“I really wanted to love my burger, but it tasted kind of fishy maybe it was cooked on the same grill as some seafood. The staff, though, was super sweet and you can tell it’s a loving, family run place. I don’t live in the area, just passing through, so I probably won’t be back. But if you’re into Hawaiian food and culture, definitely stop by and check it out. It’s easy to get in and out of, and there’s plenty of parking.“

Tried Granny’s Apple Fries for the first time and absolutely loved them — perfectly crispy and sweet, a unique and fun treat! On my second visit, they were a bit disappointing with some broken and slightly soggy fries, but the flavor is still amazing. They ran out of ice cream as well and it was barely 1 pm.
Definitely a must-try snack at LEGOLAND, especially for first-timers looking for something different and delicious.“

We placed a large catering order (over 400 sandwiches!) for a company event, and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was ready to go, even coming in to work at midnight the night before. I stopped in at the Vista Taco Bell around 8:45 PM and used the kiosk to place my order. After waiting for a bit, I found out my order had accidentally been handed to someone else. Mistakes happen — but how the staff handled it really stood out.

They immediately acknowledged the mix-up and got to work remaking everything without hesitation. No excuses, no frustration — just quick, respectful, and professional service. Everyone stayed cool under pressure and moved with urgency.

The food was fresh, hot, and exactly what I ordered the second time around. As a business owner myself (SwoleTheBarber LLC, working out of Kingdom Kutz in downtown Vista), I truly respect good customer service — and this team delivered.

“I ordered the 2 piece meal with brocolli, pinto beans, and corn tortillas. I had a side of the avocado hot sauce and the red hot sauce. The chicken was tender and moist, not dry, flavorful, and well marinated. The broccoli was not overcooked and soggy but steamed just right with a little bit of crisp to it. My pinto beans had a great flavor with a little bit of a spicy kick, which I love.The cashier was attentive and engaging. He was polite and had a smile when saying hi and bye. In our experience whenever we order without being in the store (for pickup) we have a 50% chance of our food being totally wrong. When it’s right, it’s my favorite fast sub place and is ?! But… Tonight was particularly frustrating. We ordered 2 wraps, a bowl and a sub. Every single item was wrong. Of course, we don’t know that until we get home and open the food. I’m not one to call and complain because there’s nothing I can do now at 6:30pm but for $56, I expect there to be at least an effort to customize the sandwiches in the way we took the time to select on the Jersey Mikes app. Make sure you double check every time and from now on I’ll only order in store so I can watch and check when it’s made. “The drive thru is typically always quick at this location. The food has always been freshly made never cold, never room temperature either. It is always good.The one working the drive thru is very friendly and demonstrates excellent customer care. I enjoy hearing them say "you, got it" "would that complete your order?" (instead of saying is that all) "have a good night".“

“Most people who eat Taco Bell use the drive thru bc they are ashamed to be seen eating in public, not me. I'm proud to eat Taco Bell inside. Wanna know why? They blast the AC here, think 65 degrees in the movie theater type cold. It's so cold it will chill your food if you let it sit for a few minutes, so eat quick. I know I do.

They have the kiosks like McDonalds, but they also have somone at the counter more often than not, unlike McDonalds who you have to get their attention if your not using the app/kiosk.

They promote their items by profit. The bigger the exclusive the more profit. The values and deals are all squished in the corner, get a box it's cheaper than anything except a rewards offer on the app. Their rewards are mid compared to Jack and mcdonalds.

Food is on the higher end for Taco Bells. There is alot of advertising about jobs here, but there isn't alot of turn over. It's fairly clean and the staff if nice, even when they don't know you yet, and yes they know me by my orders.

One of the last fast foods with actual working soda fountain. The water dispensed is cold and not room temp like other places.

I'm still a kid at heart where I tend to get the classics (hard/soft tacos, crunch wrap supreme, quesadilla, chalupa, beefy 5). I still miss the old stuff like the enchirito and find the cantina versions to be the quality of old at an elevated price and not worth it.

I used to come here late night drunk, but now I come here mid day and it's just fine.“

“Tasty, but My Wallet is Crying

Let’s be real: Five Guys makes a great burger. Thick, juicy, cooked perfectly. Fries? A little overdone this time, but better too-crispy than sad and soggy, and at least they salted them right. Plus, free peanuts while you wait is always a fun way to justify shoveling food into your face before your actual food arrives.

The drink machines are also a win since you can customize your soda like you’re a mad scientist, refill as many times as you want, and feel no shame about it. Service? Solid. Taste? Solid.

Now for the not-so-delicious part: the price tag. When my burger + fries + drink + milkshake costs the same as two full meals at In-N-Out, something’s wrong with this picture. I mean, why is a milkshake seven bucks? For that price, I expect at least a song and dance number with whipped cream choreography. And don’t even get me started on the parking... good luck finding a spot unless you enjoy doing NASCAR laps around the lot.

So yeah, great food, but it shouldn’t cost me twenty-five bucks just to walk away full and mildly resentful. If they knocked 25% off the price, this would be an easy five-star. Until then… my taste buds are happy, but my bank account is filing for emotional damages.“

“The food as always is great and why not a full 5 stars, is the commercial I saw that says you can swap your fries for free; To either onion rings or chicken fries, I decided to swap for the chicken fries. I was then told there would only be 4!!!! chicken fries and if I wanted more then I would have to pay more.“

“A Mixed Experience with Great Potential
I'm torn on how to rate this place because my visit had two very different parts. The food was fantastic—the service was also excellent; the staff was friendly and efficient.
However, the checkout process was really frustrating. I had to go back to my car to get my wallet, & when I returned, a family had just walked in. I was prepared to wait my turn, but the cashier called me up next. From what I could gather, they explained the situation to the family in Spanish, and everyone—including the cashier—was laughing. I use a walker, and I was just standing there, feeling left out and a bit embarrassed because no one bothered to explain what was so funny.
While the food and initial service were great, the lack of communication at the end left a sour taste.“

“It's rare to find a value equal or better than In-N-Out, but Carl's has with its California XL Combo. Under $10 for the burger medium combo meal. Burger was delicious with fresh ingredients and large patties. Fries were good as well. Employees were excellent and friendly. Resturant was reasonably clean for amount of staff on hand. Biggest disappointment, not of just this establishment, but Carl's Jr. as a whole is their choice of color scheme just like a lot of establishments these days are what I call Clinical Grey. It's just not friendly and inviting. Go back to the old school decor and brighten the place up.“

The place as extremely clean and well stocked and Shift Leader Kimberly was more than helpful with correcting our order, she handled the customers with ease showing great customer service. “I had to take a moment to appreciate the Panda Express on Douglas Street in Oceanside. Every visit is consistently great, and a lot of that comes down to the manager, Enrique. He’s clearly built a culture where the staff is friendly, warm, and genuinely cares about the customer experience.

The customer service here is exceptional—everyone greets you with a smile, the line moves quickly, and you always feel welcome. On top of that, the food is always fresh, which makes it even more inviting to come back again and again.

Hibachi San has some of the best-priced poke bowls around—super fresh and super satisfying. It’s the perfect stop if you’re craving something light but filling. I love grabbing a bowl and heading to the beach for a chill lunch with a view. The portions are generous, the flavors are on point, and the service is always friendly. Definitely one of my go-to spots! My only complaint is the portion is a bit small and they don't offer poke by the pound like in hawaii.“
