“Have always had a great experience at The Money Pit; except for today (10/28/24). My wife and I stopped for lunch and ordered 2 hamburgers, 1 fry, and 2 drinks. At the time of ordering your employee gave me a to-go carrier for the two drinks, and I told her that we were eating at the Money Pit. She gave me two cups for the drinks. I paid the bill of $20.04 with cash, and she gave me my change. She seemed very put out that I was not taking the drinks and food out. Anyway, when they brought the meal, there were 3 hamburgers, not 2. I said I ordered 2 and she basically told me I was lying and walked away. If you get a server about 30-35 years old, 5'4" tall, with glasses at the Money Pit expect to be treated in a rude matter. Never happened to me in the past (over 10 years of eating there), and I hope you don't have to deal with this employee.“

“First time in California. Tried In N Out in Santa Monica - absolutely terrible. My first impression was that In N Out was just a basic flavorless burger.

However, gave it a 2nd try while visiting some family in San Marcos. It was like night and day. Our cashier was super nice and patient with me as I figure out what I want. The burger tasted so much better. Very happy with this experience.“

The food was delicious and everyone was satisfied with their portions. The house green and red salsas are the best. Typical menu of burgers, chicken sandwhiches, fries, milkshakes, etc. The burger and chicken patties are delicious, especially the buffalo chicken sandwhich. In fact, all of their condiments are so good I wish I could buy large containers of them for home. Oat milkshakes are fantastic. This Escondido location is take out only, ordered through the app.“

“I Love going to old burger joints when traveling. Stopped here while in town for work. The burger was so fresh and chili cheese fries were bomb! The staff was so inviting and continuous checked that the everything was okay.

Also has more meat and fresher ingredients. Have to say I have found my torta shop even if its across town from my house.It is worth the distance for the better quality. I watched him do the manager’s job plus everybody else’s while others stood around laughing and hanging out. The difference in work ethic was impossible to miss.

I had been waiting on my order, and Jay immediately noticed, took control of the situation, got things moving, and made sure my food was handled quickly and correctly while the rest of the store looked completely checked out.

“The drive thru line was crazy long so I decided to park and go inside to pickup my mobile order, the main entrance to the restaurant was blocked with cones so I had to go around to the side of the building to get inside. Was quite busy when I went there but food was great. 👍“

“I'm writing this preview to acknowledge Jay for exceptional service hard work. She answers the phone. She takes the order. When you arrive she is the cashier. And then to my surprise she's also cooking the pizza. While waiting for the pizzas to be finished she is preparing the line with boxes and stickers and all at a very fast rate and all the time making sure that pizza come out correctly. If I was still in the position to do so today I would offer her a job without thinking twice. Regardless of experience I could tell in a few minutes that she could adapt to any situation and be an amazing employee. Thank you Jay.“

They were low on bread and had run out, so I went with a wrap instead, and they still made it work with my specific sandwich requests. Everyone was polite and great to talk to. “They were way understaffed for a lunch rush on a sunday. Only three people on sift. The three people working did great under the pressure. Wish management would have given them atleast two more people so the line could have moved better, and so mistakes were made, but the staff even though short handed were very welcoming and fixed my order promptly.“

“I could not get to this place due to it being inside a Target store. Who wants to deal with that? That parking lot has had numerous fender benders due to rude people in a hurry. I skipped this place and went deeper into Escondido to Round Table Pizza and that made my day.

Parking: Crazy. People will walk behind your car like you aren’t even there. Everyone is in a hurry to get ran over line it’s Death Race 3024! It shouldn’t be this difficult or stressful to get a personal sized pizza. Skip this place that already has below average reviews and go somewhere else. Pieology is right across the street. They are a pizza place with better parking and less suicidal foot traffic idiots.“
