“First off, Terrific Customer Service at the Long Beach, CA location! The manager is amazing. So helpful with recommendations when asked, provides great detail, and is so enthusiastic about the incredible menu. Tocaya at 2nd & PCH has lovely, fresh, bright, clean food. The menu is unique and flexible. You get to choose the protein you want, the cheese you want, whether or not you want your dish to be vegan. So many options and super tasty food! My friend really enjoyed the VEGAN Asada & VEGAN Tinga tacos. I loved my Taco Salad with gluten-free, battered & fried mahi-mahi (that was so, so scrumptious) with Queso Fresco. I swapped and got the cilantro lime dressing (instead of the roasted poblano dressing) and my bowl of goodies was delicious. We shared and relished the Street Corn and the (VEGAN) Queso & Chips. We were both shocked to find the Queso was VEGAN; it’s that good! We also tried the vegan Crema, just to check it out — SO yummy. AND the obviously homemade chips were mouthwatering. Tocaya has seasonal Sangria selections, beer, and other interesting drink options. They’ve got indoor and outdoor seating… and I recommend you head over soon!“

“Didn't fail to meet our expectations. We had a table of 4 and we were good to go in just about 30 minutes. The noodles and meat were so good and the staff were very attentive. Our server, Evelyn refilled water and broth as well as bringing us our food. As a fellow food enjoyer I would definitely have to put this hotpot place up there it was so good. “We visit our grandkids (and their parents) from Florida. We stumbled across The Butcher's Daughter in West Hollywood (CA) and it became our faourite restaurant out here in 1 visit. The food is amazing. The actual restaurant is very different in layout but very appealing. The wait staff have all been top of the line. I went there last night with 2 friends that I haven't seen since we all went our separate ways 40 years ago (two are here in CA) and we had a great time. It was a wee bit noisy at night - the mornings are usually a little quieter. We took my grandkids there - 16-month-old twins - and again, the experience was excellent. We are all looking forward to going back again as soon as we can. Charles PS. The Mushroom, quinoa and beet burger with gruyere is completely mental - in a very good way. And if you want your country fries crispy, they will do that too!“

“Call ahead! The wait at the sandwich section can - at times - be a bit slow & tedious and can cost you half your lunch hour. Plus I don't love the fact that their default channel is "Fix News". Still, the salad bar is fabulous. Also, Maggie and Ruby absolutely rock! :-)“

“Every time I enter Meteora I feel transported into another world (one I want to visit again and again)! The gorgeous rainforest boho-chic design paired and the captivating global music that's played create a very romantic and magical environment. The food is delicious and so artfully prepared that I often find myself pausing mid-conversation just to savor what I'm eating (and looking at). The staff is warm, helpful and consistently welcoming. Meteora is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the world.“

“Not a big fan of sitting on the side of street where people walk by and you intake that fumes coming from all these traffic. Got to sit inside by the bar, the food here is okay, but a bit pricey for what it's worth. Been to many affordable to very expensive sushi places in the U.S. and in Asia, this place is more IG/social media friendly picturesque place than an actual sushi/sashimi place. Not much nigiri/sashimi choices. Not a big fan of places that sell pre-made canned alcohol with an extreme markup.“

“Wow! Went here for the first time this morning and I was not disappointed! The bagels themselves are delicious. Crisp on the outside, soft in the inside. I got the whitefish salad bagel (closed) and it was so delicious and packed!!! It’s definitely worth the price that’s for sure. Fair pricing overall. Lots of street parking but not very many actual seating so just be wary. Would 100% come back“

“I don't even know where to begin... Two Hommes is an absolute GEM! My dad and I went last night, and from start to finish, it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Every single dish was perfection. We ordered the Root Beer Braised Short Rib, Chilean Sea Bass, Garlic Noodles with Bebere Shrimp, and a side of Herb Lamb Chops and honestly, every bite showcased the chefs' incredible skill and artistry. You can truly taste the craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into every plate! The service was immaculate, and our server Nia went above and beyond. She was warm, attentive, and had excellent recommendations including the Suya Plantain Cake for dessert, which was absolutely unbelievable. Even though we didn't have drinks this time, everything else was so outstanding that we're already planning to return next month (we're visiting from PA!). Lastly, the ambience was lovely. Sophisticated yet cozy, with a vibe that makes you want the moment to never end. If you're in California and haven't been yet, GO. Don't walk, RUN. This place deserves all the praise. “So good! We enjoyed all of it. Great vibe. Not too busy on a weeknight. Fun neighborhood to walk around. We each got the platter for one — he with butter chicken, me with Tikka Masala. They also came with daal and a special dish with garbanzo beans, rice, and whatever naan you chose. We also ordered cocktails. Mine was a spicy margarita and his was a Punjabi mango frozen cocktail. Both were very good. We also had chai with dinner and it was delicious. The server was very nice and gave us a gratis dessert of very sweet donuts in sauce.“

“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. You've been eating and drinking all day, and are exhausted? Don't leave yet! Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere. I consider myself a foodie, and try as many different restaurants and cuisines as I can. And yet, Playa Provisions remains my favorite restaurant in LA (and that's saying something, considering the amazing places in LA). Run, don't walk, to Playa Provisions. You'll thank me.“

“We’re very happy to find a halal restaurant near where we’re staying. This was our first time trying Somalian food. The food taste was delicious and interesting and the portion was generous, easily shareable between two persons. Our dish had lots of beef and very flavorful rice.

The restaurant ambience was also interesting, it felt like going back to 1970-1980.“

While I understand it’s a ramen spot, their décor and presentation are more refined than most, so the hectic atmosphere detracted slightly from the overall experience.“

“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.“

“For Venice this was 5* for me. Attentive staff, good cocktail/wine list, and most marvelous sausage/rabe orecchiette pasta. Loved the meatballs, okay pizza (mostly because all LA pizzas taste the same, soggy in the middle, yeasty fluffy crust and whatever else on the middle), but the pasta...it was a little chewy, a little doughy (all in the best way possible), perfectly saucy, spiced to perfection. The Nebbiolo they source washes down splendidly after all the protein/carb intake. Servers are attentive, knowledgeable, non-intrusive but always around and quick.“
