“Such a lovely place! I got an iced chai and it was so delicious. Probably one of the best iced chai’s I’ve had in LA. I highly recommend coming here. Plenty of seating and they have great drink and food options. The staff were so friendly.“
“The ambience is great! Very nice and homey spot. The staff was very kind too. We ordered a bit of everything.Pros:Prices are very good for all the dishes. Nothing was over 15 dollars on the menu. The shrimp wontons and pan fried pork buns were the best items with the most flavor. The beef roll was huge in size. Great for people that enjoy cucumber and thicker slices of the meat. The bean curd salad had a nice bite and flavor to it. They also have sparkling water on tap!Cons:Parking is bad. Getting street parking is like winning the lottery. The other option is to pay for parking which can range between 10-30 dollars. The dan dan noodles and sha gua mian did not meet our expectations. The noodles seemed a bit overcooked and a sauce/acid could have given the dish more of a balance in flavor. Our table marker was taken off the table a little early and that's when we saw on the receipt that a missing item was added incorrectly. Our server fixed it promptly so that was great.“
“Top tier dirty chai (they make their own chai) coupled with the unique smoked salmon bagel sandwich (with cream cheese, avocado, tajin, and berbere sauce) makes for an out of this world lunch!Add the decor and friendly staff and you’ll have yourself a memorable experience!“
“Tattoo artists are incredibly sweet, and very talented. The environment feels very safe and friendly, water is readily available if you need it, and the artists don't mind if you ask for rest breaks. I made positive conversation with everyone who was there at the same time as me. The artist I was there to see, Stanley, did an amazing job with my very tricky scar cover-up tattoo. Also, the aesthetic of this place is absolutely perfect, their interior design choices are really impressive. The green and pink floral theme is adorable.“
“"Sippin from your cup 'til it runneth over..." I heard JT performed at the Wiltern last night for free so I had his music on repeat in my head all day today during work. So of course I had to stop by here as soon as I saw the store name. I did NOT expect to find the best donuts I've ever had in my life. Period. I walked in and was greeted warmly and decided to just order the Original Sin and their version of classic milk. They were so nice and gave me another donut for free which was the Obrama. Everything was so scrumptious. I loved that the donuts weren't too big. The quality of the donut is so good that it only needs to be a smaller size to have the same effect as something larger. The outer texture and the crispness reminded me of the blueberry m&m donuts that they sell in OC where people line up for hours to buy. The donuts here taste better because the inside texture is a lot lighter and isn't as dense so you don't feel disgustingly full afterwards with regrets. I cannot wait to come back and get some for my family and friends. I wanted to test it out myself first prior to sharing with others. Yum! Also their classic milk was soooooo good and complimented the donuts so perfectly.“
“Get a delicious linch while dealing with parking tickets- DOT is right next door ?Love their turkish eggs and hubs likes their sandwiches. I adore black sesame lattes and theirs has a double shot of espresso ?Free parking in structure off of catalina when validated by them. Otherwise street parking on weekend is pretty easy too“
“i’ve had their pastries a few times and each time they’re AMAZING. Always super moist and fresh. i’ve talked to both the guys and girl that work there, and they’re just as sweet as their desserts. The pastries are a great aesthetic instagram post too!“
“My first time at Little Barn.. a vegan spot. It was just after the rain so everything was soaked. I could tell that if things were dry then the back seating area would be cute. The person taking our order was nice but the service wasn't as helpful as I would have liked considering it was my first time. The food was good but not amazing. I ordered the tamales which I had to discard the masa as it was too thick and hard. The monte Cristo sandwich was pretty good. I really liked the strawberry chocolate scone though. That was really good. I would definitely try it again.“
“The best bagel sandwich I’ve had yet! These bagels are not outshined by the ingredients inside like I’ve found with store-bought bagels. They’re so soft, chewy, and flavorful. The bacon egg and cheese are also delicious and filling. Store bagels have been ruined for me!“
