“First off, Terrific Customer Service at the Long Beach, CA location! The manager is amazing. So helpful with recommendations when asked, provides great detail, and is so enthusiastic about the incredible menu. Tocaya at 2nd & PCH has lovely, fresh, bright, clean food. The menu is unique and flexible. You get to choose the protein you want, the cheese you want, whether or not you want your dish to be vegan. So many options and super tasty food! My friend really enjoyed the VEGAN Asada & VEGAN Tinga tacos. I loved my Taco Salad with gluten-free, battered & fried mahi-mahi (that was so, so scrumptious) with Queso Fresco. I swapped and got the cilantro lime dressing (instead of the roasted poblano dressing) and my bowl of goodies was delicious. We shared and relished the Street Corn and the (VEGAN) Queso & Chips. We were both shocked to find the Queso was VEGAN; it’s that good! We also tried the vegan Crema, just to check it out — SO yummy. AND the obviously homemade chips were mouthwatering. Tocaya has seasonal Sangria selections, beer, and other interesting drink options. They’ve got indoor and outdoor seating… and I recommend you head over soon!“

“We dined at Meteora for the 6-course tasting menu with the hybrid drink pairing and added the grilled avocado with Kaluga caviar, and overall it was a memorable, well-executed Michelin-star experience. The food was highly creative, with interesting and thoughtful twists throughout the menu - my standout dish was the diver scallop crudo, where the sauce paired with horseradish cream was so compelling I wanted more with every bite. The avocado and caviar add-on was undeniably expensive but absolutely worth it for the depth of flavor, while my boyfriend especially enjoyed the yam course. We both agreed the dry-aged duck was cooked beautifully, but flavor-wise it landed on the more average end compared to the rest of the menu.

The experience was incredibly generous: complimentary wine, a sourdough bite, and an extra dessert were all included, and between those additions, the avocado course, and the tasting menu, we left very full - I was ready to tap out after the fourth course. The hybrid drink pairing was decent and appreciated since we didn’t want a high-ABV experience; the wine stood out as the favorite, the beer and sake were fine, and the juice pairing wasn’t for us. Desserts were solid, though not especially memorable.

Service exceeded expectations based on some prior reviews - we were welcomed by knowledgeable, warm servers who clearly understood the menu and made the evening feel special, even writing us a card for our celebration. The ambiance was beautiful and cohesive, and the entire meal felt polished and intentional. While this is an experience I’m glad we had once, it’s not something I’d personally return to at this price point, as there are other restaurants I’d choose for a repeat splurge. Still, it was a lovely evening and a worthwhile one-time visit for those interested in a creative Michelin-starred tasting menu.“

“Call ahead! The wait at the sandwich section can - at times - be a bit slow & tedious and can cost you half your lunch hour. Plus I don't love the fact that their default channel is "Fix News". Still, the salad bar is fabulous. Also, Maggie and Ruby absolutely rock! :-)“

Got to sit inside by the bar, the food here is okay, but a bit pricey for what it's worth. Been to many affordable to very expensive sushi places in the U.S. and in Asia, this place is more IG/social media friendly picturesque place than an actual sushi/sashimi place. Not much nigiri/sashimi choices. Not a big fan of places that sell pre-made canned alcohol with an extreme markup.“

The layers were perfectly balanced and each bite was full of rich, savory flavors. Let's not forget dessert! We shared a few different things and they were all great. The tiramisu was fluffy and decadent and the chocolate mousse was rich and smooth. Overall, Angelini Osteria is definitely a must-try for Italian food lovers in Los Angeles. Justified its rank as #2 in the US and #44 in the world. That crust is the perfect fluffy-yet-chewy balance, and you can taste the quality in every bite Also, make sure you save room for their tiramisu to end your meal.

“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere. And yet, Playa Provisions remains my favorite restaurant in LA (and that's saying something, considering the amazing places in LA). Run, don't walk, to Playa Provisions. You'll thank me.“

While I understand it’s a ramen spot, their décor and presentation are more refined than most, so the hectic atmosphere detracted slightly from the overall experience.“
