Cindy the manager was sweet and apologized, and made everything right. She knows what she is doing, and made me feel comfortable talking to her. She got down to the bottom of the problem and made sure to talk to the team members about the issue.“

“I love how this small , family-owned business is located conveniently on Mission Ave. Great service and they have some pastries & vegan sweets too. They’ve got a nice seating that allows for people-watching and most importantly, they support other small bakeries & businesses by carrying their goods. It’s a win-win and I love that for our community.“

The staff? Super friendly, sharp, and welcoming. The whole team has that effortless cool energy — and yes, Oceanside definitely hires well. Professional, quick, smiling, and on point.

Now let’s talk about the real reason we’re here: the coffee. Six bucks. Amazing quality. And they even throw in cookies. I mean… come on. In 2026, that’s basically a miracle. Strong, smooth, perfectly balanced — not that burnt chain-store nonsense. You can tell they care.

Honestly, this is probably the best coffee spot right by the beach in Oceanside. Great crowd, great atmosphere, great product. Whether you’re closing deals, on a date, or just pretending to journal while people-watching — this is the move.

“Super fun atmosphere. Loved all the merch they had. Wish they had hand soaps, but they've only got the bar soaps.

I also wish they had pictures to accompany their menu. I suppose it doesn't matter too much. Bananas can be quite overpowering, so maybe many drinks are very much just banana 🤔
I'm not sure how I felt about my Blue Mylk, but the whole experience was fun overall. I'd like to come again and see if my theory holds any substance or there is a good variety of drinks to try.“

“I manage a law firm in the area and this Better Buzz has a five star customer service mentality! Literally made my day after a terrible spill. Shilo the manager could not have been more helpfull. “Because of its simplicity the shop is more unique than others.
I guess you can't call it a shop because it doesn't feel like it. Instead it feels like a place. It's an open air alleyway where you are surrounded by interesting staghorn ferns and small succulents.
The barista is a some guy running a stand at the end of the alley but even his coffee is delicious, quickly prepped, and I have seen it customized to your taste.
Because it's in a very tall alley, it will get chilly even on a sunny morning.
Only a few tables available but I noticed a lot of people take their drinks to go.“

“A few months ago our nonprofit organization was looking for a place where our families could meet up to enjoy some amazing coffee and socialize a bit. Our Angels at Right Hand Angels are disabled and many times they are not accepted in the community. That is not the case here. Each time we have walked in our families have been greeted with kindness, dignity and respect. The staff and owner is always quick to make a smile or chat for a few and even have made some great selections on foods and the game chess. One of our athletes in particular is very quick to claim his favorite chair where he can visually see everything and everyone around him in hopes to make small talk with families. Socialization is so very important to them. We think nothing but the world of this facility and highly recommend the dirty spiced chai and avocado toast. Join them. Atmosphere is very pleasant and wheelchair accessible.“

“Pour over cup of coffee was pretty tasteful and accompanying oatmeal raisan cookie was good. Fairly high priced though. Pleasant eclectic beachy atmosphere clean and neat. Usually busy with parking sometimes a challenge. Definitely worth checking out.“

“Literally ordered coffee 3 days in a row from El Kafecito. I was in Escondido visiting family and one of the things I enjoy doing is trying little coffee shops in the general area and one look at El Kafecito's menu and I was SOLD! I tried the horchata late which was delicious but not mind blowing... It reminded me of a vanilla latte. I'm not usually a mocha girl but their iced Mexican mocha was tasty! The winner for me was the dulce de leche latte. Oh my gosh. I am partial to caramel coffee flavors so I'm not surprised I loved it. All in all I wish I had an El Kafecito in my hometown, I feel like I'm already going through withdrawals lol. Beats out any big brand coffee company by far. Please give this wonderful place your business. You won't regret it!“

“A very quality coffee shop to get a “real” coffee beverage in a sea of Starbucks and commercialized coffee options.

The vibe is hip and modern, and the seasonal offerings are very unique and very good. A winter flavor that really hit was the orange vanilla pine latte. I avoid carbs but hubby had it and it was really balanced and creative.

They sell cute and functional merch as well as the beans! They roast a spectrum from light Ethiopian to medium Mexican, to espresso roast and mix of medium and dark. Decaf, too, I observed- processed minimally.

Bonus- the food looked very premium. And the Pop Pie is right next door.

I have to admit I was there twice in one day – I didn’t mean to, it just made sense the way my day was going.

I guess that means I definitely would, have already returned!“

But I can't because I have a subscription to their coffee but they sent me the wrong coffee. it's been about a week, I've call a few times, left two voice mail messages, I've emailed as well and I have not gotten any response at all. “The Morning Grove in Carlsbad has such a cozy, welcoming vibe and a menu that makes it hard to choose just one thing. We tried a variety of items and honestly enjoyed almost everything. The Grove sliders were flavorful and filling, and the tomato soup with grilled cheese was classic comfort food done right. The caprese panini was fresh and balanced, while the chili crunch toast had a great kick and unique texture.
The wraps were solid too the buffalo chicken wrap had a nice heat, and the Golden wrap was hearty and satisfying. For drinks and dessert, the candy cane cold brew was festive and fun, and the toasted s’mores was the perfect sweet ending to the meal.

“As a tea drinker this presentation felt sophisticated and the chamomile strength was delicious and soothing. The freshness and rainbow colors of this bowl complemented the light delicate dressing. The watermelon radish added a pungent spice and with a dollop of hummus was perfectly balanced. Felt light and healthy and was a great vegan option. The music was mellow and the volume matched the mood of the time of day. Will be back again and try more of the not coffee menu.“

“Adorable coffee shop right across the street from our hotel. Great energy and vibe, and the customer service is fantastic. The music was fun and the place felt lively. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

We ordered the Mexican mocha and it was delicious. I’m very picky about Mexican mochas and this was one of the best I’ve had.

We also tried the ham and cheese croissant, the avocado feta toast (no tomatoes for the picky eaters in our group), and the OG açaí bowl. Everything was fresh and tasty.

“This tea is different! When I opened the bad, I could feel the energy of it. That has never happened before and I'm a Spiritual Medium. My aunt got me a detox tea for my birthday a couple weeks ago. I started brewing a cup every morning. My environmental allergies were so bad before I started drinking this that I had to take allergy medicine every day. I haven't taken any allergy medicine since I started drinking this tea. Highly, highly recommend.“
