“I just happened to walk into this place cuz I was staying down the street. The first person I met was a young lady named Stacy and from there on it was just a great time. Went back twice more two more days just because of her and how inviting she was how good the drinks were, how friendly everybody was. It was a really good time nothing bad to say about this place. Tyler I think this was his name you can't he's the only redheaded guy in the bar but he's a GM great talking to you great dude. PS food was really good.“

“I took my mom here last night for a special mother/son dinner to celebrate Mother’s Day and boy did this place go above and beyond…I had called ahead to ensure they serve Japanese A5 Wagyu as my mom had never had it before… it’s not on the main menu, but they have it ? ? ?We were incredibly fortunate to have Rafael as our waiter…we will be asking for him again as his professionalism, knowledge, personality, and recommendations were top notch. In addition, Eliza (Asst. GM) checked in on us several times to ensure we were having the best evening. The service here is some of the best I’ve ever had.We had the wedge (chopped), Beet ravioli salad, 6oz A5, 10oz wagyu fillet, scallops, Mac and cheese, asparagus, and finished with the Panna cotta.I can’t wait to come back here. “Came for lunch with my gran about a month after my grandfather passed. It was my gran's first outing since the funeral and i was worried but our server was this adorable silver haired woman named Rebecca. She had my Gran laughing the whole time. We ordered combos and the suggested jalapeño watermelon margaritas, which were spicy and refreshing. We needed a nap afterwards because we were too stuffed! My gran won't stop asking when we can go back. Thank you South of Nicks for lovely meal, and Thank you Rebecca, for helping a family member feel normal after tragedy. You are in our prayers“

“We had a wonderful time at Bloom last night. We showed up early and just figured we'd hang at the bar but they had our table ready and yay for us. We began with the pork belly and sweet potato gnocchi—so good!! The sauce was just a perfect balance to the two different tastes. My husband the non-starter kind of guy said it was the best pork belly he's had. We both got the meatloaf - cause if meatloaf is on the menu, you know it's going to be good. It was! Portions are huge and leftovers were brought home. Service was so personable and they treated us like we were the only ones there, which we definitely weren't - they were busy but the sound doesn't carry so it was easy to sit across from each other and have a conversation. We will be back.“

“We went here for dinner. It’s a laid back beach town atmosphere; a little loud but that’s to be expected in a beach town. It was peak rush hour and service was a little slow which we knew would happen. The food was very good. We had coconut shrimp, wagyu burger, mushroom and truffle pizza. All items were delicious. Reservation highly recommended, especially on weekends.“

“This was an impromptu lunch as we toured San Clemente and drove town to the ocean highway tp see the long and beautiful coastline in Orange County. And then we saw the pier and Fisherman's at the base. The scenic beauty of the entire Pier environment, the buildings around it, the ocean, the human presence, it was all idyllic. After walking the pier, watching the surfers, fishing aficionados, and taking in the sun, we decided on lunch and there it was. Seating at a table overlooking the beach was instantaneous. The menu is extensive and the beer menu has plenty of the local microbrews. I had an awesome grilled chicken sandwich on a focaccia and some incredibly tasting Cole slaw. Relaxing, superb service, great food, beautiful scenery and a good time. What else can one ask for?“

“5/8/24Stopped in for lunch today at Famous Francos. We arrived at 3 pm and were greeted by Gabe, the owner. Melissa was our server/bartender and was simply amazing. What a genuinely nice person and true professional. We started with drinks. My wife had Don Julio Blanco with Topo Chico and three limes muddled with mint, and I had a few mango frozen margaritas. Melissa makes a great drink. The ambiance is positive and upbeat, and the music is excellent. We both had chicken fajitas, and the presentation and taste were superb. The flan was very good as well. One of the best Mexican restaurants in the OC area. Highly recommended.5/5/24What a great time on Cinco De Mayo at Franco's famous. They were crowded, and we got a nice spot at the bar. Taylor and Melissa provided stellar service. We had several tequilla drinks and shooters with our new friends, Jeff and Rochelle. The food service and live music by Anesta Rose were excellent. Everyone was in a festive mood and there was dancing and a lot of great music. Fun times at Franco's Famous. Our amazing server and bartender was Taylor P. and she was awesome. We started with chips, salsa, and some margaritas and cocktails. Taylor mixed some amazing cocktails. Top Shelf. The Don Julio Blanco with Topo Chico and three limes muddled with mint was fantastic as was the Don Julio 1942 chilled on a large ice cube. We also had a few margaritas. The chips and salsa are fresh, and the salsa is quite tasty. Taylor took our entree order, and my wife had the Chicken Enchiladas Vallarta . She loved them, and I had the chicken fajitas with flour tortillas. Both dishes were superb. Gabe brought out our food and was friendly and very professional. This was our first time here, and we plan to be back. Also to note this restaurant appears to be very popular as it was packed. Also to noted they are having a Cinco de Mayo event this Sunday. Our bartender was fabulous, our meal, Branzino.. delicious, eye appealing, beautiful presentation and enough to split We met the owner who spent ample time with us as we asked questions about his journey opening the location, his background and the concept/vision for the restaurant and we met the GM. I loved the ambiance, open and welcoming and they have a mercado with authentic product. Next time I'm going to the pizza bar with some more birthday girls!“

“View is 1000% amazing. Come here just for the view and you will not be disappointed. As its name suggests it really does offer a 180° view of the ocean blue. The seating is self seating and we waited around for seats by the front to give us an unobstructed view of the ocean. I think that they can use a few more table servers and they seemed to be short staffed as it took a while for someone to come clean our table and take our orders. We ordered the oysters, ahi tuna tartare, surf and turf, tacos, swordfish skewers. Everything was solid. The watermelon mule is refreshing. We would have ordered more, however, the menu is brief. “One of my favorite Bars in Orange County! If Anthony Bourdain was alive, he would have a pint here and the world famous PO PO Shot. Katie is my favorite bartender. She is always nice and without saying anything, she knows when you look at her that you need another drink. She has a good memory too. The second time I went she remembered what I drinked the first time. She even took a song suggestion and played it. Overall this bar is super cool because of the people that go to it and the friendly staff that makes you feel at home. I strongly recommend this place to anyone and it's a staple of Laguna Beach like Marine Room and the Dirty Bird.“

“This restaurant should be packed full daily! Peking Duck is fabulous and then comes the delicious duck soup. The bbq pork is amazing. Abalone is not for me but everyone else said it was fab. We try to go at least once every couple of weeks it's that good. Cocktails are great as well. CiCi & MoMo are attentive and funny servers who really know how to take care of you. Everyone has the misconception that this place is expensive. And that is a big misconception. It's all relative. Even tacos aren't cheap in Laguna Beach! I could name at least 5 other restaurants locally that are way more expensive. Let's keep this great restaurant open for us to enjoy!“

“I went to karaoke on Tuesday night. First time visiting. Had a blast. Bartender Holly was amazing. Very friendly and accommodating. Makes us feel so welcomed. Ivan the KJ was awesome. The security guy was also very friendly and accommodating. The place is very clean and has a great ambiance. We get to meet a few regulars and all were super friendly and nice. Partner had chicken & waffles and we shared beet salad. Cocktails were ok but not a standout. Like many places in coastal areas, the dining experience is more about the location than tremendous dishes.“
