“Have always had a great experience at The Money Pit; except for today (10/28/24). My wife and I stopped for lunch and ordered 2 hamburgers, 1 fry, and 2 drinks. At the time of ordering your employee gave me a to-go carrier for the two drinks, and I told her that we were eating at the Money Pit. She gave me two cups for the drinks. I paid the bill of $20.04 with cash, and she gave me my change. She seemed very put out that I was not taking the drinks and food out. Anyway, when they brought the meal, there were 3 hamburgers, not 2. I said I ordered 2 and she basically told me I was lying and walked away. If you get a server about 30-35 years old, 5'4" tall, with glasses at the Money Pit expect to be treated in a rude matter. Never happened to me in the past (over 10 years of eating there), and I hope you don't have to deal with this employee.“

Also has more meat and fresher ingredients. Have to say I have found my torta shop even if its across town from my house.It is worth the distance for the better quality. “I checked out Mexico Lindo on South Juniper Street in Escondido recently and was really impressed! First from the outside, such a beautiful tree lined sidewalk and nostalgic façade. There is also parking and an entrance in the rear. This family run establishment could not have been more homey and comforting. Very old-school plastic covered, vibrant Mexican tablecloths, tables dotted with crusty bottles of hot sauce and so forth. The place is really a throwback to a bygone era in dining. Worthwhile visiting just for the vibe. The service itself was outstanding. Warm, friendly, welcoming, and personable. I felt like part of la familia the whole time.

The menu here features many of the Mexican restaurant basics like enchiladas, burritos, tacos, seafood, etc. I ordered the enchiladas, one cheese and one chicken. Both come smothered with their delicious, richly flavored mole sauce. Topped with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and crema. Such an excellent dish despite the enchiladas being rather conservatively filled. Not sure if they have chips & salsa service here but I wasn’t offered any. My Modelo Especial was served in a bottle, nicely chilled with a side of lime wedges. I look forward to visiting again soon. Highly recommended if you haven’t been.“

“This is super convenient. Simply order online, and they bring the order to your car. I don't believe they have any indoor or outdoor seating. Only to go. But for takeaway, it's perfect.

“Where’s the BEEF!! You can barely see the thinnest layer of beef! I like this place and employees for the most part but this was a F failure, they must be short on beef ? If I had paid full price I would have complained to the manager and asked for another but since I got this on a Tuesday drop I’ll just post it here. It definitely changes my mind about stopping here in the future.
Update ; later that night i went to another TB (Escondido blvd) and got the same crunch wrap supreme and it was the SAME!! A slither brush wipe of beef!!!
The thing is i live 1hr 40minutes round trip away from any fast food, so I may be a bit more sensitive to miss cues but 2 locations on the same day is just upsetting!!“

“The drive thru line was crazy long so I decided to park and go inside to pickup my mobile order, the main entrance to the restaurant was blocked with cones so I had to go around to the side of the building to get inside. Was quite busy when I went there but food was great. 👍“

I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience had to be shared. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Burrito through the drive-thru, and WOW—absolute flavor explosion! The melted cheese on the outside of the burrito is pure genius. It’s like they wrapped it in a blanket of golden, cheesy perfection. One bite and my taste buds were completely blown away.

I was so impressed, I literally parked and went back inside to order a second one just to see how this masterpiece was made. Yes, it was that good. Melty, savory, perfectly grilled, and packed with flavor. Hats off to whoever came up with this recipe—this is next-level fast food.

“I'm writing this preview to acknowledge Jay for exceptional service hard work. She answers the phone. She takes the order. When you arrive she is the cashier. And then to my surprise she's also cooking the pizza. While waiting for the pizzas to be finished she is preparing the line with boxes and stickers and all at a very fast rate and all the time making sure that pizza come out correctly. If I was still in the position to do so today I would offer her a job without thinking twice. Regardless of experience I could tell in a few minutes that she could adapt to any situation and be an amazing employee. Thank you Jay.“

“They were way understaffed for a lunch rush on a sunday. Only three people on sift. The three people working did great under the pressure. Wish management would have given them atleast two more people so the line could have moved better, and so mistakes were made, but the staff even though short handed were very welcoming and fixed my order promptly.“