“redownloaded yelp just so i could leave a review. i don't come to eagle rock often but i had some time to kill and decided to grab some breakfast here. i was immediately welcomed by the friendly woman behind the cash register who could tell it was my first time her and gave me the whole run down. the food and coffee was delicious and quick - i had an horchata latte and the breakfast croissant sandwich. while i was sitting and working, other staff members would check in and ask me how i was, brought me water without even having to ask. great spot to sit and work, but also such positive energy and sense of community here!“
“My first time here and I LOVE the ambiance, the environment is nice and the inside of this place is gorgeous. Just enough space and plenty of tables/seats to sit and even get some work done! GREAT music and vibes. However, I was not too fond of the managers here, they were a little rude and non-personable which rubbed me the wrong way. Especially the female manager here whose name I did not get, seems as though she was NOT fond of people of color. Lalo and Gabriel were lovely, had great energy, and were super attentive! Food and drinks aspect-wise, I LOVED the salmon cucumber toast and lavender oat latte. Very tasty, and would 1000% try again. I do hope if and when I return the management can be more friendly and receptive to ALL.“
“My go-to spot for simple french sandwiches. NEVER DISAPPOINTS! Ive had all of their meat sandwiches and their omelette sandwich. Always so good and fresh. love the crunch of the baguette with their rich butter or their gooey soft omelette. the omelette sandwich is my favorite, because i'm just an egg enjoyer and would prefer breakfast meals over lunch or dinner. I will KEEP on going back here! Also their ice pink praline latte, is a MUST TRY. not overly sweet with a nice floral scent to pair with its creaminess. this place is really a hidden gem in the neighborhood.“
“What can I say? This neighborhood sometimes doesn’t feel like home but it’s places like Joy that really help change that. First of all the cashier is attentive, the servers are friendly, fast and efficient. This place has amazing staff and food. The prices are also reasonable and their menu is relatively easy to understand. I had the joy special which came with an appetizer, small soup and a sandwich and iced tea. I chose the pork belly sandwich and it was so delicious the bread was so soft and I wanted to buy a roll of it. I also got the wonton soup which was so flavorful as well. I wasn’t a fan of the seaweed salad but everything else exceeded my expectations. I want to come back to try different menu items but this place is definitely top tier. Parking is a bit tricky but I suggest coming on a weekday when there is less people.Parking: There’s a paid lot in the back of the hardware store“
“Such a cute spot for coffee and lunch. They have good sandwiches, croissant, and coffee. Indoor and outdoor seatings available.I ordered:1. Matcha latte with oatmilk2. Chicken pesto sandwich3. El doe sotelo - egg whites, roasted and fresh tomatoes, fresh cilantro, avocado and olive oil. Black beans on the side. This is arepas for breakfast with the choice of scramble eggPaid street parking is available for this Pasadena downtown area.“
“Lots of food/drink/dessert choices in the buildingVegetarian options: The restaurants have some decent vegetarian choicesParking: Parking lot behind buildingKid-friendliness: They will totally want to try all the dessert and drinksWheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair elevator near front entrance“
“Try to get here as early as you can! I got here probably at 9.40 AM-ish. Definitely a pricey pastry BUT worth to try (and come back to). Probably one of the best croissants I’ve ever had in LA. Flake to perfection, inside is very buttery soft and fluffy. Atmosphere is very cozy and nice to work.“
“Recommended. I came by. There’s a kiosk to order and a cashier. I ordered the garlic bagel they are known for and the breakfast Becky. There’s an outdoor seating area as well as indoors. They have a merchandise wall in case you want to buy anything. Also a fridge section that has drinks. The kitchen is easily viewable to see what’s going on. The bagel was great. Also the breakfast Becky with its bacon and sauce. I really liked it.“
“My favorite coffee place so far! Their mint chocolate iced mocha is AHMAZING!! Creamy, rich while still being able to taste the coffee. The chocolate shavings on top were also delicious and nice addition. Limited parking as all we found was street parking but that's okay. Fast service. Their nutella croissant was divine and absolutely delicious! When in LA, will definitely be back!“
“Parking sucks very bad. Super professional hospitable staff. Clean bathroom. NO WIFI !!!! ample seating. Beautiful ethereal inspiring decor. Yummy coffee & pastries. Bad ass background music all the time. Will definitely return & recommend!“
