“Yesterday, I discovered a hidden treasure in San Dimas - Sweet Savory Cafe. This cafe is known for its delicious cookies that sell out quickly. They offer a variety of international flavors, including Cuban sandwiches, salads, soups, freshly made bread, empanadas, and other bakery items. Some items are not listed on the menu, so you can ask for the Chef's Daily Special. I always look for clean and relaxing cafes where my family can eat, or I can simply sit and enjoy a book. My experience at Sweet Savory Cafe surpassed my experiences at other cafes in Pasadena, Claremont, and Upland. I arrived early and enjoyed warm cookies and bread, which were absolutely delicious. I ordered various items including coffee, soup, breakfast, and bakery items. Despite not being a coffee drinker, I found the coffee to be delicious and memorable. I also tried their Healthy Breakfast Burrito with added bacon, which was customizable and very filling. The Lentil soup had an amazing aroma and taste. I can't believe I didn't know about this cafe before, especially since I work in the city! For those new to the cafe, you can order through Uber Eats, Grubhub, Postmates, and DoorDash. They even have Keto-friendly San Dimas Barbershop Tacos! There is parking available in the front and back, and plenty of seating inside and outside. If you have a large party, they can accommodate you by pushing tables together. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a wonderful place to read a book or enjoy a meal with family. They also offer freshly made orange juice, and all their sandwiches are made with their own bread. I tried a new flavor of Sweet & Savory bread and found it to be very delicious. I added cream cheese to it yesterday and tried it with butter today. This is definitely my new go-to place for food. I appreciate the cleanliness of the cafe and the fact that it's open early on for breakfast including Saturday and Sunday. I was even able to order all these items on a Saturday at 7AM. “I brought my 8yo to meet with a friend and her children. We ordered the chocolate cake, Baby Fire Owl and the Hojicha Latte. Both drinks were very good and my son enjoyed the cake. The kids played several games and had such a good time we didn't realize we stayed past 3pm. The cafe staff were so sweet, they didn't even tell us they were closed.“

“Great HaloHalo! I really enjoyed it even after I received it through delivery. Came in a large cup with all the good mixings and layers of shaved ice, milk (your choice of 2% or oat), various sweetened beans, jellys, tapioca pearls, fruits and topped off with a scoop of ube ice cream.

Chicken adobo bomb has a flaky crust similar to a croissant on the outside filled with shredded chicken seasoned as adobo. It wasn’t bad. I enjoyed this flavored bomb better than the corned beef bomb.

Corned beef bomb is the same crust as above. The inside is just corn beef and potatoes. I found the corned beef to be lacking flavor and it just tasted plain overall. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either? It was just meh.

I really enjoyed their crinkle cookies. I order strawberry and lemon. It was bigger than I thought they would be. I loved how the cookie was crispy on the outside and very fluffy in the middle. It was super good coated with powdered sugar.

I was excited to try their guava strudel as I love the guava rolls from Portos. These ones from Kape were amazing. I love that they sprinkle sugar on top of the crust to give it a bit more crunch.

Ube cupcake with the flan on top wasn’t quite hitting for me. The cupcake itself was really dry and the flan is not flan without the caramel sauce. You can taste the ube, but the cupcake itself received was really dry.“

They even have a window to the kitchen so you (or your kids) can watch the magic happen in the kitchen. The first time I went there I was reminded of my Dad and my time in Palermo. “I've been going to Crave Coffee for quite a while now and their coffee and service never disappoints me. I've met both the owner and their child who works here. They both have wonderful personalities and are very inviting, even on busy days! I can tell that the owner takes a lot of pride and passion in their business and service they give to our community. 🩷

I haven't tried their food because I have a gluten-allergen. The only available gluten-free food they have available are cookies (made by another supportive small business). Hopefully one day they'll at least have gluten-free bagels lol!

As for the pricing, you can't really complain about it. It's out of our control, and their control. Everywhere you go, a cup of coffee/boba is going to cost you nearly $8-10 these days (which is crazy!). But you can't blame these small businesses since this is their life and trying to make a living. Other than that, their coffee is far better than Starbucks, Dutschbros, and Klatch! “The prices here are GREAT, and on top of that, it's going to a good cause. And even their cups say they use fair trade coffee - so it's amazing that even with that, they keep the prices low. There's a good variety on the menu that you could come alone or meet a friend here for a very affordable and quick breakfast, lunch, or just coffee.
The breakfast sandwich was nothing amazing, and they accidentally made my coffee cold when I asked for hot, but I can't complain much because of the prices. Also, I ordered a latte and breakfast sandwich and was charged $7-something, and then later saw the sign that said today's special was a latte and breakfast sandwich for $5. -_- But again, wasn't worth complaining about.

I would come back to try maybe an acai bowl or a lunch sandwich.“
