“This is my second time coming in with my family. Again, we loved how clean and spaced out the place was. The food was delicious as last time! This time the crab fried rice was not so salty. I appreciate how there is actual crab in the food and makes the flavors more vibrant. We ordered drunken noodles, chicken pad Thai, crab wonton, yellow curry. I tried some new things such as the crab wonton and it's about 5 pieces. In terms of service, I noticed that our server did so much for the restaurant. She took phone call orders, managed take out service, and served tables all at the same time. She mentioned that her restaurant is still new but she did so well multitasking. She was very humble. She did her best to take care of us and was so sweet about not wanting to accept my tip even though she basically managed the place entirely. She mentioned how her staff deserved all the money and I was insistent that she take it too! She may not have been able to take care of us the whole time, but she was always generous about giving us utensils and even listened and conversed with us when she had a million things to do. I hope this business stays for a long time (forever hopefully) knowing that there are good people like her managing this place. Just a suggestion to Palm Thai Cafe: maybe have utensils and napkins out so customers can grab as much as they need! Might help take a load off your busy plate. Thanks again! See you all soon.“
“Interesting and creative Northern Thai. Cocktails v good and not too sweet: Thai basil gimlet and Pepino cooler. Sum Tom papaya salad quite good, but made with fish sauce rather than crushed dried shrimp. Spice good, slightly over on palm sugar. My partner loved the Tom Ka - it had something intriguing to increase body/unctuousness. Spicy Thai basil beef good taste and texture, but not amazing. Really wanted to try more dishes, including Thai Sausage, Chicken Larb, Spicy pork belly, and Sizzling eggplant - must go back soon! Friendly and helpful service. Sticky coated menus. Very cold inside.“
“Great service, not the best looking location, but some pretty darn good food! I’m petty picky about my pad Thai and they made it just right. Location isn’t the best looking but that’s not what we fatties are here for right!!!? Highly recommend :)“
“Went here for Galentines, and the food was amazing. There was no wait, and our server was super nice. A bit short staffed, but he made sure everyone was talen care of! The place is super cute and small! The food was delicious. Loved the Tom Yum wings and Basil Beef.“
“Play very unique treat. I had the dragon Ball as an appetizer and they were outstanding. And then I had their tail tempura as a second appetizer and it was just fantastic. My friends would join me for dinner and say this was a great choice you would never have thought of it. This place deserves a visit.“
“I had a wonderful experience eating dinner here. I got lucky with the parking spot so came in for the first time. Staff was prompt and kind. I came for yellow curry and it was super tasty. I would have this again. I very much enjoyed the atmosphere here as well. The restaurant played jazz music and overall gave a warm and inviting atmosphere. I had the rose pedal tea and it was great. It was a cold rainy night and coming here was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!!!!“
“This was my first experience having Thai food, and I was not disappointed. I was greeted at entry and seated immediately. The staff was kind and friendly, and happy to answer any questions. The food was amazing and I will be back for more. They offer vegetarian, vegan, and healthy options; everything is served in large portions and at affordable prices.“
“One of the better Thai places in this area of Chula Vista. They used to have a really good papaya salad, that I would recommend coming here on its own, but the version I had recently seems less cohesive and a little less freshly cut. The fried chicken dishes here are pretty good. Indoor seating is a little “
“We celebrated my nephews birthday yesterday at Signature Thai and had a wonderful time! This is our favorite Thai restaurant in all of San Diego and we are thrilled that we moved closer and get to visit often. However, last night was an even better experience! We had Amy as our server and she was fantastic!! Amy was attentive and patient with our large party. She made sure everything was perfect from refilling our drinks, to removing plates out of the way, to making sure the kids were comfortable and also cared for. Her attention to detail and customer satisfaction exceeded our expectations and that says a lot since this spot is already ranked really high on our list! We enjoyed seeing the wonderful thematic decor (Easter decor is up and very cute), the fish tank, and trying new delicious items on the menu. We were not disappointed! Everything we picked was very delicious and the plates are very well portioned.“
“We went to the one in IB the coast Aroma Thai and we got there 40min before closing time and they denied us service saying it was too late and would not get to us. So we decided to go to Siam Imperial and I don't regret it one bit! The food was flawless amazingly good and the service too notch!!! Food came out quick and te flavors were just perfect! Will def come back this place has earned my trust all the way! Highly recommend it!“
