“Thai Taste 2 in Bonita is a hidden gem tucked into a small strip mall, but don’t let the location fool you—the food and service really deliver. The service was great from start to finish and the staff was friendly and attentive.

Started with the chicken satay, which was flavorful, juicy, and cooked perfectly. For the main dish, ordered the spicy noodles with chicken at spice level 2—great balance of heat without overpowering the flavors. The noodles had great texture and plenty of flavor in every bite.

If you’re looking for solid Thai food in the area with excellent service and tasty dishes, I’d definitely recommend giving Thai Taste 2 a try.“

“My wife took me here and let me say...the flavors are out of this world delicious! I had the grilled King Oyster Mushroom with Khao Soi curry (medium spice), egg noodles and a fried egg to top! It was so good I had to drink the essence from the bowl!!!! Service was great! The atmosphere was a vibe and they played bossa nova like music so it added to the experience! I would definitely come back! Matter of fact I will be back!“

“The food is excellent, and the ambiance is lively, authentic, and welcoming. The décor is attractive and creates a pleasant dining experience. The tables are a bit too close together, but overall the atmosphere is enjoyable.

The service could be improved, particularly regarding hygiene practices. While I appreciate that the waitstaff wear gloves, I have noticed that the same gloves are used both for serving food and for clearing dirty dishes. This defeats much of the purpose of wearing gloves and raises concerns about cross-contamination.

Another practice I found troubling is that staff often place their hands inside the takeout containers provided for leftovers. Similarly, hands should never be placed inside clean water glasses or food containers, even when they are empty. Since the same staff members appear to handle both serving and bussing duties, these practices become even more concerning.

Other than these hygiene issues, I genuinely enjoy the food and would happily visit more often. However, I find myself considering these concerns each time I dine here. If these practices were improved, I believe the restaurant could easily earn an even higher rating and strengthen its reputation with customers“

“Here we are again having another fabulous meal prepared for us. But's this time There was a party of maybe 6 women and they prefer to have the other entrance open so my wife froze her butt off for the whole meal it seems like it was below 0 degrees but all in all we still had a great meal. Maybe I should have said something to our waitress but I didn't want to upset the girls.“

“Stopped by Palm Thai Restaurant and had a great meal. I ordered the Pad Thai, which was flavorful, well-balanced, and cooked perfectly. I also had the Thai Tea, and the serving size was huge. It was rich, refreshing, and absolutely delicious.

The Satay chicken was tender and flavorful....Pad Woon Sen was fresh and light with crispy vegetables. Cream cheese wontons were great and served as dessert. “I come to San Diego often to visit my family, and during one visit I was craving Thai food so we looked up a place nearby and this restaurant came up. Luck was on our side because this turned out to be such a great meal! When my family and I came in we needed a table to seat 6 people and they quickly got a table together for us. I ordered the red curry with vegetables and this place truly lived up to its name! The ingredients tasted fresh and the curry was so delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. As we ate and talked we saw a lot of people come in to pick up take out orders, no one else came to dine in. There are a few tables though and I suggest dining in at least once a - we were able to meet the chef/owner and he was such a nice guy. Really seemed to care about each plate that came out. I can’t wait to visit my family again and enjoy some good food and conversation here!“

“I went there to eat with a coworker for lunch earlier today. It was my very first time having been there. I was recommended by a couple of my friends. The restaurant was pretty spacious and the staff were very friendly. I ordered the laab seen (ລາບຊີ້ນ) a Lao minced beef salad and the tom khueng nai (ຕົ້ມເຄື່ອງໃນ) a Lao beef innards soup with some sticky rice. Lunch was delicious. I will definitely be going back there again. I will be bringing my mom. She was actually the person that had brought up this place to me before as well. See you again in the near future.“

“Was in the San Diego area craving some drunken noodles (Pad Kee Mao or Mow) and asked Google to help me find one close.

The ordering process went smoothly as I looked at the website and called in my order.

Picking up was ok. It is a little house that has been converted into this restaurant and I walked right past it. When you go, look for the little yellow house that is set back a little bit from the street.

As I was paying for my meal, I asked if there were any Yelp discounts. He said no discounts and it is a 3% fee to use your credit card.

The Panang Curry was amazing. Lots of flavor. Perfectly cooked rice and they go together so well. Great consistency, plenty of carrots with come chicken (that was my chosen protein) and other veggies. I was surprised that when I opened the curry, it was still piping hot. And they wrapped the container in plastic wrap in addition to the cover being on it. Love when restaurants do that as it decreases the chance of spills.

The drunken noodles was what I was craving to begin with and I found out lacking. Not much flavor and to be honest, I was hoping to have had some Thai Basil in it. To be fair, it didn't mention that on their menu. It just adds so much flavor and without it, it is too bland for me. I'm also accustomed to much more saucy noodles and these are very dry. When I have leftovers, I will add some Huy Fong Sambal Oelek Chili Paste.

Over all, I would go again. However, I'll stick with the curry next time.“
