“Came here for a late lunch. Delighted to find a variety of dumpling flavors/fillings as well as different ways of cooking (boiled, pan-fried/pot sticker, and deep-fried). Got an order of pork and veggies boiled and an order of shrimp and chicken pan-fried (order = 10 pieces). Dumplings are handmade (they were making some when we entered) and have the typical thick wrap - but not too thick and not dense. Typical sauce and hot sauce are available, as well as soy sauce. Both were delicious. We will definitely return next time we're in the area. Looking forward to trying other menu items.“

“No wait for a table, staff friendly and efficient, everything clean and folded napkins waiting for guests. Price was a little high for one person, but portions big enough for two.
I don't know what the special ingredient was in their foil wrapped chicken, but it added a subtle floral note that was tastier than any other I've had. In short, it was yummy!“

“This is my 2nd time here and it’s the absolute best place to eat. Before I had chicken vegetables and recently vegetables and tofu. I mostly eat vegetables and they offer a good portion of vegetables without skimping like so many other restaurants do. Not Bok choy. They work hard and are very attentive to their customers. “Asian Pearl Cuisine in Placerville is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu is packed with authentic dishes, but I have to highlight a few standouts from my visit: the fried wontons, the duck, and the lettuce wraps.

The fried wontons were crispy, golden perfection with a filling that was seasoned just right—no need for any extra sauces, though their house dipping sauce was a great complement. The duck was absolutely succulent, with a crispy skin that gave way to tender, flavorful meat. It’s clear they put a lot of care into preparing this dish, as it’s easily one of the best I’ve had in the area. Lastly, the lettuce wraps were a refreshing balance to the richness of the duck, with fresh, crisp lettuce and a savory filling that was both light and satisfying.

The service was top-notch, with staff that were attentive without being overbearing, making sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. If you’re ever in Placerville and craving some high-quality Asian cuisine, Asian Pearl is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning to try more of their menu!

“Went in Sunday (10/12/25) for lunch after leaving another local Chinese establishment that wanted to charge $13 for a small bowl of hot-n-sour soup and no rice came with entrees.

The Sunny Garden was great. The orange chicken was crisp and fresh, and the chow mein was excellent. The string beans were crisp and not overcooked. We got out of there for less than half of the other place and were very pleased (full).

I found a new favorite Chinese restaurant for when I'm in Folsom. Thank you Summer Garden for the excellent food.“
