“I had a wonderful experience at Roots Indian Bistro. I reached quite late, even after closing hours, but the staff still welcomed and accommodated me so warmly without making me feel rushed at all.

The food was excellent, and to top it off, they even served complimentary kheer, which was such a thoughtful gesture. What stood out the most to me, though, was the hospitality. The staff was genuinely kind and attentive, and one of the owners personally came over to check if everything was good and whether I was enjoying the meal.

Good food is memorable, but genuine hospitality is what truly makes a place special — and Roots absolutely excelled at that. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for not just great Indian food, but also an incredibly warm dining experience.“

“Everything was great but the music. They only played Country music— it was really confusing. I understand in Brazil country music is very popular but that is discounting that there really isn’t an established market for country music in Brazil (or at the very least not as established as here in the U.S.) while I can appreciate the cultural difference in playing only country music I think some contextual awareness would go a long way. If I’m coming to a BRAZILIAN steakhouse at the Beverly Center, some Brazilian music is would be far more appreciated than Country music. Not to dismiss the cultural significance this music may have in Brazil, but if I want to hear Country music I can find that easily. I think the bar/restaurant would really benefit from playing music that immerses LA natives (who often have little exposure to Brazilian music) in the music of Brazil than any benefit that can be derived from a Brazilian Restaurant playing Country music.“

“Oh my goodness. Just finished eating and ran here to write a review. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the most delicious, fresh, flavorful Indian food I've ever had, and I used to live in Jersey City. I went yesterday with friends to try the chicken tikka masala burrito and it was unexpectedly awesome. The owner who served us brought us complimentary mulligatawny soup which was extremely comforting and he was so attentive and friendly. We also got the masala fries with paneer and they were soooo good.

I had such a great experience that I came back today to try some non-fusion food for takeout. I got what I usually get for Indian takeout- chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, garlic naan, and vegetable samosas. I was also excited to see they have gobi manchurian which is one of my favorites but surprisingly hard to find a good one, so I tried that too.

Wowwowow! Every single dish was exceptional. Everything seasoned perfectly, with so much depth of flavor in each dish. Samosas were flaky and crispy, and the chutneys were perfect. Masala was sweet and a little spicy, and the paneer was so fresh. The gobi manchurian was also perfection. I almost never want to go to another Indian place again, because I've seemingly found the best. Can't wait to come back again and try some different dishes! Can not recommend this place enough! Sorry, forgot to take pictures of my dinner I was too excited to eat it.

“This is honestly the best brisket sandwich and burger I have ever had IN MY LIFE!!! And I have had a lot of both! The brisket has more of a pulled pork consistency and it is unreal with that in house slaw and potato bun. Smash style burgers are also my top fave kind of burger and they do it exactly how I would dream of it being done. They are also not your usual slider size. These are the size of a kids meal burger (so to me- that’s normal sized). Not some giant sand which but the perfect size. I would normally be content with just one of these sandwiches but I did the combo so one brisket and one burger and I could not stop eating either one even after the meat sweats set in! I got the fries with no cheese and they were great. So happy to have found this place! Speaking of place: there are no signs. Its inside of urban skillet and there are no signs or menus up in there either so feels like an underground magic spot. I feel like I’m in the know now. Thank you! (Next time I’ll take pics.)“

“I'm at a loss for words, but I'll try my best. Food? Amazing! Perfect amount of seasoning and the portions are huge! And this is coming from a big dude. For the appetizers, my favorites were the Kashk E'bademjan (Eggplant Delight), Potato Salad, and the Hummus! They have more selections, but this is what I was able to try. I hear all are great! For the Entrees, ALL OF THEIR KABOBS ARE FIRE (MMM MMMM YUMMY). I had a sample of most them and in the islands, we would say "broke da mouf kine", which translates to, the food is *beep beep* GOOD! If you've never had Persian Food, or you love it, this is the restaurant for you! Drinks? I love Korean Soju and Cass beer, so yeah, +10 points from me. They do carry various Wines and Beers though...and of course your choice of Soda Pop. Atmosphere? It' gives you a Kewl Kids Vibe; a classy place where you can be yourself with family and friends and just enjoy each others company. You have your choice of Indoor and Outdoor dinning which is amazing. There's also a private room upstairs that can hold 20 people for a meal and karaoke (there is a fee to reserve, but very much worth it). Staff? We were greeted at the door as if we were coming home. Pasha and his staff go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. Their suggestions on meal and drink pairings are spot on. I can't thank Pasha and the crew for making our group outing a success. Overall? I'll be going back and I hope that you add this restaurant to your list of 'go to' places to dine at. “Omg the food was so good I loved everything. It was seriously delicious I will definitely be coming back. The hummus was amazing, the salad was not only fresh but a type I’ve never had before. The flavors and ingredients had me like what is this I was honestly blown away at how tasty a salad can be. The fish was cooked perfectly and the rice was on point. All the sides were so good too I honestly can’t find anything wrong. You can really tell the cook puts love into the food. The staff was also very kind and welcoming. “Taste of Tehran was my first time eating at a restaurant in Tehrangeles, and it was an awesome choice. This was definitely one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants I've been to in LA. Everything was so great. And yes, I ate a lot of food on the first day here. I started off with some of the stews that included gormeh sabzi, the gheyme, and ash reshteh, which were all very tasty. The surprise hit to me was the Lentil Quinoa Salad. Seriously, one of the best salads I've ever had. It was sweet, refreshing, and savory all at the same time. No words to describe. And then the meats: the koobideh and soltani plate, just fabulous, along with that lentil rice. I can honestly say that Persians make the best rice out of all Middle Eastern countries! Even the barberry rice was amazing. Never had a rice this sweet and fruity before! Overall, an amazing experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Don't be fooled by the looks of this place. It looks like a quick, over the counter order type of restaurant, but the food is top notch. Even Anthony Bourdain has been here!
