“Just tried this place out, and I'm definitely coming back! The coffee was great (I got the burnt sugar latte), the employee I spoke to was helpful, and the service was very fast. I love the atmosphere of this shop, and the decorations are adorable. It felt very clean and modern, but with a touch of whimsy. Definitely a 5/5“

“Excellent baguettes. We tried the full-size omelette sandwich - a generously portioned, perfectly prepared soft French omelette in a crusty baguette. Superb. Almond and chocolate croissants were also very good.

It's counter service, right on the sidewalk of busy Melrose Ave. No seating other than a bench and a couple of stools to use while you wait for your freshly prepared order.

Parking can be a challenge. We snagged a street spot on Harvard. There's a park nearby with benches and shade if you want somewhere to eat your treats.“

“There are several excellent and unique boutique coffee stops on this strip and this one is especially representative of Hollywood today. Includes a bakery and kitchen with excellent offerings. My personal fave--plenty of tables and plugs for the laptop. If you want to linger, grab a hearty meal (breakfast and more, see menu) and write the next novel or blockbuster while supporting a coffee habit, this ticks all the boxes. “Came out because of an Eater article, stayed for the mochi pastries. Got an espresso cloud, a black sesame mochi cake bar, and a hojicha mochi muffin. Espresso cloud was tasty, black sesame cake had a great flavor, and the consistency of the hojicha muffin was spot on. Came on a Sunday morning so it was a bit packed and hard to hear orders get called out (hence the 4 star atmosphere), but would absolutely come back again.“

“My son brought me to doto last night for my birthday. We found ourselves in Silver Lake after a hike and he saw the great reviews and selected this for our celebratory dinner. We couldn’t have been happier! It was 5 stars from the special corner table, to the complimentary prosecco, to the incredible service - food - and atmosphere - to the yummy dessert with a birthday candle! We left happy, full, and knowing we’d return. Btw best burger and fries in LA! Thank you doto!“

“Pam's is a fun spot with movie-themed decor but the important part is the coffee and tea drinks are excellent and the service staff was polite, welcoming and efficient.
There were some baked goods on display but we didn't partake. There is available street parking nearby most of the time.“

Please please please get the beuongo bbang (붕어빵/taiyaki). As a korean american Ive been craving the pastry that my halmoni used to get me back in Korea and this is the most authentic and delicious one that beats the one in Korea! I was so startled by the taste that I urged my parents to try and they agreed that the batter is really well made. The drinks were great too but definitely on the sweeter side (try the zodiac drinks, thought it was a cute way to try introduce new drink combos).

Parking and store:
Parking lot is a decent size for it being in ktown. The store is small inside but the atmosphere is so cozy and cute.

Service:
Im pretty sure the man who was taking my owner was also the owner but he was super friendly. Would go out of his way to make sure customers can find the bathroom and would check in with each of his customers.“

“Honestly, I've only ordered from Frank's coffee via delivery service. My favorite item on their menu that I order consistently is their Dirty Chai. It's literally perfection. I think they make this down to a science. I've tried it iced & hot and it's good both ways. I've tried lots of dirty chai from a lot of different places, but Frank Coffee does it the best! Also, their chocolate chip cookie is to die for. I moan in ecstasy every time i take a bite of that luscious cookie. Also I just ordered their vegan, apple cinnamon overnight oats and it also did not disappointment. Love me some Frank Coffee!“

“One of the best coffee spots in Pasadena! Love coming here to get my caffeine fix in. I've tried most of the menu and you honestly can't go wrong picking any drink. They offer hot and iced coffee as well as matcha and a few pastries. The owners are extremely kind people who clearly love what they do and it shows. “Stopped by on this gloomy morning, zero wait in line despite it being quite busy. I was greeted upon arrival and the girl at the front took my order. She was super sweet. I was given a beeper for order, and both my food and coffee didn’t take too long. I tried their signature Laveta latte with sweet foam and their french toast. Both were 10/10. “Walked into the café 15 minutes to closing time not sure if they would take us in, but they were very kind to us and didn’t rush us and we had excellent service. I really like how you order at the counter many great options on the menu. As a Mexican American, I appreciate well-made Mexican food. I had the enchiladas Oaxaqueña and the taquitos Dorados and both were excellent. They do very well on their presentation as well. Can’t wait to come back and try other things on the menu. Prices are a little on the high end but overall, I think it’s worth it. My only critiques, and they have nothing to do with the food, would be to not make it so cold inside the restaurant and it would be great if the bathroom had a normal sink without the push button kind, ideally one that is sensor operated. These things are totally peripheral and are not influencing my overall view of the café, but if by chance anyone who manages the restaurant is reading this, maybe they can help improve the overall experience.“

“The Vienna matcha was so good, the sweet cream on top was magical.

Be careful parking in the parking lot. The security guard who is running the parking lot is not professional and will let people block your car in instead of directing them to park somewhere else. We had to wait 15 min for a woman to come out of the coffee shop to move her car. We found that that the security guard let her block us in as we were trying to move. People in LA can be very rude and extremely selfish and they will make it seem like you are in the wrong, when you aren’t. You have to tell the security guard to not let other cars block you in if you come here and to do is job correctly. You’ll see when you come here.“

“I was in LA for a conference and Jalsah Yemeni Coffee was on the same block I was staying. The owners were welcoming and the space was clean and quiet.

I ordered the pistachio latte and it was amazing. I absolutely downed it and wished I'd bought two. I went every day I was in LA, I tried a few different lattes and a cake slice. I have zero regrets.“

“Kumquat Coffee is one of the best specialty coffee spots in LA. The quality is genuinely next level — you can tell they really care about sourcing and how every drink is made.

The space is minimal and aesthetic, but pretty small, so it’s more of a quick stop than somewhere to stay for hours. There’s usually a line, but it moves fast.

Drinks are the highlight — especially their pour-overs and unique lattes. Prices are on the higher side, but it feels justified for the quality.

Downsides: limited seating if you want to sit and work.
