“2026: Heads up. No bread deliveries on Sunday. This means AK Meats usually run out of Dutch Crunch bread by the afternoon, which is the case today. For my roast beef with Swiss sandwich$13.75, I instead opted for the sweet French roll. This was still very good. Love AK Meats' sandwiches.

12/31/2025: KPIX did an interview with the owners of AK Meats for The Great SF Power Outage of 2025 last week. I came by to show them some support. My sandwich, a AK's combo $14 was ready in about 10 minutes. It was sad to see them suffer through that. It is a good reminder for us to be all ready for the next earthquake or PGE outage. My sandwich tasted great as always.

This is one of the best sandwiches on Clement St we've had. I loved how they put some fresh bell peppers along with leaf lettuce, onions and tomatoes in the sandwich. “Possibly the greatest Halal Deli shops in California. From the moment you step in you are met with a lively atmosphere reminiscent of a New York bodega with a SF twist. The food was incredible, I had the M-Stop which had some of the best smoked meat I've ever had. They smoke their meat in house and it always comes out great. Definitely check this place out if you live anywhere in the Bay, it is a must try!“

“My go to spot now for sandwiches when I go to the presidio. I got the San Franpyscho on Dutch crutch, I’ve seen so many people post about it and it didn’t disappoint. I also got the rated R to eat later but tried it fresh and it had nice kick to it, and I’m not sure which one I like better since they both hit the spot, but there’s so many options, it was hard to choose. It’s a deli & market so has all the picnic needs + the Sandwiches obviously, super convenient!“

“I used to pass by this store all the time, but today I finally decided to stop by and check it out — honestly such a nice surprise 😂
They have sooo many different products and snacks, especially the German Haribo and chocolates. I swear I’ve never seen this many types of German Haribo in any other store before.

They also have a really good selection of beers and wines, lots of variety and different options you don’t usually find in one place.

Everything was clean and organized, and the workers were super friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back again!“

“We ordered 3 sandwiches: Avo smash, Baja turkey and the blta. They were all delicious, my only complaint was the amount of onions in the Baja but surprisingly no strong onion taste. They were delicious. Service was prompt and we were told it’d be 20 mins but had our sandwiches in less than that. Overall great sandwiches“

“This is my 31st sandwich review (according to another app). Snack Sensei put Grand 7 on my radar (again), I’ve been hearing about it since I moved back from Hawaii in 2019. My apologies to the community because I truly did not understand how fire this place is.

My partner’s job ordered catering, and lucky for me there was still an Italian on Dutch crunch at the end of the event. He snagged it for me. And let me just say: some might say a sandwich is a sandwich. Wrong.

The way the fresh ingredients and flavors marry together is just perfect. The bread to sandwich ratio is perfect and that catering order must have extra protein. The quality of the meat is far superior. And the mayo? Listen… if you know anything about Hawaii, you know we are serious about our mayonnaise.

The best part: I had half fresh on Wednesday and saved the other half for a field trip with my class on Friday and it was just as good. TWO days later.

Now I just need to find time to get there in person (limited hours!) because my friend swears they have the best chopped cheese he has ever had better than New York. If you’re looking for the best sandwich in the Bay Area, get here now.“
