us our food because we're not the brightest apparently and didn't realize we could not hear the orders being yelled out from outside. One of my favorite places to eat in San Diego and I will always recommend it!!“
“Been going here for years and the new location made it that much better. Tons of seating and a huge bar. My recommended sandwich is the Cali mist if you can handle a little spice. Devin, Kiana, Danny and Hunter are the best bar tenders IMO but generally the service is always great no matter who you get.“
“I always forget how good this place is for some reason. They knock it out of the park with really tasty, really creative sandwiches and salads. It’s sooo overpriced but it’s a solid treat every once in a while. Note that it is a bit slower than other places in the area, so make sure have about 10 mins to wait for your food after you order. If you have the time, it’s worth it. Also - get the pomegranate mint lemonade. If you’re already paying for the lunch, you won’t regret spending a bit more on that killer lemonade. Highly recommend all around.Dietary restrictions: Excellent gluten-free sandwich bread- not crumbly or dry.“
“Tasty subs that cost $2 more than I thought they were worth. They don't have any bread options other than white or wheat, so be ready for that - one customer stormed out in a huff about it. I opted for a wrap instead of a sandwich, and it was tasty - just a bit pricy!“
“Very delicious food, I ordered a half pesto chicken sandwich with a small rainbow salad and a cup of spicy Thai camore soup. The soup is delicious, it's for a limited time so try it before they take it away. The small salad is too small but since it accompanies the half sandwich it is understandable.Everything rich.Parking: The restaurant is inside the shopping center so parking is ample but it depends on how busy it is if you will find a place nearby or not.“
“Got the Mediterranean Bowl with tofu via delivery app. They know how to make a vegetarian dish that's for sure. Sour and salty dish well balanced with sweet potatoes and different textures. Not just healthy but tasty. Highly recommended.Vegetarian options: Meatless bowls and tofu as the protein option.“
“It's an unassuming shop that has a good variety of banh mis (sandwhiches) among other typical Vietnamese Deli selections. The sandwhiches were pretty good and fairly priced. They definitely hit the spot when you've got that craving! The staff is very friendly, if a little bit sparse. They do work quickly to get yoru order prepared. I liked their selection of banh mis, they've got the classics and few others for the uninitiated. The bread was great, crunchy exterior and soft on the inside. The shop isn't much, but if you're there for a quick bite it's not that much of a factor - cause all you want is that banh mi flavor! Would return to grab another bite!“
“Just WOW!! Been going to this place for some time already and i got to say by far the best place for tortas in san diego!!. Customer service is great and prices are very good compare to other places ive been to in SD. My personal favorite is la rica torta with panela cheese, and their oil hot sauce is a must!!“
“I had been looking for a new sandwich spot since my favorite one closed down in Chula Vista. My brother invited me here for lunch, he's a regular. I honestly wasn't expecting much because of the location in this little plaza, but boy was I wrong! This place was a 10 out of 10 from the service to the food. It's a family owned establishment, which I love. The young man working behind the counter had a nice smile and was friendly and attentive. His name was Donovan and he had told me that the people who work there are family. You can tell by the way he treated us that he takes pride in his family's business. The sandwich he made me was one of the best sandwiches I have eaten in a long time! I ordered the California sandwich and I'm already wanting to go back to get another one. I highly recommend this spot and definitely will be back for more.“
“Tons of authentic Mexican goodies; it makes you feel like you walking into a store in Guadalajara. For example they had raspados, Tostilocos, agua fresca, ect everything taste great. To continue there prices beat what your would pay in store and the customer service is very nice and welcoming.“
“A San Diego classic. The new space has lost some of the charm, but feels much much on trend. Come for great baked goods, good sandwiches, and.... mmm those drinks! It's very busy during lunch and right as school lets out, but the turnaround is quick and the food and bev are worth it. Explore their menu and find your favorite, then explore again and find more.“
“Stopped in while getting my bike serviced near by. Very friendly staff, quick and easy to order.Everything came out promptly. Got the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel. Super tasty. Also got an Iced Coffee, it’s a darker roast than I normally prefer, but not bad.I don’t live in the area but would stop by again if I happen to be close by.Parking: The area is dead in the morning, so plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Open space concept, plenty of room for kids to wiggle.Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is flat, tables and chairs are spaced out freely, lots of room inside“
“Best deli sandwich I've ever had! Customer service is awesome. Only and minor complaint are the tables! Not stable! Need to get some new tables. Have gone almost every day since visiting here. They get crowded at lunch but they are still pretty quick.“
“The birria grilled cheese exceeded my expectation. I'm very picky with birria because not a lot of places have good flavor. The consume was good, nice hot temperature, rich in flavor. The tomato soup was a good thickness and not watery. Very good in flavor with the grilled cheese! One thing that was mid to me was the country fries because it is shredded cheese it was becoming hard and sticking to the parchment paper fast, couldn't really enjoy that but flavors were good. Definitely would be coming back to try other dishes! I'm really big on Mac n cheese so next time I'll try that.“