“For December nights in balboa this year we tried the bbq pork and the spicy pad kaprao burgers and they were super tasty! I'd never had a burger with the buns switched out for rice. Though I loved the flavors, serving size, and spiciness it was a bit too much rice and the whole thing was pretty sticky. The cooks and people in the booth were super cool and friendly, letting us take pics of them while they made the patties and eggs. We also got the Thai iced tea with boba and again, though it was good, it was a little too sweet and the boba was really gummy. I'm sure their actual location will have better quality and freshness than just a pop up in the park.“
“I got their Tofu Pad See Ew and it was extremely flavorful. Their mild spice level added some great flavor without being too spicy.I like how this location has outdoor seating and can accommodate a larger group (10 people), compared to their original location. The staff made our meals in a relatively quick time period but still maintained it's great quality.“
“Walked in on a Saturday day and got the last available table right away. Our server was excellent! Served us right away and the food came out SO QUICKLY.No exaggeration, this was the best Thai food we’ve ever had (and my wife and I spent months in Thailand last year). It tastes fresh and the flavours are amazing. I strongly recommend! We split this amount between 4 of us, but I suggest more food and variety. We saved our appetite for desert elsewhere after dinner, but sort of regret not trying more things.“
“The pad Thai was amazing and very flavorful. We also had pad se ew and that was also good. My husband's biggest complaint was we got an order of sticky rice and it was not sticky rice- it was steamed rice and a big let down when we got home. I'm not saying it broke his heart... but he was pretty upset. But pad Thai and pad se ew was yummy“
“My wife and I were in town for a conference, it was a little further from our hotel, but it got decent reviews so we thought we would try it. Man did it not disappoint! Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had, and the service was amazing! The food was much more affordable than it has right to be. I will be going back the next time I’m in town!“
“Food is always on point and authentic. You can just smell it when you walk in that it’s the real deal. Absolutely love the taro milk tea here! The peanut sauce is the best - they add enough spice and flavor to it. They put effort in seasonal decorations, keeping the place neat, and just the overall atmosphere is nice. One of our favorite Thai places for sure.“
“Wow! Don't hesitate- Best Thai food ever. I ordered tickets go and the customer service was so sweet and nice eventhough it was a busy Friday night. Pesca vegan diner - I ordered with a plan for the leftovers. Vegan pineapple rice, salad with peanutdressing, green curry with shrimp added and panamg curry. This is the most savory food I think I've had, ever. Thank you!!“
“This was a great Thai place. It’s too bad they closed the plaza. The restaurant moved and merged with what I think is their other restaurant - Corner Thai Kitchen just up the street on Friar’s, but I haven’t tried the new location yet. I hope it’s the same because this place was a winner!“
“We wandered in at about 7pm for dinner one night and were easily greeted and sat almost immediately. It's small, but well decorated and is a classy spot.Staff were super attentive and friendly and all our food was out quickly.I had an unsweet iced Thai tea (large and delicious) and we got steamed dumplings, duck, and chicken Pad Thai. One of the best servings of Pad Thai I've ever had! All the food was wonderful, including the dumplings. Hubs loved his duck and nearly cleaned his plate (rare for him). They have a charming patio but it was too cold on the December night we visited.Happily a new fav in Coronado for dinner. Run, don't walk!“
“The tuna flower cups were the most insane thing I’ve eaten in a long time. I haven’t had fish in over a decade and so I can’t be trusted really when I say “wow that tastes just like fish!” But my fish eating partner had the same reaction as well. Do not miss that dish! The chicken satay appetizer was also amazing, haven’t had something like that before. Also got the spring rolls and the tangerine chicken dish. The waiter was attentive and really nice, helped us out with our different allergies and restrictions.“
“Cute little place with tasty dishes. Ordered the Pad Ped with chicken that came with white rice. This is the first time trying it and it was GOOD! Also ordered the Kao Soi tofu and veggie. Delicious yellow curry sauce and the noodle were perfectly cooked. We will be returning to try more things on the menu“
“Best vegan Thai food in El Cajon! I definitely recommend coming to dine in I love the decor and felt a light energy. Service was prompt and courteous and the option of the all vegan menu and delicious Thai tea has now ensured I will keep coming back. Thank you thank you thank you ??Vegetarian options: New optional all vegan options !Dietary restrictions: Vegan availableParking: Parking is in the back and there are plenty of spaces.“
“Wow, a restaurant that can make a take out order look delicious and appealing is worth the rating! Our food was on time, prepared with thoughtfulness and delicious! No complaints at all! I look forward to sitting down and having a meal at such a great place ?“
