Hilas caffe is your one stop for Italian desserts- gelato, cakes, pastries- and Italian coffee.Hila’s gelato is absolutely amazing- perfect texture, light, not too sweet. The pistachio and saffron flavors are perfect. Her espresso is also great!There’s also all kinds of Italian pastries and desserts… including a pistachio cornetto, my favorite pastry in the world! Cornettos are similar to croissants (but imo, lighter, less sweet and just better). For 9 months, I’ve been trying to find a pistachio cornetto in San Francisco like the one I had while visiting Italy without success. I finally found it at Hila’s and it was perfect, filled with pistachio cream. “Flavors are very accurate of their name like chocolate caramel crunch, birthday cake (with actual whole pieces of real cake), tiramisu, etc. unsure if the price is worth the amount however. “I was here for about five minutes, but the taste of the cookie milk & cookies is enough for me to give this place 5 stars this time. Not too sweet or rich (I do have a sweet tooth so that opinion is probably skewed) and I liked the simplicity of my single scoop. It was enough for me to get my fix and didn't make me feel awful afterwards. I didn't try the other flavors but they seemed like a fresh departure from the usual combinations of other ice cream spots. Also, from the utensils, bowls, and sample spoons they use it seems like this place is environmentally friendly which is a plus. The staff were friendly and approachable too. Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area!“

“I'll start off by saying yes, this does taste just as good as it looks. I'm so glad I gave this place a shot. It was super eye catching and looked like a very unique take on ice cream. Their flavors and pastries are all hand crafted from what I could tell and it shows because they taste amazing. Everything I had was absolutely delicious and I'll definitely be coming back. When we went, there was only one person working so be prepared to wait but I promise that it's worth it. I will say next time I'll probably go with a regular scoop because I feel like I got less ice cream than my girlfriend who didn't get the bun. The bun however, was very flavorful and wasn't too thick, which I appreciated. Also if you get a bun, it does melt and get messy which is to be expected so be prepared for that. Overall, absolutely love this place and would highly suggest to any ice cream enjoyer.“

This brings me to find the best Vanilla ice cream flavor I ever had " The Double Fold Vanilla" at Salt & Straw. Being Vanilla at Salt & Straw is a good problem to have.“

“Angie’s is amazing — probably the best thin crust pizza in the city! Wood fired with organic dough is the way. My girlfriend and I have tried almost all the pies on the menu and every one is great. The date + margarita with pesto drizzle are so good. Simple yet delicious apps including mixed greens salad and meatballs are also delicious.“

“Grew up eating Polly Ann, super quick service. There is limited seating inside and outside. The place is super bright and open. They have a wheel that can help you pick a flavor :) I got a scoop of matcha and a scoop of black sesame. If you like Chinese black sesame dessert, definitely try the black sesame.“

I wanted the vegan vainilla to pair with the passion fruit, but the staff informed me it was mislabeled and unfortunately wasn't vegan. I didn't have any lactase tablets on me, so I stuck with the safe option.There's not much seating inside because it's a small establishment, but eventually, a couple of tall chairs at the window bar opened up. This place is super cute and cozy and conveniently located next to several restaurants and stores. It's a great place to stop by for dessert!“

It's for THE REAL calamansi lovers, a love for sour is required. But it's the most accurate calamansi ice cream I've ever had. Toasted sesame is awesome- like a sesame ball in an ice cream. Lemon blueberry swirl - all yum. more blueberry preferred. Strawberry poptart - fairly accurate. Pretty goodNow about that burger - solid. It's got all the ingredients to make one of my fave burgers - mustard grilled pattie, extra pickles, lots of onions, and a super soft bun. but it was too strong on the mustard,and the bread doesn't taste like it was cooking with the burger on the grill. As vegetarians we ordered the Agarlic Pie, margharita pizza and garden pizza for 4 of us. We absolutely loved this cute little pizzas. All of them were great. Kids also enjoyed it. “Passed by this place on the way to dinner with my friends, and I realized that I have bookmarked this place for awhile. Upon entering we were greeted by the employees and could request samples to try out their unique ice cream flavors. I sampled the Banana Puddin, but I didn't end up with that one because I didn't think it had enough banana flavor. I then sampled the Creme Fraiche, and that one tasted a lot like cheese/sour cream so I decided to pair it with the Brown Sugar Lavender. In a small bowl you can get up to 2 flavors, so that is what I did, and it did not disappoint. The interior of the place gives a lot of retro diner vibes, it felt very nostalgic. I enjoyed my ice cream with my friends sitting at one of the tables while seeing other customers come in and sit down at the bar to order their own ice cream. There's a variety of options to choose from, which includes milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches, boozy floats, and more. I think the unique menu in both flavor and types of desserts make the Ice Cream Bar have an identity of its own compared to other ice cream parlors. If I'm ever in the area again, I look forward to their rotation of flavors and trying out the other desserts“