“Such a cute coffee/stationery shop. I had the matcha latte with oatmilk and lightly sweetened and it was good but next time i'm getting regularly sweetened. I usually have to ask for lightly sweetened wherever I go and this time when I did, it could've used a bit more sweetener which is a good thing. This way I know they do not use too much sweetener in their drinks. The lady that ran the stationery station was so nice and helpful and she answered any questions about the pens she recommends and the paper quality of the notebooks. You can try the pens and how they write as they have a sample for each and paper to try them and I bought two pens as I love to collect pens.As far as parking, there's plenty of street parking, but I walked here from the nearby LA Historic State Park. It was nice taking a stroll through chinatown with my matcha latte and then I went back to the park to go for a walk. I would come back to this shop and try the other espresso drinks.“
“This place is great. The coffee is good. The beans they sell are fresh and great. The pastries are good. There's seating. There's parking. The people who work here are super nice and remember regular customers' orders. No notes. It's perfect. Go.“
“Best coffee shop in Hollywood, my favorites are the Filipino coffee (Ube latte) and I love their strawberry almond croissant, I recently tried their white miso glazed croissant, it was banging, love this place, hard to find a place with both great coffee and great pastries, I feel like it’s usually one or the other, but this place takes the cake. 10/10!“
“The food was tasty! Came out not even 10 Min after we ordered.( There were 3 orders before us)Fair priced for the food but drinks do seem overpriced. You can eat at the tables outside and listen to LA trafficParking: The paid parking behind the building is 3$ every 15min (limit 18$ in price) egg tuck doesn't validate but Starbucks does when you purchase (for only 30min)“
“Good, strong, sweet milk teas. They have taiyaki and coin bread with different fillings (just like the taiyaki). Both the Sound and jasmine milk teas were strong, and the boba were plentiful. Service was pleasant and quick.Parking: Small strip mall parking lot.“
“Banger Gelato/ice cream spot. I loved the unique flavors, the cashier serving us was gracious enough to let us try a bunch of flavors, and although there is limited seating inside, the outdoor seats are a vibe. I opted for the Ube Mochi flavor and the pistachio. The ube was very flavorful, and I did enjoy the mochi bits. For mochi being in a cold dessert, it was surprisingly still really soft! classic flavor, but I've never seen it be done gelato style so this was good! The pistachio is classic and it was just so delicious. Pistachio can be hit or miss for me but this place is definitely a hit. I'll for sure be back!“
“BABY! I do NOT play about coffee, living in seattle made me a whole coffee connoisseur and this place is spot on. I love when I can taste the flavors and still taste the COFFEE cus I don’t drink coffee for sugar I want to taste that espresso. On top of it the staff is so friendly I was literally going to a place for 6 months every other day and they didn’t bother to learn my drink or name like what? I will be back and I will bring my friends!!! So many options I am excited about!“
“Visiting from out of town and was so happy to try this entirely gluten free gem! The staff was so friendly, we had breakfast biscuits, donuts, coffee and more. Everything was so good. I also got a caramel bread pudding to go and it was amazing. Like another reviewer said, thank you for existing!!“
“I was in the area for a tire and in desperate need of coffee. I asked the barista which to get and they recommended the horchata latte, I got it with half the sweetener, iced and it was perfect. I even splurged and got a the tomato & mozzarella empanada (also recommend by the barista) chefs kiss! Came with a chipotle sauce of some kind and so fresh. I also opted for the spinach, egg and cheese empanada which was also delicious. Will definitely be back when in the area.“
“I passed by this spot everyday for work and checked it out.I had their shakerato and it was delicious, I asked them to make it less sweet and it was perfect. A solid morning drink to get you started for the day.I’d definitely come back again and try their other menu items.“
“It truly doesn’t get any better than this. Great free parking in the back (even though you have to share with bank customers so it might be tough to find a spot), ambient atmosphere, clean bathrooms, gorgeous setup( especially for working), friendly baristas, affordable, and delicious pour over. My must-stop go-to whenever i’m in Koreatown.???“
