The texture? Surprisingly satisfying. It’s like they found the perfect ratio of crunch to sponginess, somewhere between “delightful” and “why does this remind me of memory foam?” But hey, they taste great, and that’s what matters when you’re ignoring the fact that they’ve probably been on more journeys through industrial machinery than your average car engine.

If I ever have to barter during the apocalypse, a box of McNuggets might just be the gold standard of currency. Because even in the darkest of times, humanity will cling to its one true comfort: fried mystery meat that tastes delicious with the Fire Direction 🔥 🐦“

“I stumbled upon this place biking along HWY 101. I ordered the Lowers. Strawberries, banana, Pnut Butter, and Granola acai bowl. I had them add coconut chips. I don't eat a lot of acai I've only had a few but this is the best one I've ever had. It was very well made. Lots of peanut butter so I didn't run out. It was served with the nice Dome top that I turned over and put half the plentiful fruit into so I had it throughout the whole bowl. I just can't stop thinking about how good it was I can't wait to go back next time I am in the area“

They’ve got a nice seating that allows for people-watching and most importantly, they support other small bakeries & businesses by carrying their goods. “This morning, I enjoyed a cup of coffee, with my wife, at Steady State Roasting. The first thing I noticed was the open and airy atmosphere. The hanging plants only added to the ambiance. My wife delightfully sipped from a latte, while I had a house coffee. The house coffee was uniquely flavored, a bit bitter. Steady State Roasting has reusable stirring spoons, which is eco-friendly. Finally, they offer indoor and outdoor seating, to optimize the moment. Yes, this experience was worthy of a return visit.“

“I recently stopped in to get a coffee while waiting for a shuttle to go to LAX. At the time I thought both staff members were extremely friendly and the coffee was delicious as I waited for my ride outside. A few days later I realized I left my hydro flask outside on one of their tables and I was back in Charlotte NC. I reached out to them and Jason was extremely responsive and sent it back to me no questions asked. This just shows you the type of quality individuals that work here and having killer coffee and a clean cool establishment are icing on the cake. Anytime I’m in Oceanside, I will be definitely stopping in!“

“A few months ago our nonprofit organization was looking for a place where our families could meet up to enjoy some amazing coffee and socialize a bit. Our Angels at Right Hand Angels are disabled and many times they are not accepted in the community. That is not the case here. Each time we have walked in our families have been greeted with kindness, dignity and respect. The staff and owner is always quick to make a smile or chat for a few and even have made some great selections on foods and the game chess. One of our athletes in particular is very quick to claim his favorite chair where he can visually see everything and everyone around him in hopes to make small talk with families. Socialization is so very important to them. We think nothing but the world of this facility and highly recommend the dirty spiced chai and avocado toast. Join them. Atmosphere is very pleasant and wheelchair accessible.“

“I hit up cosmic bloom to meet a friend for coffee last week. It was my first time there but I had an amazing maple bourbon flavored iced coffee that the owner recommended. It was probably one of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had. Furthermore the overall atmosphere and vibe here is on another level. I love the collection of VHS movies on the shelves. “I want to say yes and recommend them. But I can't because I have a subscription to their coffee but they sent me the wrong coffee. it's been about a week, I've call a few times, left two voice mail messages, I've emailed as well and I have not gotten any response at all. The coffee I bought and subscribed to is good, but I can't continue to do business with a company that won't respond to their customers to fix their mistakes.“

“This place is the cutest. And they have the yummiest tea ever. I love the pink decor and small deliberate choices to make each and every experience on your visit memorable. I'm not a huge fan of their homemade bread, but I think it's vegan bread. I appreciate the attention to detail and care, but I would also like some choices for bread. Other than that, we haven't tried much else, so it's hard to make a firm opinion about the food when I haven't had much. But, the bathroom is also very nice, and the place has a homey feeling and nice staff. It's worth a try.

“We stopped by Lofty Coffee this morning because the Turkish latte on the menu sounded interesting, and after trying their drinks and food I am very surprised that they don’t have a 5 star rating. This coffee place is for you if you love flavorful coffee that has very balanced flavors of herb/spices and isn’t super sweet and syrupy. My husband got the seasonal peppermint latte and I got the Turkish latte and both were amazing.

Their made in-house pastries are also DELICIOUS! The matcha doughnut, which was topped with crushed pistachios and dried rose petals, is a must try! We also enjoyed their orange-cranberry rosemary scone so much that we grabbed an extra to go after we devoured the first one. You really can’t beat freshly made pastries and flavorful coffee.“

“Love this cafe! They had many delicious specialty lattes to choose from. We got the spiced pear iced latte (recommended by barista) and the lavender vanilla iced latte, both sooo good! They make their syrups in house so the drinks are very flavorful and not too sweet. The espresso itself was great. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and fast, though we weren’t in a rush. They don’t have a ton of seating inside (just a few tables) but it has a cute interior, and a cute patio with more tables too. 10/10!!

“Oh my gosh, I wish I would have known about this place sooner! Lovely little place, very sweet employee. We had the DELICIOUS gelato there, and took a chocolate cheesecake to go. As we finished our transaction, that last croissant was calling to me. There was a customer behind us, so I let her go ahead, silently whispering *just please don't buy the croissant*. She didn't and I was able to! Getting in the car I asked hubby if he wanted some. He said no, he wanted to get home and heat it up. Idk if he thought that was going to deter me, but I can guarantee you it did not. I took one bite and immediately regretted that there had been only one and as a good wife I was going to have to share this. I am unaware of what I said after that, but hubby decided he needed to try it and in 3 min it was gone. The whole thing.
Now let me say this, I have eaten more than my share of baked goods. Some people smoke, some people drink. I like my sweets. And I can generally tell when things are made with butter versus shortening. This was butter. It was amazing. If I knew when they came out of the oven, I would be there, because I can only imagine how wonderful that would be. I can't wait to go back and try more things, but I will call first to set aside a croissant. Or two. Or five.“
