“The taste is different, not in a bad way. With so much chicken options it is a nice kick to the taste buds. The sauce options are an explosion. One of the 4 has your traditional chicken figure taste but still unique and not a copy. The other 3 are very unique and worth the try. Chicken can be eaten plain, like popcorn chicken from other places. Only negative is the hours of operation but I understand for the area. I ordered online and it was nothing difficult, able to use Apple pay.“

“We are from Texas. 10 years ago we found surf brothers and the food is delicious! We ordered teriyaki chicken with white rice. We always stop by and take some home when we visit San Diego. The teriyaki sauce is amazing. This place is clean and the staff are friendly.“

Granny Smith apples lightly battered, fried, and dusted with cinnamon & sugar. They are crunchy bits packed with sweet and tart goodness of apple with a hint of cinnamon.

Then dip it in the vanilla whip cream and heaven.

Now just to be honest, not all are crunchy bits, some are softer, but those are just as delicious, just not crunchy haha.

If you're ever at Legoland, it's a must especially if you have a sweet tooth.“

Let’s be real: Five Guys makes a great burger. Thick, juicy, cooked perfectly. Fries? A little overdone this time, but better too-crispy than sad and soggy, and at least they salted them right. Plus, free peanuts while you wait is always a fun way to justify shoveling food into your face before your actual food arrives.

The drink machines are also a win since you can customize your soda like you’re a mad scientist, refill as many times as you want, and feel no shame about it. Service? Solid. Taste? Solid.

Now for the not-so-delicious part: the price tag. When my burger + fries + drink + milkshake costs the same as two full meals at In-N-Out, something’s wrong with this picture. I mean, why is a milkshake seven bucks? For that price, I expect at least a song and dance number with whipped cream choreography. And don’t even get me started on the parking... good luck finding a spot unless you enjoy doing NASCAR laps around the lot.

So yeah, great food, but it shouldn’t cost me twenty-five bucks just to walk away full and mildly resentful. If they knocked 25% off the price, this would be an easy five-star. Until then… my taste buds are happy, but my bank account is filing for emotional damages.“

Vegetarian options: I substitute black beans for meat. Tastes better anyways.

Parking: Small cramped lot. Go for the drive thru. It's fast.“

“It's rare to find a value equal or better than In-N-Out, but Carl's has with its California XL Combo. Under $10 for the burger medium combo meal. Burger was delicious with fresh ingredients and large patties. Fries were good as well. Employees were excellent and friendly. Resturant was reasonably clean for amount of staff on hand. Biggest disappointment, not of just this establishment, but Carl's Jr. as a whole is their choice of color scheme just like a lot of establishments these days are what I call Clinical Grey. It's just not friendly and inviting. Go back to the old school decor and brighten the place up.“

“A Mixed Experience with Great Potential
I'm torn on how to rate this place because my visit had two very different parts. The food was fantastic—the service was also excellent; the staff was friendly and efficient.
However, the checkout process was really frustrating. I had to go back to my car to get my wallet, & when I returned, a family had just walked in. I was prepared to wait my turn, but the cashier called me up next. From what I could gather, they explained the situation to the family in Spanish, and everyone—including the cashier—was laughing. I use a walker, and I was just standing there, feeling left out and a bit embarrassed because no one bothered to explain what was so funny.
While the food and initial service were great, the lack of communication at the end left a sour taste.“

“Typical Chick-fil-A good food great service.
This is a strange one though as there is no drive-thru, only pick-up parking spaces which are just regular parking.
This is very busy location as there is a In and Out next to it.
The in and Out take all the spaces and its drive-thru makes it hard to get in its entrance road as it wraps all the way around to the street.
Go past the light and go in its back entrance if your coming off the 5.. despite all this I've never had much of wait..“

“I ordered the 2 piece meal with brocolli, pinto beans, and corn tortillas. I had a side of the avocado hot sauce and the red hot sauce. The chicken was tender and moist, not dry, flavorful, and well marinated. The broccoli was not overcooked and soggy but steamed just right with a little bit of crisp to it. My pinto beans had a great flavor with a little bit of a spicy kick, which I love.The cashier was attentive and engaging. He was polite and had a smile when saying hi and bye. The speed of service was amazing, as they cut my chicken and got my meal to me quickly. Great experience at this location!“

“I went into this La Costa location today to grab lunch and I just had to leave a review because the staff were incredible. They were absolutely SLAMMED and they didn’t skip a beat. Everyone was so on top of their game, putting sandwiches together quickly but not at all sloppily and they were all so friendly and wonderful. I was so impressed with them I asked for their names because they deserve to be recognized for their hard work. The crew today consisted of Jenn, Kaitlyn, Chris, Alexa and Shaun and they absolutely SLAYED today! Thank you so much for being amazing!! You made a big difference in my day 🖤“
