“Mizuki in Citrus Heights is hands down my favorite spots for sushi in Sacramento. It’s become a go-to for our work (Deacon) crew for years; we’re here so often that the owner, Ella, knows us all by name. That personal touch makes every visit feel special.

The food is consistently amazing. The Red Dragon roll is my favorite with jalapeño peppers also it’s just packs the perfect kick. The Citrus Roll is fresh, flavorful, and a perfect signature touch. And don’t even get me started on the gyoza—easily the best in town. Pam seared to perfection on the outside, flavorful inside, and always served piping hot.

Whether it’s a casual lunch or a post-shift sushi fix, Mizuki is always my go-to. Can’t recommend it enough!“

“Silver Sake “Where Everybody Knows Your Name”. This is the go to place for sushi. It’s more than good food. It’s an experience. The staff from chefs, wait staff, to kitchen staff, greet, engage you with friendly smiles. The food is always amazing my kids enjoy their chef choice (Omakase) rolls. Matter of fact we always leave it up to the chef to make whatever they see fit to serve us. Never been disappointed and always left our appetites pleasantly satisfied. When it’s time to leave, as you walk out the doors, you’re always sent off with “ We’ll See You Tomorrow”. It takes every ounce of willpower to not return the next day.

“We ordered two combos of the ramen and kimbap and one of the soup (I forget), bulgogi kimbap, and the fire chicken. All were very good. Our server was a young woman who had blue hair. She was very nice and attentive and polite. I loved her! The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. I want to come back and try their other food.“

“Their shave ice is very soft and fluffy, not hard at all. They're also generous with the syrup but not to the point where it's too sweet. Also recommended their beef teriyaki. The beef is thin and easy to chew and there is always the right amount of sauce.“

“Delicious and fresh fish quality, melts in your mouth. Chef's choice sushi was brilliant. The rice is a great texture, just needs a slight bit more warmth to be perfect. Good texture for ochazuke if they ever decide to go there 😃. Soup was perfect. Salad was your typical iceberg lettuce with standard dressing. I could've skipped the salad altogether. “First off don't let their exterior scare you off. I drove by the restaurant, saw the darkened for and no windows and almost left without going inside. I was pleasantly surprised to find a bright welcoming restaurant inside. I ordered the lunch special. It was up quickly and they packed my to-go bag with chopsticks, plastic ware, napkins and extra sauce packets! Food was tasty and fresh. Definitely coming back again.“

“This is one of the best Teriyaki place in the area! Consider this as a small mom and pop restaurant that gives you generous portion with flavorful taste. “Randomly decided on this place last minute and what a hidden gem. It was pretty busy but no wait. They had beer, wine, and even Pepsi Zero which is rare! While visiting Folsom I stumbled upon this gem of a place. I ordered a rice teriyaki dish with tofu and vegetables.
It was excellent!! Real tofu not the spongy kind. The portion was a good size. It was so tasty and light. Not full of oil. The owner, I'm assuming, was friendly and had lots of pride on his excellent dish. I ordered a to go chicken noodle dish for my son. He also raved about how good it was. My new favorite place to go to.“

“It was a very unique and an elite experience. The place the ambiance food service everything was slick. The food was unbelievably delicious. I had zakuro spaghetti. The light cream sauce in which the seafood and el Dante udon noodles was served in a well presented manner made my weekend special. Highly recommend for a date night or any special event night if you would like a slick and elite experience . Food be it salad or entree or shooter was done with great care. “We are long time visitors to Blue Nami and we love the convenience and how easy it is to also order it to go, the atmosphere is really cool. Kind of feels like Pirates of the Caribbean in there. I called to ask what happened, but what I was told is that all I could do is come pick up my already cold order. It was good but cold. “My personal experience here was very positive one and the employee that served me was very kind and helpful her name was Nia and she did a wonderful job. The food was pretty good on par with other sushi restaurants around. Inside there a moderately loud environment but nothing that prevented conversation. Overall I had a good experience here and will definitely put it on my list of top sushi spots.“

“Gift card scam. Mikunis implemented a new protocol in 2022. Any gift cards that were purchased before a certain (unknown) date, and now utilized, will be zeroed out. Back story: I attempted to use a gift card today (April 2023) and was informed it had a zero balance. The server kept my card. I had a gut feeling, asked for the card back. I spoke to the manager about how I could have a zero balance when I had never used it. The manager informed me that corporate zeroed out all gift cards that weren’t used. In order for me to get my money on the gift card, I have to call corporate headquarters and “request” an inquiry; which I did to no avail. It’s not about “expired” gift cards. It’s about not informing consumers ahead of a new rule that gift cards be zeroed out before a certain date. I’ve used 10 year old gift cards at other restaurants without any problem. Biggest scam ever.“