“Tiny little bakery, in little Tokyo specializing in Asian baked goods. It was packed so I didn't look at everything they had, but they had plenty of good looking sweet stuff to ruin your Hollywood diet. I just grabbed snacks to take on my travels. I snagged a bag of melon pan and it looks and taste just like anime told me it would. Also got a couple steamed buns, sadly they were sold out of anko, but I got pork and curry. Haven't tried those yet, but the melon pan got me excited for them.“
“Great coffee and comfortable working space. Love the vibe here. Chill community space, not stuck up vibes like some cafes. They have nice window seating, a little couch, and tables - so lots of comfortable seating options with power outlets available.“
“Tienen una selección muy amplia de bebidas sin llegar a ser demasiadas, la mía estaba muy buena, el lugar está limpio y tiene una estética minimalista, el postre estaba bastante rico sin llegar a ser empalagoso, y la bebida estaba bastante refrescante, si quieres tomar una bebida mientras te relajas una tarde de verano puedo recomendar este lugar.“
“I ordered the chicken fried steak and it tastes was savory, fresh and crispy. The gravy was smooth, creamy and not so salty. The service is very responsive and respectful however this place does get packed so expect a wait time. Ambiance feels like a hole in the wall type dinner as the location is in between many other shops in a shopping area. Well worth the wait.“
“I had their Tiramisu cake slice. Kinda dry. Staff was more interested in having their own conversations than taking my order. I felt like I waited forever but probably was more like 5 minutes for them to finally take my order. I also had their chocolate chip cookies. Definitely delicious.“
“Come here all the time. Food portions are very generous and the coffee here is great. A bit on the strong side at times but you’re definitely getting your moneys worth. The breakfast burrito, crepe, French Toast combo, and of course their açaí bowls are my favorites. They make a pretty hearty breakfast sandwich as well.Because their portions are big, don’t come here expecting to pick up fast food. The service is not slow. These people work hard to get your food orders ready accurately but wait time for your meal could be anywhere from 10-18 minutes. But when I tell you it’s worth the wait, trust me. I come here before work and order ahead for my lunch breaks.Staff is of course always great and friendly.“
“Great coffee house!!!You definitely need to check it out.I got the lavender latte and a fresh baked cookie and wow what an experience! I loved this place so much I came back the next day too!The lavender latte is super calming and yummy.Kris your barista is super great at spinning all the best rock and roll music and 90s grunge. Please don't ever change the music here!????I will definitely be back anytime I am in town.“
“Was craving fruit tea after the 626 market and found this spot on the map!I tried the house fruit tea with lychee jelly and no sugar and my boyfriend got a mango latte with boba and 50% sweetness. Both were honestly so good!! The mango latte was creamy and sweet and my house fruit was such a nice blend of fruit - it had pieces of strawberries, passion fruit seeds, and slices of lemon and lime. It's cute and cozy in here and there are some good restaurants in this shopping center. And the staff are friendly and helpful right when you walk in. They also do a weekly raffle for boba plushies!“
“Met up with people here and the name of the place fit. We couldn’t tell if it was New Orleans or Hawaii. Fountains, plants, shabby shiek iron and planks. Most seating is outdoors but shrouded with canopy of treetops and telephone poles.Eric was out waiter and he was all over it and took great care of us.Food was pretty good, can’t wait for a Sunday brunch w mimosas and a big plate of eggs, pancakes and crab cakes.“
“I'm a matcha nerd, and this is my favorite matcha spot in all of LA. The service is fast, kind, and thorough. The drinks are the star- creative menu and quality ingredients used. I was so impressed when the employees remembered me after ONE visit! They make such a point to make you feel welcome and loved. Overall, 10/10. I've never worked here, but it seems like a great place to study, as well!“
“a nice, refreshing place to get your ice tea fix! chun yang is located in a small plaza with a parking lot. i came on a thursday afternoon and there weren't many spots available. there is street parking nearby if you can't get a spot in the plaza. i got the honey osmanthus oolong tea, their #1 popular drink. i appreciated the server, who was very knowledgeable about the drinks and their sweetness levels. i got my drink at 50% sweetness, and it was still super sweet, so 25% is probably best if you don't like your drink tasting like sugar syrup. the tea, however, was the best part since it was strong and refreshing! this is a small shop, so don't expect any tables to hang out in here. there is a bench to sit and wait for your order, but that's all for seating. there is a public restroom for customers. overall, great place for a refreshing and strong tea drink. the quality of the tea was great, and it is perfect for a hot day.“
