“The menma was dressed with fried garlic and chili oil and went very well with beer. I ordered the Creamy Ramen (vegi) as a novelty, and it was very delicious with the flavor of the soy milk and dashi stock. The fried kale was flavorful and had no bitterness.“

To be blunt it's ok, it's not bad but it's definitely not something that I'd say is above average too.
Broth is ok, pork is fine, it's basically ok.
Gyoza was nice though.
Pricing wise it's a tad high too but it's not too out of line.“

I had the black garlic pork Ramen, extra spicy. It burned so GOOD, had to take half to go. Every ingredient was fresh, flavorful, and filled with that homemade love that takes a meal to a special place.

The spice didn't overpower the strong flavors of garlic and soy that made every bite just pop with delight.

Vy really made the experience, though. She was on top of everything, with a warm smile and kind word. Gave me some good recommendations, as well as a tip for what I should try next time after I told her how much I enjoyed what I had ordered. Her quick resting and warm welcome got me into the building, and made me not want to leave.

Make sure you keep her as a server because she is definitely a benefit to a fantastic place. Thank you, guys, for the good time! 😁“

I had the pleasure of dining at Rice Junky in Santa Clara today, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, Joe, the manager, and Jay, the server, made me feel incredibly welcome. Their attention to detail and genuine care for customers shone through in every interaction.

The food, oh, the food! It was a delightful journey through flavors that are both comforting and exciting. Each dish was prepared with such skill and passion, truly showcasing the best of Korean cuisine. The ambiance of Rice Junky added to the overall enjoyment, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that complements the culinary experience perfectly.

I cannot recommend Rice Junky enough to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable dining experience in Santa Clara. Thank you, Joe and Jay, for making my day brighter. I look forward to my next visit!

“Came here for dinner on a weekday evening and it was empty. The staff was super friendly and helped me decide what to order. I went with the grilled veggie curry and the veggie curry ramen. The curry itself was tasty, though the broccoli and peppers felt too raw. The ramen was okay but the broth felt diluted and the noodles didn’t soak up much of the flavor. Portions were on the smaller side for the price, so it didn’t feel like the best deal.“

“The Tonkotsu broth and original thick noodles were great and the free garlic/chilli was divine (got 2 servings of the chilli) chashu belly was melt in your mouth delicious but portion wise was a bit lacking.

The main pain point was the wait honestly. I think I waited about an hour due to a nearby convention and being a walk-in customer. Definitely try to get a reservation if you want to try their ramen.

The MAIN thing I liked was how they included a 15% service feeand tell you about it upfront and don't ask for additional gratuity! What a huge surprise considering the other places I've been to.

“Listen up, here's the move if you're coming here for ramen: get the chicken paitan ramen and skip the tonkotsu deluxe. No idea why, but while the broth for the tonkotsu was fine, it didn't transfer to the noodles at all so the total effect was it lacking flavor. My partner had the chicken paitan and I ended up wishing I'd gotten that instead.“

“This place is amazing! Mike, Rosario and Isabel really made the trip I had worth while and then some! I was there to celebrate my sisters Bday and I madd a mistake with my booking. The aburi shime saba is the best thing on the menu. It’s lightly poached and the caramelized sugar on top adds the perfect contrast of texture and flavor. I’ve been here a few times to try the appetizers, but the MUST GET item is still this saba.

Uzumakiya Udon: (4/5)
The Uzumakiya Udon is good，the noodles are chewy, not overcooked; and the broth is flavorful. The other toppings leave something to be desired, so if you want to be satisfied, order the Oxtail instead. (Although it’s gotten quite expensive😔）“

“We loved this place. 4 of us went on a Saturday night around 6 and got a table without a wait. Food was delicious- especially soup dumplings, pork belly with noodles and sesame balls. “We were initially thrilled about the variety of ramen options, but our excitement turned into disappointment when we realized that all ramen choices featured pork broth. Unfortunately, there were no pure vegetarian, vegan, or chicken alternatives. As a result, we opted for bento box selections, specifically the Chicken Karaage Curry and BBQ Chicken. Arriving around 9 pm on a weekday, we found that noodles were already unavailable, so we had to settle for rice only. Despite this, we enjoyed the well-presented and flavorful BBQ Chicken more than the Karaage Chicken, although the curry portion wasn't sufficient for all four chicken pieces. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, but we wished for more diverse options, especially in the ramen selection.“

My friend and I both ordered the Miso Ramen (~$18.50 each before tax) which were large portions that came with very tasty and tender large slices of pork. The broth and noodles were also flavorful without being too salty.