“There are few foods I enjoy more than a fresh deli sandwich, and I was quite pleased with the sandwiches at Cafe Stellato! Cafe Stellato is a very cute cafe that greets you with a display of fantastic looking gelato (which I will be trying next time I come in!). But there are also a plethora of sandwich options available to those who make their way in toward the back of the cafe. I ordered the Stellato Special with the works, and my partner ordered the Alpino. The combination of turkey, artichoke, and sun dried tomatoes were delicious, and the ingredients all tasted very fresh. When asked, I opted for the spicy calabrese spread, though I was slightly disappointed that there was no real spice to it. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the Alpino as well, and commented multiple times on how tasty the pancetta (Italian bacon) was!Our order was taken very quickly, and the sandwiches were prepared nice and quickly. Everyone working there was friendly and efficient.I will definitely be coming back to eat my way through more of their sandwich menu. And next time, I think I'll be topping it off with some of that great looking gelato!“

“I LOVE these cookies. I’ve never liked cookies because they are always “fake” tasting, too hard, no flavor etc. However, when I stumbled upon Sara’s a year ago, I’ve been hooked! To whoever said they were “crunchy” and “lacked flavor” you’re completely wrong. The reason I like her cookies is because they are soft and chewy and melt in your mouth. It’s the only cookie I’ve ever enjoyed and all of them are amazing. They last days after you get them too, without getting hard or stale. 10/10“

“Fresh baked cookies with very unique cookie flavors (like funfetti & carrot cake). I did expect it to be cloying and super sweet, but it was nice. You could taste the ingredients and the ice cream was great without being "syrup-y". The staff was super friendly, but be warned that they do not always have all the flavors all the time. We waited for about 15 min because we wanted to try the funfetti cookie and some were just coming out of the oven. There were also a few ice cream flavors not in stock. You can take it on-the-go and walk around Fisherman's Wharf, or you can sit in a few picnic tables and chairs to eat it there. Worth a stop and better than the chain ice cream shops nearby.“

I had oreo and my friend got peanut butter indulgence. Ice cream was above par! Tasted fresh, creamy, and airy. I didnt get a chance but next time i will be ordering their black walnut!“

The soft-serve ice cream is solid too, especially the seasonal flavors. If there's no seating available on the nearby benches, go upstairs, there's a couple more benches there, and they're usually available.“

“Ghirardelli chocolate experience is one of the best attraction in san francisco, it is a must visit place for chocolate lovers. It has some cafes, bars, and restaurants, with the display of the chocolate making process. There are souvenir and chocolate shops with a lot of variants of the product. I like the concept, but unfortunately the gelato texture became a bit too melted once it reached my hands. “Forgot to take a picture of this before I got almost half way through eating it. The green tea soft serve was delicious and not too sweet (just how I like it). The fish shaped waffle cone is delicious on it's own too: crunchy exterior, but still fluffy and cake like inside. The Taro filling in the waffle was a very nice sweeter addition overall too. Definitely the perfect treat to top off a beautiful sunny day outside!“

“I moved from SoCal to San Francisco in June of 2023. I've seen a number of sandwich shops and I pass by Marina Submarine everyday on my way to work. Today I was craving a sandwich and even saw a few posts about sandwiches on social media today, so I decided to stop in Marina Submarine. I've never tried a tuna melt, but it was raining today and it was calling my name. Not only was this tuna melt AMAZING, but it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! It's really awesome to try something for the first time and be blown out of the water! The jalapeño on this sandwich gave it a nice subtle heat and added layer of flavor. The sourdough bread was perfectly toasted. First time here and it didn't disappoint! I'm very impressed and I'll be back.“

“A great place for dessert in the Mission. However, I find their hours very strange. This place gives off "dessert bar" vibes, which is GREAT, but they close at 7:00pm. If they shifted their hours and opened until 10pm, they would get MUCH more business from folks having dinner in the Mission and wanting something sweet afterwards.“