“My go to spot for when I need a giant pizza! This pizza is soo good! The staff is friendly and also located in the liquor store in case you need anything else. There are many giant pizza locations in San Diego but this is my favorite and go to when I have to feed a crowd. You can also sit inside and enjoy your pizza watching tv but usually I get it to go because I'm always taking it to an event or family function, definitely a place to check out.“
“Tucked away in some unassuming strip mall near a busy freeway exit, you will find this little gem of a fruteria. Handsomely-sized chamangos that seem to last forever can be accompanied by some of the tastiest tortas you'll ever have. The prices are absolutely sensible, too. Pro tip: If you ever find yourself dreading the lines and costliness at the nearby amphitheater, roll by Chango Mango beforehand. Stock up. Munch during the crawl to the venue. Enjoy the show afterwards.“
“Food, service, and ambiance are top notch! Food: -Toasted Italian sub everything on it. It was exactly how I wanted it to taste; crunchy on the outside, warm, soft, some spice and a lot of flavor. -Pastrami with the works. So flavorful and good! Service: The kind gentleman at the counter suggested the heated Italian sub and I am so glad he did! Great suggestion ( and he was wearing cool glasses) Ambiance: Located on a corner downtown makes the window watching perfect. The walls are lined with windows, there is an adorable counter to eat at as well as a few tables. The funk music playing gave this place a cool and inviting old school vibe. 90% of the sandwich patrons were in fluorescent work vests eluding that this is the local fave amongst the real people of the city! I highly recommend coming here!“
“The College Sub Shop in San Diego is an absolute gem for Italian sub enthusiasts. Not only do they serve up a delicious sub, but the prices are incredibly reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes. The quality of the ingredients is top-notch, and the flavors are simply outstanding. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone craving an authentic Italian sub that won’t break the bank. You’ll leave with a satisfied belly and a smile on your face!“
“Great sandwiches. Fresh meats, veggies and dressings. You can make your own sandwich to your liking..or select one ooff their menu. The service was welcoming and helpful on helping with sandwich to try. Inside is roomy with a few tables to eat your sandwich. No outside seating. If you're in the area, try them out.“
“We’ve been coming to Coronado for over 25 years, and we had no idea about this HIDDEN GEM! Best subs ever!! Today I tried the Orange Avenue Italian. It was only $7 for a HUGE half or $11 for the full. I couldn’t even finish half of the half! It was DELISH. I can’t wait to try the other sandwiches on our next visit.“
“Great spot for a sandwich, never had it before but I highly recommend it to anyone if your looking for a fast sandwich. The cashier has a good ability to actively listen to customers and understand their needs on how they want there sandwiches. Also let’s not forget they have great team work to get your orders right away.“
“Nestled in Chula Vista, this unassuming gem is a true haven for grilled cheese enthusiasts. From the classic comforts to gourmet delights, they serve up a diverse array of mouthwatering choices, each with its distinct flair. The cozy atmosphere and welcoming staff add to the wonderful experience. If you're in Chula Vista and seeking an exceptional grilled cheese encounter, don't miss Grater Grilled Cheese – your taste buds will sing with joy!“
“This location is a Gem! They are so much better than the one in El Cajon. They have always been curteous and accomodate requests as they make your sandwhich. Whoever is the district manager need to have these employees train the ones over there.“
“Wow this place is a hidden Gem great place to eat the food was awesome I ordered the Broadway which is grilled ham cheedar cheese melted with avocado super delicious with a side of fries I highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner...????“
“Happy to have JM's in Lemon Grove. I stopped in today and ordered two Italian subs. The staff are so curtious, professional and soooo artistic in creating the best Italian subs for me. I was greeted with kindness and asked what I wanted on the sub from start to finish. This means so much to me when customer service is the best in our community. Our young people are doing a fantastic job at JM Lemon Grove. I recommend this location to all our community residents hungry for a great Jersey Mike's Sub. Very proud to see great team work! Keep up the fantastic customer service and the best Subs. Elida“
“This place is amazingly clean. Very important! Clean floors, prep tables, all of the above. For a change, I finally found excellent customer service that came with a kind and friendly smile, in fact, the entire staff warmly greets everyone who walks in. The menu is very organized and easy to read with an assortment of savory foods. The person that attended me was Lorena and she made a delicious torta de lomo! The food was done right, on time, and excellent! The management team is on it!!! Thank you Ilyana!“
“This little store has EVERYTHING you might possibly need, like certain groceries, a deli with the best sandwiches ever, and of course the most important part: a huge selection of wine/liquor! The staff is great and friendly, and I can't ever check out at the register without purchasing some last-minute candies lol. I NEEDED those Skittles!Anyways, a shout-out to the Deli, the sandwiches are some of the best in town ?. Definitely check out this little shop if you are in the area (or even if you aren't)!“