“Best Thai food ever. I have a theory that most Thai places either have really good noodles and just okay curries or great curry and not-so-great noodles, but this place has BOTH great curries AND great noodles. We’re vegetarian so we always get pad see ew with mock duck and we’ve served this to meat-loving friends who has given it a stamp of approval. The staff is the friendliest and always quick and helpful. The ambiance is just okay, kind of a hole in the wall sort of place. We always get take-out, but if you’re going to eat there go in the summertime and sit outside.“
“Delicious food made with love and care! I love this family owned Thai place. The restaurant is a little cozy so it may be better for take out. The portions were good and the taste was phenomenal! I'll definitely be back. Thank you for your service!“
“Seemed like most of their orders are take outs so the restaurants always seem a bit empty. I Love their Thai green tea, cheese wontons, chicken satay, and soup. Some of the main courses were a bit too sweet to my taste. Staff were friendly. Will come back to try more items on the menu.“
“Newly opened Lao-Thai restaurant!Cool vibe with hip interior design(compare to other restaurants in this area...)Spacious dining area with HUGE tables and comfortable booth.Get the cococane drinks! You won't regret it. Coconut water mixed with cane sugar drinks. Healthy, delicious, great before mealMust order: kapoon chicken noodle soup! This heavenly delicious soup noodle with coconut, lemongrass soup base that reminds me of tom kha soup. Very flavorful soup base. It is mixed with chicken chunks, chicken feet, pork blood?, and vegetables. OUT OF THE WORLD good.If you like fish, muk fish dish was excellent. Mouthful of fish with different spices and herbs. Taste wonderful with the side spices they provide.I personally am not a fan of the laos favorite dish. It was too much salty meat and the laos papaya salad was too salty for me(don't get me wrong I LOVE fish sauce but it is a little more salty than I can handle.)Will come back and try the fried chicken that everyone raves about.“
“Excellent place to have a nice vegan meal. The service is exceptional and the atmosphere is friendly.Vegetarian options: The menu is all plant-based.Dietary restrictions: This place is vegan or plant-based, there are no animal products in any of the dishes.“
“I went in yesterday, never been before. The ladies who helped me order were amazing, specially one. Thank you! I wish I would have asked your name. The food she suggested I order was amazing and just the right flavor. My family really enjoyed it. I will be back.“
“Tried this new little cozy place in my neighborhood that just opened, and it did not dissapoint. Food was amazing all freshly cooked. I ordered to go and my family loved it. The Drunken noodles with beef and shrimp was my favorite dish. The yellow curry was very tasty. Thai fried rice was on point and the crispy veggie eggrolls were good. Last but not least ..The mango sticky rice was excellent. Definetely will be coming back soon to try the Pad Thai noodles and the soups.??this could a new hidden ?. Enjoy!“
“Edited review and changed to 5 stars:Really appreciate you (Thai Time) replying to this. I guess this was more of a misunderstanding that maliciousness. If that is the case, then I apologize for assuming.I don't need a formal apology or a special offer, but thank you very much for offering. I'm sure at some point we'll come back (after the awkwardness/embarrassment has worn off..)“
“So delicious! The soup that comes with the lunch special knocked my socks off. The prices are great. Outstanding noodles. Friendly, efficient service. Feels like eating at a little hole in the wall on a Thai island, except with real chairs (iykyk). I'll be back.“
“So far everything I've tried has been delicious!! My favorites are the Drunken noodles and the cream cheese wonton. The flavors are perfect. And the wontons are so good Especially the way she rolls them you get the perfect bite of crispy wonton and cream cheese mix inside with every bite *Chefs kiss* wishing them the best of luck!!“
“Delicious fresh and healthy. First time trying will definitely go back when in SD. Thank you to the lovely women in the back for preparing this meal. It tastes authentic and home cooked. I got the mixed vegetables with rice (the broth is excellent and had hearty cuts of vegetables) and the drunken noodles, perfect amount of spicy.“
“Outstanding cuisine with excellent quality! The dishes are flavorful, healthy, and incredibly fresh. It offers great value, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. I've frequented this establishment many times and will continue to support this business because I love it! However, my only complaint is that occasionally there's a lengthy wait for food, with 45 minutes being a norm during busy times.“
“Great place for delicious Thai food. The service was excellent, the food came out quickly, and was a decent portion at a fair price. They have a full page dedicated to vegan/vegetarian optionsVegetarian options: full page dedicated to vegan/vegetarian options“
“Try outside of your comfort zone and you’ll realize all the food in this place is bomb. The owners are so nice and polite, if you have questions about the menu, they provide honest feedback/suggestions. Small space, but perfect for take out so you can enjoy back at home! Serving sizes is perfect in their containers and for the price in my honest opinion.“
