“I got take out but wish I dined in! Walking into the restaurant felt authentic and smelled like your classic old school sushi spot that brings back that nostalgia feeling from back in the day. The sushi was incredibly fresh and melted in my mouth. I got a spicy salmon roll and spicy yellowtail and they actually had a small kick compared to other restaurants. The miso soup also tasted super fresh. Wish I took pictures but will definitely dine here again!“

“Visited here with my wife to have a nice evening. The menu was good, especially the soups; the broth was so tasty, the flavors were perfect. The restaurant owner needs to upgrade the furniture and walls and repair the ceiling; they will have more visitors for sure.
Overall, a good place to eat delicious soups and sushi.
Thanks for the warm welcome and good service!“

“Excellent sushi in Burbank. Their omakase menu is amazing, the 7-courses menu is the one you don't want to miss. Service is way above standard. If you are in Burbank try this place out. Chirashi is another amazing dish. Great value for the quality of food they are serving. The vanilla ice cream tempura dessert is a lovely surprise.“

“10 out of 10
Sushi Fuji Ya is such a great spot! The vibe is super cute, especially with the cherry blossom decor, it gives the place a cozy and charming atmosphere.
We tried the iced matcha tea and hot sake, which were both perfect pairings for the meal. The new menu items were a pleasant surprise! The Snowy Fuji roll had a perfect crunchy outside and soft inside, packed with amazing flavor. The Creamy Salmon was also a standout, rich, smooth, and delicious.
What I love most is how they combine creativity with traditional flavors. It feels new but nostalgic at the same time. The fish is incredibly fresh, and everything is made with care.
Also, don’t miss the BBQ ribs, they were tender and flavorful. The miso soup was comforting, and the salad dressing was spot on.
Highly recommend this place, everything we had was top-notch. We’ll definitely be back!“

“*Delayed post from Jan ‘25
Visited this restaurant multiple times, both for dine-in service and take out. They consistently deliver decent quality food, though the service isn’t always the best. The last few servers I’ve had did the absolute minimum and weren’t hospitable, but they got the job done. Be aware that there is a sign-in stand near the door, not at the hostess stand, and you will be skipped if you don’t fill it out. The atmosphere is fun and I enjoy the enclosed booths on the sides for intimate meals with others.“

“For mall food you can do worse.
Is the food bland? Sure, a little.
Do the employees care? No, not at all.
Are you subjected to babies crying and dogs barking as you try to eat your tempura? Yes, but you're already at the mall anyway.
For like $13 you can get a very generous portion of chicken teriyaki. The flavor is not at all complex, but it's salty and satisfying. You're not gonna find yourself craving this, but don't believe the other comments calling this an abomination. It's totally passable mall Japanese.“

“I’ve only just started coming here but wow what a hidden gem! The food is absolutely fantastic every dish I’ve tried so far has been bursting with flavor and made with real care. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and everyone I’ve spoken to has been genuinely friendly.
A special shoutout to Harry! He goes above and beyond to make sure guests feel at home. His energy, attentiveness, and good vibes really elevate the whole experience. You can tell he truly cares about the people and the food.
I’m seriously excited to work my way through the entire menu. If you haven’t been yet do yourself a favor and check this place out!“

“My family and I stopped here after a movie and really enjoyed it. It was late on a Monday, so it was empty and got seated immediately. The atmosphere is open, with high ceilings and an outside patio. There isn't loads of seating, but a decent amount. I could imagine there being a wait if it's a busy day.
Service was friendly and checked on us a regular amount. We didn't even feel pushed out, even though we stayed close to closing.
I've never been to another SilverLake Ramen, but I really enjoyed it. I liked how the chicken was in grilled strips, that was probably my favorite part. I got the Classic one, but next time I'd try something spicier. My mom got the veggie one and really enjoyed the variety, and my dad got the chicken broth one which he found tasty but unique, because it's not common for Ramen to be made with a clear chicken broth.
Overall we really enjoyed our meal and would go again to try more items!“

“Lindsey was hands-down the best server, so friendly and on top of everything! The food was so good, I literally ate it all before I even thought about taking a picture. The vibe here is great too, super chill and welcoming. Definitely coming back!“

“I wish I would have taken a picture of everything we ate, but we were hungry and the food was delicious, so we ate away.
We had their shishito peppers and miso as starters. We ordered one roll and the rest, a variety of nigiri. To drink we had sake. Everything was yummy.
I can't wait to comeback.“

“My wife and I came for the happy hour and really enjoyed it. And using their happy hour, we wonder why people go to buffet restaurants. I am a big eater - and I was well fed with a bill - after taxes and before tipp of $54 for the two of us. Including two beers. Of course, it is not the Nobu - but I bet you agree that is not what one would expect from this place. The service was good - and the ambiance a tad worn. I guess I'd rather dine at the Pasadena location - just because the ambiance is more appealing. Other than that: if you have cravings for sushi and money is an issue, the happy hour (even on weekends!) is a fantastic deal.“

“Wanted sushi before heading back home from Universal Studios was tired of 2 days park food. Found this place thru Yelp and it didn’t disappoint. We loved the fresh Uni, Chu Toro, & Monk Fish Liver nigiris. Everything was good! A very expensive lunch but was worth it ❤️👍🏼. Very attentive staff too.“

“It’s a gluten free spot for anyone looking for options. I wanted to try the burrito but the kids insisted for all to get poke. The person working there, not sure if the manager or owner, he was so kind to explain why to stick to the poke option which made total sense! To top it off, he went and offered us chips and popcorn that they prepare! Sometimes it really takes one person to make such a difference to your dining experience. Thank you!“

“The place is real clean. Happy to be in a clean spot area in Burbank. Great place to have a business meeting late night as I’m real picky. My favorite go to spot for a good snack that I can eat later. I would try the Yakiniku as it’s only available for a limited amount of time. I had to get the egg rolls and combo plate.“

“I had the teriyaki chicken and tempura lunch special. The food was excellent. I am not usually a fan of white rice, but this rice was good. The chicken was also very tasty. The tempura shrimp was fried perfectly. Wonderful and friendly service. Would definitely go back when in the area again.“

“Had an awesome birthday lunch at Oku-Niku today!
My husband took me out for some Japanese bbq & had a great time. They have an AYCE option for $55 and a premium AYCE with higher cuts of meat for $75. We decided to not do ayce bc we didn’t want to over eat due to our dinner plans later in the evening. So we ordered their 2 meat lunch option—picked the prime short rib and beef belly. It came with rice, smashed cucumber salad and miso soup for $25. Great option for those who want to have a light meal. We also added on pork jowl ($12) and their A5 Waygu ($45). We cooked them at the table just like kbbq. All the meats were melt-in-your-mouth good. I loved the sauces they provided and the lemon pepper seasoning as well. The service here was fantastic. I wish we got the name of our waitress who was so kind and very attentive! She gave me a slice of their tasty yuzu cheesecake on the house, which was so sweet and thoughtful. I recommend this place if you are looking for a tasty meal and amazing service.“