“This Subway location stands out for its excellently packed sandwiches, offering incredible value for money. Among many Subway outlets, it's my favorite, consistently delivering friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. As a frequent Subway patron, I can confidently say this spot is top-notch, offering an amazing dining experience every time.Vegetarian options: You can pick a veggie sandwich with a ton of veggies and sauces.“
“I want to say thank you to Kyle and this location! I just came from a different location and had a very bad experience and decided I didn't need to spend my money there, drove to this location and I am VERY happy I did!Great service from Kyle! Great sandwiches! Quick service! I will be back! Thank you!Parking: Depends on time of day on availability of a quick spot“
“First timer, went in today because I was really craving some Hot Cheetos with cheese! I also bought a mango raspado and cashier suggested Tajin and Chile, said she could even bring my order to me curbside! I loved the customer service, the raspado was super refreshing and delicious. (Got a mango, tasted nothing like syrup it tasted like actual mango omg so bomb) thank you for the quick service will definitely be back! (:“
“My friend and I picked up sandwiches to go before one of the sporting events. I ordered the Menage A Trois (Halal Chicken, BBQ, Honey Mustard, Real Honey, Swiss, Pepper Jack, Cheddar). My friend and I split onion rings and mozzarella sticks. They only gave 4 mozz sticks and they were like half baked, not crispy at all or gooey. The onion rings and ranch were good but the sandwich was bomb af. The sandwich was really nice as well.“
“What a great place to order from! I needed 28 sandwiches for students for a field trip. We were able to order online a couple of days before, and I was able to pick them up at 7:45 am. So glad they open at 6! Before driving over my one concern was that in the past, the lunches were in boxes. But I was really happy that all the lunches were in bags and in a handy reusable bag! It was really simple, Blackforest ham and cheese on Italian bread, Doritos, and a chocolate chip cookie! My students were happy! I was happy! The two women who were working were friendly and cheerful and I appreciated that especially this early in the morning! I will definitely order from them again!“
“went in with my mom, was told I needed to wait for an online order to be finished, and that after that they’res one customer ahead of me. My mother and I waited, it was worth it. Sandwich was delicious, great portion size. Despite the stress of a full line and online orders Veronica was very kind. Please give her a raise or make sure she is being paid accordingly to her great service. She was working all by herself.Thank you Veronica!“
“Corner Bakery is a convenient place for lunch and breakfast in UTC. The place is a fast casual type of restaurant. There is a comfortable amount of seating (inside and outside), the food is satiating, and portions are great value. The menu has a variety of breakfast items, pastas, soups, sandwiches, salads, pastries, etc. Service is average but the card reader doesn't ask for tips. You also pick up your food at the counter once it is ready.“
“Korean corn dogs are my favorite. I've had other corn dogs here in SD and these by far are my favorite. There is something about the dough that makes it truly unique. It's hard to describe. It has like a fluffy cornmeal and pancake batter dough that is ideal for corndogs. It is more savory than sweet, which I prefer. I ordered the hot Cheetos Mozzarella and sausage. You don't really taste the spiciness from the hot Cheetos, which I wish was there since I like spicy food. I paired it with the taro bubble boba which was very smooth and creamy. I really liked the flavor. The second time I went I ordered the crème brûlée brown sugar boba which does come in two options, dairy and nondairy. I ordered the regular version with full dairy, which, in hindsight, I should have ordered the nondairy version. The milk or dairy in the crème brûlée brown sugar Boba was too strong for me. It basically tasted like milk to me. I tried to order the taro crème brûlée Boba, but they did not have that yet. I can't wait till that comes out. The service is very good. All the staff are very nice. The seating is limited so get here early to save a seat. Overall this is one of the better places for a nice Korean corndog and some Boba.“
“Happened to be walking down the street exploring downtown; saw the sign, and thought I'd give this place a shot.Entering, I was a bit confused. There was a little area to sit but no real guidance on where to order or if you're supposed to take a seat and they come to you? There were no hand held menus that didn't look like kids coloring books. Similar atmosphere to a Panera Bread but without a chain experience. To provide a little more insight on this place.Pros:-Coffee-Open seating to have a conversation-Convenient downtown location-WiFi availableCons:-No pancakes available at time I arrived, not sure if this is their signature item?-Plate/Tray cafeteria format, no direction on where to return them once you finished eating-Inconsistent consistency of salt/pepper shakers on the tables, some had them some didn't.I would say this is a place you could sit, have a conversation and some coffee if you needed someplace to meet. Could use an update as well as some better dining practices.Kid-friendliness: Has coloring books“
“Employee was super nice !! the food was grate! I came in when it was busy she was super fast even tho some customers were being super picky The only thing Is if there's only going to be only ONE employee you guys should STOP dong CURSIDE order it make them behind other then that this subway is one of the best one I been to food look fresh And the restaurant looked super clean!!“
