“Beautiful place, friendly staff, great wine 🍷”

“My wife and I ate here for dinner and had a fantastic experience. We had a couple different glasses of wine and our waiter was amazing at walking us through different samples of wine before we landed on ones we liked. The choices were great.

We were on our honeymoon and the waiter brought out complimentary glasses of rose sparkling wine which was delicious. We started with the beef tartar, the crudo, and sourdough rolls— each was delicious and a great start. Our main dishes were the pumpkin risotto and short rib, both delicious as well. The short rib was so tender it melted in my mouth. We ended with a toffee cake that was delicious and hit the spot.

The staff was incredible the entire time. Our waiter (I think Laura?) was amazing and even gave us a few recommendations on places to try during our visit, which we did!”

“Thoroughly enjoyed the ending to a marvelous day with Platypus Tours. This was our final stop. Loved it! Travis hosted us in the “speakeasy” (barrel room) and we thoroughly enjoyed his presentation. He welcomed us in, put us at ease and gave us a clearer understanding of Bennett Lane Winery and their selection. Highly recommend if you are on the northern end of the Napa Valley.”

“Made a reservation here for lunch while visiting Calistoga. We didn’t stay at this property but it was great to check out! Located at the Solage resort by the pool, you can’t sit by the pool (only for resort guests). We started with a round of tequila shots and ordered some drinks, I think I got the green flash. We got items to share for a party of 5. Elote, hearts of romaine salad, ceviches, squid/calamari. So fresh and so good. We did a. Variety of tacos— quesabirria, crispy avocado, and fish tacos. We devoured our meal it was so fresh and delicious! For dessert we got the churros and chocolate, flan, tres leches French toast, and Mangonada. Really good, service was good. Our server was super kind and friendly. It’s also such a relaxing and beautiful area while enjoying lunch by the pool on a nice and hot day. There’s hotel parking and not too far from the Calistoga festivities.”

“Napa Valley’s new hidden gem is Robert’s Tropical Table located in a converted breezeway/parking lot adjacent to the Mount View Hotel right here in Calistoga. Robert has been known for a decade as one of the handful of magical mixologists in our Valley having a long bar run at Sol Bar (until they closed for remodel and Covid) and then Brasswood before launching his rendition of a Jamaican Beach Cafe. His Ocho Rios roots come alive with a delicious selection of jerk chicken, pork belly, and wings with an escovitch fish perhaps better than mine. And never to be missed are the festival dumplings and a perfect Dark and Stormy. Open DAILY when the music is playing and gates are ajar (3pm to 10pm).”

“We had a great family dinner for our Taco Tuesday replacement whilst on vacation, really good comfort food - the chicken quesadilla was something else! We were early so it was quiet, and enjoyed great friendly and quick service.”

“Today, I visited the local ice cream shop in the afternoon with my sister. The staff were very friendly and offered us samples, including a delicious matcha flavor that has the right amount of sweetness. I highly recommend getting the strawberry and pistachio flavors together with their homemade waffle cone. A must when visiting Calistoga!🍦”

“The property, wine selection and insight from the Somolier's is always excellent. We visited on a rainy and cold day, still enjoyed. The experience takes about 90 minutes. The tasting fee is waived with a 2 bottle purchase per tasting.”

“We recently visited Calistoga for a wine tasting getaway. We stumbled upon August Briggs Winery while walking around and explore the downtown strip, and WHAT A FIND! Matt was so much fun to talk to and explained the intricacies of sourcing for various wines and considerations for selecting grapes for his wines. Not only did we learn a ton, but the wines were FABULOUS! We brought several bottles home and my partner has a list of new questions to ask next time we visit!

“We had a wonderful dinner there. Great menu, good wine selection, wonderful service. We shared arancini balls for an appetizer, a fantastic Napa salad with candied walnuts, apples and blue cheese, and then a Thai chicken pizza. We would get each one of these items a second time! It is our understanding they reopened with a new menu in March 2025. We were here in June and the menu is great. Definitely would recommend Palisades Eatery.”

“I was curious about Checkerboard Vineyards so my wife and I made an appointment to visit and tour the winery. Long story short, it was the highlight of our visit to the Napa Valley. Gary, our guide, walked us through the cave and gave us an overview of the property. He also provided a truly fantastic tasting experience with knowledgeable insights and great descriptions of the wines from each of the vineyards on the property. We really appreciated the singular attention during our visit along with great conversation. I highly recommend this winery tour and their wines!”