“The fried rice and cashew chicken were amazing. This will be my go to for fried rice in the area. However, the mango chicken was terrible. Both of us thought it tasted almost exactly like honey mustard and made me sick to my stomach with the syrup/mayo taste. I like sweet but this was unreal.I'm not sure if they changed the recipe because it looked lighter in color than pictures others posted or maybe messed up the ratio that day.“
“Very happy for this cozy space. Nice and pleasant place to eat, the food was delicious and the dessert as well, the waiters are very friendly and you feel super special with their attention, the music is at a good volume and the atmosphere was very relaxing. My bill came out to $54 for two people, clean bathrooms and a super clean place. Wheelchair access. Free parkingVegetarian options: Most dishes can be vegetarian. Since you decide if you want meat or prefer tofuParking: Parking is free in front of the propertyWheelchair accessibility: The floor is wide and there are no stairs at the entrance so it is easy to access.“
“I have been going to this establishment since they first opened. I love having the food here and usually get the pork blood porridge, hot tea and an iced coffee. Have tried just about the whole menu though and you really cant miss with any “
“Ordered takeout to my hotel. Food arrived very quickly via Uber eats and was delicious. I ordered Chicken Pad Thai with veggies. I wanted a hint of spice so I only picked 1/10, but it was more like a 4/10 or so. Next time I will order no spice. But all and all I really liked it. The mango sticky rice was also amazing!“
“Love this place!!! When craving for authentic motherland food they have it all... my favorite dishes are the beef larb halal & half with the organ soup. Flavors are tasty and bold, if you wanna try something out of your comfort zone this is the place and won't disappoint.“
“During my first visit, I was thoroughly impressed and know that it won't be my last. Every dish we ordered was not only delicious, but the service was exceptionally friendly. Despite asking numerous questions, the staff member was incredibly kind and provided us with all the information we needed. We savored the panang curry, mango curry, Tom Yum soup, and pork belly fried rice. Let me tell you, the pork belly was cooked to perfection—not too crispy, yet delightfully tender. The curries were absolutely divine, and the sweet tangy taste of the mango was a delightful addition. The soup was incredibly flavorful, and even the white rice was cooked with a delightful texture. I'm already craving to return and sample more items from the menu. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting as you certainly won't be disappointed.“
“Pictured: Satay Chicken, Panang Curry (with chicken), and Crispy Calamari.Service was great, only one person working for dinner doing to go’s and dine ins. Didn’t get her name but she was very friendly!Ambience was very cozy.Panang Curry was amazing!! I was asked for a spiciness level between 1-10 and I chose 6. It was spicier than I thought it would be but still great flavor. Crispy Calamari was good. Also comes with fried veggies. Satay Chicken was also good. Will be coming back!“
“If you’re doing your research for a good Thai place in the area - then you found it.We always struggle to find Thai that is as good as back home and this is the place that’s giving home a run for its money. We started with the Summer Rolls and those were the best I’ve had. I love the tofu in it - so different. Then our entree came and this is the most delicious Pad Thai. I ordered mine with duck because the charge for duck was very inexpensive. I loved the duck in it as there were bits of skin as well. We didn’t know they had cocktails until we asked to see if there was a menu. I got the Appletini and loved it. Lastly, we got the mango sticky rice and the mango wasn’t the most ripe however it was still incredible.“
“Officially my favorite Thai restaurant in San Diego! It has been a struggle finding a spot with pad thai not too sweet or too dry. This place had the best balance and I'm so happy I finally found a good spot I'll come to frequently. The khao soi is my favorite noodle soup!! The portions are huge and the value stretches so far. Coming back soon!“
“I love coconut girl! Heads up though, they are no longer in PB next to dirty birds. I went there and it is now a Thai restaurant. Go to the address yelp gives on Boston. Copy and paste it into gps because hitting get directions will direct you to the PB location“
“Service is AMAZING everyone is so niceFood is absolutely delicious!!! Pricing is reasonable as well.It no frills and good food. I truly appreciate the quality and it is not overly salty as some restaurants can be. I had eggplant delight with shrimp, crab fried rice #4 heat, and garlic chicken wings. This is take a shower put on your jammies, make a plate and climb up on the couch with your favorite blanket. The food makes you feel just as comfy cozy.“
“I have been a fan of this place for about 10yrs (back in my Southwestern College Days) no seating...don't care. Walk up and order...only pick up Togo, PERFECT! Always fresh and hot! Sweet Basil Chicken and green curry or pad see ew ALL DELICIOUS!“
“The tom yum soup was good had three shrimps in it for a small size. The Thai tea was refreshing and the pad see lew was okay. The portion was good but since I picked veggies I figured it have more than what it did. I did door dash it and didn't receive any condiments or utensils but my driver was nice :) paid around 40 bucks.“
