“This is definitely a hidden gem in a small strip of San Carlos. My bestie took me here for a birthday dinner, so it was as my first time. The sushi is so fresh and everything we ate tasted delicious, melt in your mouth!!! The staff was fun and had great energy! My only caveat is they were not pacing the dishes and it felt a bit overwhelming. Especially since we were the only ones I. There for the longest time. We loved the attention, but yeah, the attention to timing needed to be present. I would recommend this spot to anyone though. It’s definitely cute for a date night of any kind, but also remember you are in San Carlos and not the city, and this is not in the downtown part.“

“What is the prize well in San Francisco airport to jump into this location of Vino Volo. Here they have quite a few selections of wines by the bottle that you can buy intake onto your flight… Customer service was outstanding with Frandel who guided me through some of the bottle selections and allow me to taste a wine before purchasing a glass… I didn’t have enough time to do a flight but if you have a layover in San Francisco do yourself a favor go meet Frandel and have him guide you through one of a number of flights designed to give you a experience of a reach or a varietal! I will definitely be back next time I’m at SFO!“

“Lovely family run asian restaurant. The husband wife duo running the kitchen and the front of house are wonderful hosts. We were recommended some really nice skewers- beef tongue, wagyu, chicken skin and cartilage, and shrimp dumplings, along with udon noodles. The quality of ingredients, the cook on everything was great and tasted so good we went back again. Any restaurant with great hospitality gets full marks from me. Asian hospitality at its best here. I mentioned to Gil that my only wish in this world was to go to the Super Bowl and to my absolute surprise, he bought me a ticket! I was stunned and so deeply moved. His kindness and generosity are truly rare and something I’ll never forget. The atmosphere at 840 Wine is warm and welcoming, the drinks are fantastic, and Gil’s heart is even bigger than the great wine selection. “Tacos dorado and enchiladas with dry fried beef! Got chicken tacos. The tacos were so crispy and meat was very flavorful! The enchiladas with dry fried beef was interesting. The beef is like a crispy beef jerky texture. I had a language barrier when ordering so just point what you want on the menu.“

“Great place to stay.. Apartments are definitely luxurious, high ceilings, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances etc. The staff at the ASHTON is incredible also. Property Manager Priscilla Navas always has a smile for you and keeps the building running like clock work. She also host a monthly themed tenant party that’s always fun. Stephanie is awesome as well, she’s quick to greet you and very helpful with daily packages dropped off at the building..The maintenance staff Rick is good at fixing just about anything and though I only had a few minor work orders since I’ve been here, he’s Johnny on the spot with getting the problem resolved. I’m very happy with the ASHTON and as long as I’m a resident of San Francisco, I plan to be a resident of the ASHTON!!“

“I loved the food. The only thing I didn't like so much was that the tables were very close together with little room to move around. The waitress had to walk sideways, her entire backside brushing against the edge of the table. They should distribute the space better.“

“Stopped in twice now. Small restaurant/bar. Ordered tofu stew, bossam, and of course KFC. Overall food is excellent. I really like the bossam here and I've tried both the beef and pork, I think I prefer the pork. KFC is crispy and moist.. Mandu is crunchy. Portion is good. Price is average for Korean. Small menu but what they have is good. Staff is always friendly. It can get a bit loud though.“

“Needed a break from the terminal chaos, so my travel companion and I sat down at Tapas and Taps for a quick bite. We decided to share a bottle of wine and an order of buffalo wings.

The food was great. The wings came out hot, fresh, and had a fantastic kick to them—definitely hit the spot. It was a nice, civilized way to spend an hour before boarding.

The only reason I’m not giving a perfect score is the service. Our server was incredibly nice, but she seemed to have about ten things on her mind at once. She kept coming back to our table before we were ready, practically hovering while we tried to decide on the wine, and seemed eager to rush us through the process. It wasn't rude, just very distracted. A little patience goes a long way, and I wish we hadn't felt so hurried. Great food, just hope the service is a bit more relaxed next time.“