“I have accidentally found the greatest toast in all of America. I was here to meet some friends for an event and thought I’d pop in for a quick bite. I ordered the avocado toast thinking it would be an unremarkable snack. Have you ever experienced something so above and beyond expectation you wonder if you’re on a hidden camera show? This toast is that good. Toppings were fresh, seasoning was on point, and the toast was perfectly soft but toasty. Also ordered the Michelle Wi which lemonade and black tea. Great atmosphere, really friendly staff, nice patio and neighborhood parking nearby. Would it be rude if I ordered another toast? Actually considering it.“
“Me and my friends decided to swing by on a whim. It was raining hard and a warm drink is just what we needed to perk us up!I got a hot Chai Tea Latte and it did not disappoint! My friends got a cold Matcha Latte with cream and a hot Match Latte.I tried some of the cream and it was superb! Creamy and smooth with just the right amount of sweetness. Added some to my chai latte and it brought up to the next level. The inside is a bit small and can hold a handful of people. There are benches but not tables, do you can't really study. If you're in the area and want a nice tea I highly recommend it!P.S. There's a statue of two frogs on a bench next door and it's super cute!“
“I was in the area for work and a coworker actually recommended this place to me! It seems to be one of those trusty college delis that suddenly appeared one day and permanently becomes student lore. Inside, I found a quant mini-market stocked with a bunch of snacks, drinks, and the counter for ordering. The worker (i forgot his name!) helped us immediately, and I ordered the pastrami. I sat outside, where there were plenty of tables with shade! The worker brought out the sandwich to us, and I thought it was huge! The price seemed a bit high for ne, but that wasn't too big of a concern since the sandwich was jam packed with meat and kraut. The flavor wasn't too salty for me, and had the right amount of flavor with the bread. This was a great spot, and I'll have to stop by again.“
“I was driving by and was craving a coffee to get the morning started.I ordered a latte with almond milk and it was great. Solid flavor and the temperature was just right. The top of the cup was very ergonomic which made for a pleasant drinking experience. Solid location with other food spots and a nice outdoor sitting area.I’d definitely come back here again to try other menu items. Parking was limited to street but overall a great coffee spot.“
“The Earl Grey latte is SO GOOD!! I'd say this shop is a little pricey, but if you sign up for their rewards programs the points stack up past and you'll be getting a free drink or food item before you know it. I love that this coffee shop always has friendly staff and a peaceful atmosphere. Also has some outdoor seating if you want to bring your pup!!“
“A gem in Little Tokyo! One of my favorite places for matcha, and my top pick is the soft serve ?? The owners' attention is very friendly. The entire staff is attentive and always greets you with a smile. The space is quite small, and every time I've visited, it's always crowded. If you want to try something authentic, warm, and delicious, I recommend this place. ✨“
“I randomly stopped by this boba tea shop and I'm so glad I did because their drinks are so good. I ordered the Mango Sunshine and Orange Cloud and they are both equally so good and refreshing. The Mango Sunshine is creamy and has the tang from the mango with chewy mango jelly while the Orange Cloud tastes like an orange creamsicle!“
“East LA has been gradually building up its go to spots for coffee. Don't be fooled into the usual corporate SB -- no. If you need a boost, Mugs delivers. With great customer care, and a varied menu of drinks; how did they get a champurrado latte to work? They did and it's amazing. I always try a latte as a measure of an establishment's ability to prep a clean drink; Mugs has a great machine that delivers the taste and froth. I'm done with the others and filling mine at MUGS :)“
“Great local shop! We have been here a couple of times. Most recently we had the breakfast sandwich (pics included). It was super yummy and we would get it again. We also tried a donut which was great as usual! The service was friendly and our sandwich was prepared quickly There is seating inside but we have always gotten our food to go. The interior is clean and you are able to view all of the donut options. Check this place out!“