“I love coming to Indian Springs. It’s really one of my favorite places. It’s relaxing, beautiful and well kept property. The rooms are lovely and the beds so comfortable! Unfortunately, they require a 2 night minimum. Even during the week. That’s a bummer but really if I could stay a week I would!”

“My wife and I visited Newton Napa Valley February 18, 2023. It was a private tasting hosted by a very knowledgeable, respectful and kind young man named Edgar Macias. Our entire experience, from greeting to our wine tasting with a splendid charcuterie, to our departure, was magnificent. My wife enjoyed the 2016 Mt. Veeder Cab and my favorite was the 2016 Spring Mountain Cab. We have been to Napa before but this experience at Newton was the best by far, for both of us. We learned so much from Edgar about the grape growing process, the vineyards and the climate for this batch of wine year 2016. I wanted to thank Mr. Macias for help making this tasting a memorable one. His hospitality is superior and we wish him the best! Newton makes a superb Chardonnay as well. If you are reading this review, I strongly recommend this vineyard/winery.”

“Really neat spot. The food was really good. Felt pricy at first, but it's Calistoga and it was well made- good quality, worth the price. Both food & cocktails were fancy & high quality. The train cars were fabulous to visit, decorated in fun themes. The employees were all friendly & went out of their way to give us a wonderful, fun experience.”

“We had just finished a mud bath and massage treatment near by and were starving! Most of the weekend was american food and we were having Asian food withdraw!

This place hit the spot. We ordered the calamari, the crying tiger, and the drunken noodles beef. Every single dish was delicious. But the crying tiger was one of the most flavorful ones I had ever had. The calamari was super fresh as well. The service was very attentive. I was not expecting authentic Thai in a small town.”

“Wow this was such an amazing vineyard! We did the hilltop experience and upgraded our tasting to the Library Tasting and the Cab Sav tasting. Was fun to do something different and share both experiences. The gondola's were fun! Very clean and easy to use and a great addition to see Napa Valley. The team were all lovely, very friendly and welcoming and helpful. But I would add that they gave us the right amount of space to spend time chatting about the wines on our own. Loved the gift shop - great additions to the wine purchases. Highly recommend this as a stop whilst in Napa Valley!”

“Truss and Believe 😍 • We are staying at the BEAUTIFUL Four Seasons Napa Valley and caught lunch at their restaurant Truss. Highly recommend everything we have tried over the past week but I’ll narrow down some for this post 🤭. From the views overlooking the TWO pools to the villas scattered amongst actual grape vines, everything was perfection. For bites, we got the Salmon, Truffle Fries, Tuna Crudo & Mezzi Rigatoni. Chefs kiss on everything ordered 🤌🏻 But we can’t forget about the cocktails, riiiight?! We chose Pick Me Up (tweak espressotini), Fennel Wears Prada, Smokey the Pear and Spring is Here. All superb and full of flavor 😋 • If you ever get a chance to come to Napa Valley and stay at the Four Seasons Calistoga, don’t skip out on Truss. Truss and Believe me, you won’t regret any choice here 😍”

“Locals visiting out of curiosity. Food was very good. Poolside location was really nice even on a 95 degree day. Lots of shade. The only downside were the yellow jackets. We have them at our home at this time of year as well. The traps were hanging very close to the tables. One was right above our head. Hanging the yellow jacket traps away from the food/guest area might be a better solution. Other than that everything was great. We will recommend and return.”

“What a great place to stay! The room was so cute and the shared bathroom is not a problem. We also ate at the restaurant. I had the ribeye cut it with a butter knife try it with the wine sauce a must. My son had sausage ricattoni he said was great also. The adult beverages were very good I had the Banana Na Na my son had the beer. I would recommend this place again and again.”

“Delicious Chinese food! I had the crispy ginger chicken. I loved that it was not super breaded but you can actually taste the chicken. We ordered pork potstickers, fried rice and Szechuan pork and it was all fabulous. Service was prompt and servers were very kind. Great place!”

“This place was AMAZING! While visiting Napa Valley did the whole wine tasting experience, and was not disappointed. This was some of the tastiest wine I've ever had. Especially the pinot noir. Our server for wine tasting was exceptional. Moreover, the grounds are spectacular. There is a full chapel and tasting room and castle that make you feel like you are really in Tuscany. The grounds have animals including goats and emus. The beauty of this place is breathtaking. I will be dreaming about it.”
